Came here with a group of 12. Food and service were really good! From the steak to the lobster ravioli to the lamb chops, everyone enjoyed their meal. The atmosphere is nice and we had our own room BUT I have to knock off a star. This particular night when it was in the 90's their A/C "wasnt working properly". Which really meant there was no A/C. I like chops a lot. I like the hours and I appreciate the happy hour. It's one of the only places open on Monday night. But the menu hardly ever changes and there's never any specials offered. It makes me think it's not fresh curated food. But hey- it's rural Wisconsin. I don't think the potatos taste like fresh real potatoes either. It's expensive for possibly previously frozen food. The cocktails are hit or miss and the bartenders aren't personable...but I do believe it's better than Norton's now. read more

We visited Chops for dinner on a Friday night. In short, we were not disappointed. The appetizer of Ahi Tuna was downright amazing - one of the best I have ever had. We both had versions of the Filet Mignon and they were tasty and done perfectly. The service was amazing during our time there. My only regret is not being able to try more of the menu. I think I would really give this restaurant 2 .5 stars. We went Friday. The bar had a nice crowd, the restaurant 2 tables occupied. The service was excellent. Very nice attentive waitress. Brandy old fashioned was good..muddled as it should be. For a finer dining restaurant I would think they would use better cherries maybe even Luxardo. We started w calamari. Lots of batter on chewy rings of calamari. All entrees come w Caesar salad . Nice crisp lettuce dressed. It was good except for the chewy pieces of sun dried tomatoes. Totally not necessary. We needed a place to eat before a show at Thrashers. We walked over to Chops and asked for a seat on their sidewalk patio. We must have started something because before long the place was packed. Umbrellas kept the setting sun at bay. We decided to try a bunch of appetizers since happy hour was on (4-6pm daily). There are small and large versions of each option. Most pricing was between $6-$12 dollars. We chose small plates for each of tenderloin slider, coconut shrimp, and mozzarella sticks. The small tenderloin slider came with only one slider so we split it which worked out fine. The coconut shrimp was more coconutty than I typically taste but I liked it. Love the cocktail sauce. The 6 Shrimp were cooked to perfection. Mozzy sticks were very good as well. Our server was wonderful. I asked for her recommendation for a drink and she said the El Diablo was really good so I tried. It was spicy. Kind of a cross between a margarita and a Bloody Mary. Refreshing. I heard a gentleman at the table next to me order one and commented on how it will either get him in trouble or put him under the table. I can verify, it did neither. Great stop. read more

Half of the food is moldy. workers do not wash their hands when plating sushi and appetizers as they are told not to by the owner. food quality is not worth the price is set on menu. they order half of the food from Cisco, which is the same delivery that Greenlake County gets for their food. read more

Good American food. Pricey but you pay for fanciness. All good was decent, none that blew your mind but good fresh items. Several options to choose from depending if you are seafood or meat kind of person. Not much for vegetarians except the salads. Desert was greet, several options, we each got one of each. Parking was out front, during winter season it's not very packed. There is a bar. Not all servers wore masks. Big seating area and the tables are distanced nicely. Bathroom was clean, decor sleek. Let me just start off by saying the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous! We started out first with appetizers which were half-price by the way from 4 to 6 PM. Our appetizers included beef tenderloin over bruschetta and calamari. Both were excellent! We each had a bowl of their mushroom soup that was pretty good too. Now for the main course! I had beef fillet Oscar which was topped with crab meat over delicious scrumptious mashed potatoes with a demi-glace of veal stock! Absolutely outstanding to the very last bite. My niece had three ginormous scallops cooked to perfection over risotto! Again phenomenal! Our waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable in helping us decide our entrées! Everything was top-notch.!! Chops was an absolute perfect find! We were craving a good steak and our hotel mention that we should try Chops. Great recommendation, and glad we went. We started off at the bar where Joel was an absolute wizard with the drinks. The smoked old fashioned was fabulous. We went and sat in the main dining room where Joel was also our server. Ordered up the Ribeye and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The mashed potatoes were excellent as well. For dessert opted for the poppy seed lemon cheesecake. The presentation was excellent as was the flavor...yum. Back to the bar to visit...you guessed it, our new favorite bar tender...Joel. If you're going to splurge in green lake, let this be the place. The food and service is worth every penny. We're never disappointed. The happy hour rocks. I think it's not as popular because the initial ambiance when walking in seems off. It must've been refurbished or renovated in the early 2000s. I'm not sure, but the walls, lights, and furniture, it feel like I'm in the Sims computer game when you walk in. Disregard that and enjoy the best meal. I don't know why this place has good reviews, but maybe I should have different expectations for Wisconsin. I came over memorial day with a friend and tried the tuna tartar. Delightful staff and a fantastic meal. My husband and I both had the ribeye steak with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. Both steaks were perfectly cooked (medium rare and medium), and the veggies were crisp tender. The mashed potatoes were so flavorful. The Caesar salad was cold and crisp - they are very generous with the shaved cheese. The complimentary bread is warm and delicious. We ordered the California roll. What a huge mistake. I've had sushi from ALDI that tasted better!! I ordered the Filet Oscar. The meat had no seasoning or flavor..but there was a decent amount of crabmeat. My husband had a filet mignon, and he said his needed seasoning as well. I've never had a Caesar salad before, that had sun dried tomatoes in it. Dressing was hardly noticeable. It was ok. We were one of 3 tables on a Sunday night. The Cesar salad had sun dried tomatoes in it (why?). The food was good, came out quickly but then again with only one other table there shouldn't be a delay.
