Great service at the bar And delicious dinner! Bartender "Barb" delves out great information; Haase's Supper Club at one time offered an appetizer "Round Shrimp". A customer asked how they were made. Barb said they take Square shrimp and cut off all the edges making them round. The custom asked, "What do you do with the leftover pieces of shrimp?" Barb, replied, "We make soup!" When we first walked into the Supper Club, we got dirty looks as if we were "outsiders." We'd never been there before, so we had no clue how the place worked. Not a single bartender explained the process--we actually had to go up to one ourselves just to figure out that we needed to put our names on the waitlist. We were told it would be a 45-minute wait. Knowing that, we decided to drive around Poygan and look at houses. When we came back 45 minutes later, once again, not a single person acknowledged or helped us. We ended up sitting at a table, where we were ignored for another 10+ minutes. We finally stopped one of the waiters, who told us, "The people at the bar will call your name when your table is ready." No drinks, no food--just shitty service and being treated like garbage. Don't go here. I would legitimately give this place 0 stars if I could. read more

Ordered the haddock plus ribeye. $41 plus $10 for the ribeye. Didn't get the haddock until the end of our meal. I only ordered the haddock plus ribeye so my husband could have the ribeye for breakfast. Made a small complaint...they gave us a measly $3 off our meal. Seriously! read more

Arrived at 4:00 and was able to order by 4:45. Ordered Brandy Old Fashion sweet which was very good. Ordered the Queen cut Prime Rib. Salad was good but small portion. Soup was Chicken Dumpling. Good flavor but thinner than expected and very little chicken chunks. Bread on the table was warm and soft. Prime rib with baked potato came. Potato was of mid-size but acceptable. Now the prime rib was an issue. Taste was excellent but portion was lacking. the cut was at an angle with the fatty part being about 2" thick as expected. But the thickness tapered down to 1/4" on the meaty end. I was not going to complain there because of the company I was with. Was definitely not worth the $36 price. read more

Cool bar, fun atmosphere. Good service, great selection on the menu. "Tenderloin for Two" is perfect for two diners. Salad and soup, wo diners can split the "Tenderloin for Two". Great value. I'm not a big supper club fan, but this one is probably the best I've to. The food was decent (I had the 10 oz. tenderloin), and I can't believe anybody would ever complain about not getting enough. Our server, Emily, was excellent. read more

If there's any conversation as to where I've had my favorite cut of prime rib, I'll bring up Haase's. Yes, this charming establishment in the absolute middle of nowhere serves as the local "supper club" as they call them in Wisconsin where, you guessed it, they serve supper -- read that as "dinner" in parts outside the Midwest. After a long day of traveling the backroads to go hiking, I stopped by here to unwind. One of the best on-the-spot decisions I've made as far as roadside eateries go, for sure. The service was fine -- lots of locals here and perhaps they prioritize them first, but I don't consider this a knock. I'm not sure if I'll be back given the circumstance of proximity though I will highly recommend their food. read more

We arrived to a very full bar. Service was busy at the bar but they managed well. We put our name in for a group of 6. After a couple rounds the waitress greeted us with menus. We ordered shortly thereafter and were seated in a short time. I ordered the T-Bone steak and it was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered something off menu which they accommodated. The first thing you notice about this restaurant, is the sign damage. Torn to shreds by the last major storm to hit this area in a while. Despite the the rain, hail, and strong winds...it's still stands. A monument to the local popularity and comfort food, that has earned every bit of it's loyalty. I heard about their Prime Rib, and it did not disappoint! Perfect, with the perfect mix of horseradish/sour cream dip. Served with a side dish of au-jus, to self adjust the palette of flavored sodium condiment. My selection of (plated) buttered baby reds. Served with the freshest salad. A perfect compliment desert (might have been), a warm bread pudding w/cream cheese (based), and add a dollop of french vanilla ice-cream. But alas...there was none. Bottom line...the best served Prime Rib I have had in a while! The Staff was efficient and extremely friendly, even though it was a busy crowd, they managed it nicely! Might as well finish lunch and go strait to Haases for dinner,that's how long it will take. Met someone there at 7:15, waited 45 min to place order. No worries,by 8:15 the salad and table were ready in a half occupied place on a Friday night. The other 14 patrons are on the same page. Wait,except the one everyone's looking at that showed up 30 after us and got their food. It's now 8:50 and no soup...you see how this is going. Soup! 9:00. Meal...9:05. Friday fish. Two orders of baked haddock. BTW, is it salad without tomatoes? Sorry. Overcooked fish,but we are hungry. Darn, someone needs tartar. As I finish my last bites waitress asks how we are doing. We ordered the special and it took more than two hours. Unless it's free and I'm not hungry I'll never go back. Waitresses were great. Glad they don't share tips. We wanted to try something different, so we drove 45 minutes to check out this restaurant. We will likely drive the same route in the future. Start with drinks (like you do at all supper clubs). They were reasonably priced; however, the pour was a little weak. The old fashioned was not quite up to Scony standards. The salad before dinner was nice-sized and fresh. The peppercorn ranch was homemade and tasty. The bread was good, not great. The French onion soup was also just okay. The dinners were solid. The pork chops I had were thick, flavorful and juicy. Two people in our party of four had broasted chicken. It was also very good. The two people with steaks/prime rib were happy with their selection. The side dishes (potatoes and vegetables) were not very hot and only average in taste. Service was good. While the bartenders were nice but not overly friendly, the waitress we had was joking with our table and attentive to the needs of the table. While not 5 star, it is worthy of a second trip. read more

We have eaten here a number of times over the past 35 years. We had dinner here about 2 months ago. The steaks were awesome and such a great value for the price! Haase's seems like one of those hidden gems! We are so glad they are still open and going strong. read more

We haven't been here in a long time and until servings get bigger or prices come down, we won't be back. Perch dinner, good taste, but I thought they brought me smelt it was so small. $28. The wife ordered stuffed shrimp. The shrimp were very small and the fake crab was not that good. $28. Others ordered walleye, haddock or shrimp. $26-$32. They said it was ok, but way over priced. Our bill for 5 people: $160. The items we ordered were middle ground prices. They had a porterhouse for $52. We have been to Aldos at Sand Valley (elegant location) and their filet was $49 with all the fixings. Haases' hasn't upgraded since we were last there. The place was run down. read more

ate there last night. had tenderloin and shrimp, wife had tenderloin and perch. so started with bread and salad was really good, then our plates arrived... we both ordered our steaks medium they came purple inside, then the taste, i don't think they could put more butter on it. I used my napkin to dry the plate and steak from all the butter. took 3 more bites. still all u tasted was butter, first off, if u got to butter on a steak the chef should be fired. a tenderloin doesn't need butter if u know how to cook. so brought home for breakfast. cooked in pan with no oil or butter. still all u can taste. first time I ever threw steak away in 30 years. y would u drown a steak in butter? My shrimp tasted like fish. Probably should get a real chef, then maybe this place be as busy as everywhere else. read more

Service was excellent. Ordered the rib eye special. The quality cut off steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. When steak arrived it was still sizzling on the platter in the same manner it was presented years ago. Each bite of steak melted in my mouth. Meal served with full compliment of soup, salad, bread basket and veggies. French onion soup was hot and very tasty topped with just the right amount of cheese . Fantastic local steak place (combinng bar & restaurant). I had a very tasty tenderloin (around $20) and menu has a wide range of steaks, burgers and some seafood. Up to spectacularly large sizes as well - largest burger is a 40 oz! We tend to go here for New Years, the king crab is always great. The wait is a bit long, but worth it. The Cheeseburger bacon soup was a bit strange. The salad was fresh. My mother's meal had to be returned because the steak was cooked on the same pan as her scallops or so we think. They have 105 oz. steaks on the menu. The waitress was sort of rude. Excellent; couldn't have been any better! Arrived at 4:40 (10 minutes after opening). Enjoyed a drink at the bar while perusing the menu. Completely un-rushed, relaxed atmosphere all around. Wonderfully friendly service...I think the bartender was the owner, Laura. Once you're ready, a waitress is told, and you place your order with her at the bar. They let you know when your food is about to come up, and also tell you your table number so you can wander in unassisted. Again, a very laid back but totally organized process! Found our table in the comfortable, cozy dining room....lighting is very dim/romantic. Our waitress was incredibly on the ball. Never had to ask for ANYTHING. She was there just enough to check on us, but actually seemed to anticipate our needs before we had to ask. Friendly, efficient service! And finally, the food! Soooo delicious! We ordered the tenderloin Oscar and the 17 oz prime rib. Meals came with our choice of potato; our choice of soup, a salad, warm bread....all wonderful and perfectly prepared. A true gem in the middle of nowhere. Huge portions and great history. Steaks are always perfect. Where else can you find a 106 oz Prime Rib? They call it 'The Monster' and it will blow your mind. Don't forget about the burger the size of a pizza, either. The perch is some of the best in the state. Worth finding. read more
