I just wanted a pink hair extension put in and apparently had to make a pre-screening appointment for this first, rather than just put an extension in. I made my pre-screening appointment and had to wait 27 minutes until I was seen. The appointment took less than 5 minutes and I was told that they would have to special order it and would hopefully get the extension in by Tuesday. I reiterated that I needed this for a special event on Wednesday. The salon stylist told me that they would call me on Monday to get this ordered, delivered and set up. Needless to say, I never received follow up on this and had to scramble to get it done elsewhere. Frustrated to have wasted so much time, have to have a "pre-screening" waste of an appointment, and have no product at the end. Poor customer service experience for a first time visit. I'll never go back.

She took her time and was willing to modify when I noticed I wanted it shorter. She was knowledgeable about fine hair, the products and different things likely impacting my hair. I appreciated this. The atmosphere of the salon was sort of bustling, many bodies moving about, a lot of chatter and noise. This isn't unexpected nor was it a bad thing but could be good to note if noise levels are hard for some people. The aesthetic of the salon was airy but chic. The cut took about an hour but we chatted for a good couple of minutes and the shampoo treatment was about 5 minutes but to be in and out in an hours time seems pretty good to me. I also made an appointment, not sure if they take walk-ins but I'd call first. Anyway, CJ was amazing. After the cut, she gave my hair a blow out and it's never looked better. Because I live in a city that has harsh water, she gave me a few tips on which shampoos to purchase but she NEVER tried to sell me shampoo or any products from the salon, she simply gave me suggestions and tips so I could make my own decision and purchases.
