One of my worst experiences. We came here for date night on a Friday at 6pm.The waitress was nice but you could tell she had been drinking. We got a couple drinks, never got refills even though we wanted them. We got the nachos, which were alright at best. My wife got the chicken tacos which were bland. I got the fish fry which was okay but the food runner dumped half of my fries on the table. I was not happy at this point. Wanted some ranch and more drinks but no waitress. As soon as a huge group came in with no reservation all attention to us came to a halt. They dragged the tables and chairs around directly behind us shaking the floor and disrupting our already distracted date night. Then started bumping into my chair so they could all squeeze in. Then as soon as we got up they grabbed our table for themselves immediately. It's way too loud in there, we couldn't hear each other not because of the amount of people but because the music was so loud. 70$ for 2 people is kind of insane for the service and food we got. Seems like this place is geared more towards tourists and bros rather than people who live and grow up here. Disappointing waste of our date night. Called back to give feedback after we left and the person we talked to obviously couldn't care less. We will not be back. Very unfortunate. read more

They don't serve lunch before Noon. Wanted to try Murphy's for lunch with the fam on a weekend and was denied trying to order lunch at 11:40a as "management/chefs get upset" if a lunch ticket comes in before noon. The waitress was so kind but embarrassed to have to tell us that, keep in mind our family of 4 doubled the current customers at that time. Just have to ask yourself if the folks running this business turn away people at 1140a for lunch, what other bad decisions could they be making. Ambiance is great and has been through all three restaurants it's been in the past 4 years. I used to come here all of the time but now that its Murphys, we don't anymore. It's overpriced tacos. The menu is limited and the food is all very basic. We gave it a good shot but- Every time we ordered, something always comes out wrong or forgotten. Then you get charged a ridiculous price. I have to say our waitress was amazing but we paid $100 for lunch and it took 2 hours for our food to come and the appetizer we ordered never came because they were missing an ingredient. The drinks were good. I think the bottom line is there was not nearly enough staff working. Our waitress seemed to be the only one and the restaurant was full. The food was absolutely outstanding! One of the best steak quesadillas I have ever had.The quality of the food out matches the price by a long shot. You will get your moneys worth and more here. The service is some of the nicest I've seen in Green Lake. The place was very packed but our server stayed cool calm and collective and made the dinner even better. Three strikes, they're out. The first time that I went with my husband. We stopped in for a drink and we had trouble getting waited on at the bar. Eventually we were served, and drink was good but pricey. The next visit there were three of us and we went to eat. The service was super slow which is hard to understand since there were so many servers standing around. We were told that they were out of chicken which is about 1/2 of the menu. The very last time, I went with my sister for a cocktail. They were not really too busy, but we had trouble getting served. We moved to a more prominent area and still we could not get served. Eventually we left. There were workers behind the bar chatting with patrons. In fact, there was a couple that were waited on next to us and since the bartender called them by name, I assume they are regulars. My recommendation is not to bother with this restaurant - it's not worth the aggravation. read more

The food was pretty good. I would definitely consider it more modern than traditional Mexican food, but still very good. Also a great bar and drink selection. Service was nice and we were greeted by both of the owners at some point. My only complaint is that we ordered the churros for dessert and they were definitely overpriced. My sister and I were excited to try lunch there, we both love Mexican food. Unfortunately, we passed on eating there. First of all, I was on crutches and had to hobble up the two flights of stairs for the downstairs was closed - no assistance from any of the employees. After looking over the menu, there were no vegetarian or vegan options. I asked our server if veggie burgers were on the menu or if there were meat substitutes such as beans. There are no bean or rice. Our server suggested Chips and salsa as a meal, or any of the appetizers. Tried this place for breakfast, and it was disgusting. The eggs were ice cold I'm not even sure they were real eggs to tell you the truth. The potatoes were old and greasy. We were in Green Lake to boat for the day and wanted to dine with a view of the beautiful lake...this restaurant was highly recommended by local folks and it fit the bill perfectly with delicious food, we had the freshly smoked wings (smoker was going in the back when we arrived), nachos and fish tacos AND a beautiful view of the lake and marina from our table. All food was great, and nicely presented, plentiful and reasonable in price. Bar and food service was top-notch. Restaurant was clean throughout, with classy up-north decor. Very pleasant owner was on-site and visited our table. Live music was setting up in the upstairs pub area. Will be a def go to for us when we are in the area, and highly recommend Murphy's! read more

The service is atrocious. The poor waitresses that have to work here!! I never review restaurants because I realize mistakes can happen however this was our THIRD trip to this place and instead of improving as the season progressed, the service was worse, the food delivery was worse, and the attitude towards their customers was worse than worse!!! To make a very long story short, our food was over an hour late, it arrived one plate at a time. I ordered the corn tortilla tacos because I always thought the corn tortilla would be cooked and most of the time fried and crispy, I told the waitress I thought it was the wrong order. We were sitting outside on ,the pier and to my surprise and disgust, the chef, and a couple of other guys from the kitchen walked out on the pier with a cold corn tortilla in his hand an a flour tortilla in the other hand, and to show me the difference between the two!!! In the restaurant business, an act like that was totally inappropriate!! I just wanted the corn tortilla cooked the way it should be prepared! WOW That was a lot of time taken to prove a point (the wrong point) while people are waiting hours for their food. I dont know if the owner ever appears at his establishment, but may I suggest he moves in for the rest of the summer! read more

We went there as a group of 6, with 2 kids, on Saturday. We were initially seated at 2 tables because they were busy (not a big deal). When a bigger table opened up we we're able to switch without an issue. As we ordered our meal we were finally informed they were out of beef. Also They do not have a kids menu. We switched up our meals and ordered anyways. We were told there would be a bit of a wait but we ended up waiting for 2 hours for our food. A different gentleman came over and when asked said he was the "janitor" checked on us a couple times. He was visibly upset about the lack of food. When the food came it was just okay. Nothing special or worth the wait. The most annoying part is as I was paying my wife took the kids downstairs to wait. The "janitor", after helping us and interacting several times, looked at them and said "we're not doing anything else with the kitchen." She said that's fine we're leaving. My daughter tired to talked to him. He said "that's cool" while she was in the middle of her conversation and walked away. The only positive to our visit was our waitress.
