Overall, a great salon. My haircuts are great, the employees are easy to talk to, and it's always immaculately clean and beautiful inside... However, I will not be coming back to dye my hair. They do natural colors very well, but when I've asked (and dropped over $300) to go from natural blonde to platinum, I've been disappointed both times with two different stylists. Specifically, the toner didn't gray out my hair at all. I asked it to be re-toned and it still didn't stick. I walked out with yellow hair that I've since grayed out with copious amounts of purple shampoo. I understand that platinum is a difficult color to achieve, but I would have appreciated transparency about that during our consultation. Or maybe even acknowledge that the color I walked out with was not what I asked for. I will be trying other salons to see if I can find a similar/better result for a cheaper price. read more

I won't ever go anywhere else for my hair! This place is amazing and I absolutely recommend. Not only are they extremely friendly and great at what they do, they are the cleanest salon I've been to. I was particularly impressed with the extra safety measures they've put in place due to COVID-19. I got my hair trimmed from Lizette a couple months ago and it was horrible. She was considered a "new artist" at the time, but I expected her to at least know how to properly cut hair if she was already a graduate. I initially got my haircut by another artist who did an amazing job, but I needed a slight trim when I came to Lizette. I had warned her that my hair was tangled and needed to be brushed before she cuts it. She proceeded not to brush it well and went for the cut. She made it so uneven, cut more hair off than I wanted, and did not transition the hair smoothly. I am writing the review now because my hair is starting to grow but now looks even worse. Her professor tried fixing the issue, but it was too late at this point. My suggestion is to book an appointment with the master's instead!!! read more

I love this salon and have been before, but I had such a great experience with Marissa that I felt compelled to leave a glowingly satisfied review. The location itself is clean, well lit and very relaxing. Gabrielle is making my Christmas! Went here three times in the last week to have my hair done after a big break up and before Christmas. I made some confusing scheduling mistakes of my own error and the whole staff was very accommodating and helpful. I got right back in to fix up everything I wanted. Gabrielle, my stylist, in particular was amazing. She understood exactly what I wanted and added her own touches as the professional. I've never done hair dye before and I am so happy with the final product; she was careful not to make it too dramatic so that I wouldn't be upset by the change and was so accommodating when I wanted a little more drama. Her balayage technique is beautiful, light handed, and so natural looking. I will be back to see her many times in the future! read more

Went here yesterday for the first time and met with Corbin for a haircut. I won't lie but I have been avoiding getting a haircut for several months because the last person "ruined" my hair and made me very upset. So I finally decided I needed someone to tame my hair that I have been growing out and make it "beautiful" again. I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted to do and wanted someone new to take a fresh look at it. Corbin is definitely a more experienced stylist and I was impressed. I felt bad because I was tired and not feeling the greatest but she was very patient with me and nice. Not only did she listen to what I wanted but gave great insight on what I should do. We chopped off 6" off the bottom because the hair was starting to get damaged down there. I was impressed when we went to get my hair washed. They don't use the "typical" chairs and bowls to wash hair. I didn't feel any strain to my neck, which I have been concerned about because of an article I read. I left impressed by Corbin and would highly recommend her. Juut itself is very welcoming and you feel spoiled being there. You have a beverage bar to enjoy and a very spacious waiting area. Side note: I did use the bathroom and they had a heated toilet seat. It was nice. read more

I had a pedicure with Sarah and subsequently had a mishap which required a repair. I was able to get in at a time that was convenient and Sarah renewed the smudged nail quickly and with no additional charge. I can only say great things about Juut's customer service and Sarah's understanding. I am so pleased with my pedicure and will enjoy it for many weeks. read more

Careful when making appointments. I had an appointment set for a Friday. They sent me an email and a text stating this. Then I got a conflicting text stating a different time that would have been during the service I was already receiving. They advised that they attempted to call - got no confirmation that I received it. It took them about 15 minutes to figure it out. They offered a later cut. But, couldn't get me in for the treatment that I had originally scheduled for. Less than professional. No apology. Couldn't speak to a manager as they weren't in. I ended up going to Marc Daniel salon - same level of service, great demeanor and customer service and terrific service! Roseville Juut was less than helpful in this circumstances. read more

There are several Juut locations in the twin cities, I've been to a few of them but usually go to Roseville. Amy has been my hair stylist for years and she is a hair magician. I've never had a stylist that can work the magic that she does. You can't go wrong with Juut in general. I've had hair color, brow waxing, facials and massages and have never had a bad experience. They pride themselves on being daymakers and they sincerely do just that. It is a spendier salon but worth the relaxing experience and expert care you receive. They also use Aveda products which I love. I have recently started seeing Amanda, an esthetician at the Roseville location and she is fabulous. She has totally stepped up my eyebrow game. Bottom line: If you need some pampering and a guaranteed fabulous salon experience, go to Juut! read more

Despite having short hair, I don't go to a regular person even though A) I should and B) I need to, for maintenance. The majority of my hair cutting is on a whim and dependent on Price or Proxmity. It was no different this time, except both Jon Oulman and Moxie were closed and I was too lazy to wait 20 minutes for Aveda Inst. to pick up. So I found Juut and I've heard pretty decent things. I was able to score a same day appointment with a stylist who I had already creepily looked up the profile for on the Juut website. I showed up and I was offered a comfy seat and some Peace Coffee with soy milk. Though it was tepid and there was a bratty little girl screeching and running around, it was fine. I was met by Ann F., the stylist I had an appointment for and led to the stations which were pretty bare. The haircut came with a complimentery pressure point massage which was kind of awkward since it didn't really do anything, but the oil smelled nice. I pulled out the photo of the haircut I wanted, which was no different than what I had now, except it didn't look like a rabid squirrel had died on my head. Half an hour later I walked out with a cute hair cut but $45 + tip poorer. But bang and neck trims are complimentary, so I guess if I go twice for trims, then it averages to $15 bucks a visit which isn't too shabby. read more

I am updating this review because I had a terrific experience at Juut Roseville recently. Previous haircut with Kate H. was uneven and looked rushed - NOT worth $60! I was given the style I asked to NOT get,(even showed a picture). BUT I then had a haircut a couple weekends ago with Johanna and it was TERRIFIC! Johanna was so great - took extra time with me even though she was technically off work already. The cut is precise and exactly what I wanted for my bob. Top notch! Sometimes I get a little annoyed by the attempts at "total relaxation" and customer service at some hair and salon places, but I must say, the two times I've been to Juut I've been very very impressed. People are nice, overall low pressure, and their teas are pretty yummy. The five stars actually goes to Johanna, the stylist who has cut my hair twice. Not only is she the nicest and most professional stylist I have ever had, she did an extraordinary job cutting my difficult thick and wavy hair. She gave me many options, discussed in detail (like 10-15 minutes because I kept having questions) about what would look best.. and she really did a very nice job, narrating me along the way. She's a cutting specialist and does not do any color, and when she says she's passionate about haircuts, I believe her because she did an awesome job. She also gave me different options for styling and took extra time to show me how to do it on my own. Totally impressed with her, and highly highly highly recommend her. read more

I freakin' love Juut. The Aveda products and training, the pampering from the sec you walk in, the amazing coffee they served, the sweet flat beds to get your hair washed from, the great haircuts; it's all good. I had a gift certificate for a haircut and still spent $60 (those products were really calling my name). But after needing a haircut for quite awhile and wanting something a little sassy, it was just what the doctor ordered. After sitting in their neato lobby and drinking REALLY GREAT COFFEE, I got a great consult from my stylist, who seemed to figure out exactly what I wanted from my overly-excited gestures, grunts, and pointing at pictures. I got a great shoulder/scalp massage, then headed to the shampoo room, where I laid flat on this padded table (no neck scrunch!) and tried not to fall asleep. Then the cutting began and it was great. Lovely stylist lady didn't talk to much, which let me zone out and people-watch throughout the salon. My hair looked super-fab in the end, and I can still do it where it looks awesome. This is a pretty fancy salon/spa with prices to match. The employees are professional with excellent presentation, manners and customer service. When you come in, they give you a number for coat check. I was also offered coffee or infused water multiple times while I was here. I first had a brow wax. It was $22 which is a tad pricey but they had a super comfy table for me to lay on, low light, spa music and a lot of attention was paid to my brows to make sure I felt with a gorgeous set. My studio artist was quick with the tweezers and the wax was painless. I also had a partial color and cut by studio stylists. Both services were fantastic. My color was exactly what I asked for and she tried hard to get super close to my roots so that I wont have roots showing anytime soon. While waiting for my color to process I was seated in a waiting area with a lot of magazines to entertain me. My cut was equally as nice. My stylist was pleasant, quick and did a great job. I like how they have tables for you to lay on instead of those dreadful wash bowl chairs at many salons. All three services were $165 pre-tip. It's not cheap but at least you get what you pay for. Be sure to ask for prices upfront as each person has their own rate based on experience. Visiting from California and in a hair emergency. The front desk girl, I forgot her name went out of her way to help me. Offering a sample of blue conditioner, a consultation and found an appointment for me so I could feel good about the way I look while on holiday. Kathy came to the rescue. She listened carefully and did exactly what I asked for, and filled in the gaps when I wasn't quite sure. I left with excellent hair. I highly recommend Kathy for color she is incredibly personable, professional and nice. read more

I have been seeing Jenny for cuts and Brenna for colors for longer than any of us would care to admit. When you find something that works, you don't mess with it. I have thick, coarse hair that Jenny has worked wonders on. For a time we joked about the "Charity" which was a style Jenny perfected for me. Over the years, she's kept my style fresh, but always true to me. My hair grows FAST. Jenny's cuts grow out beautifully. I go in for cuts about half as often as I would have to if anyone was else cutting and styling me. My color was a blotchy mess when I first went to Brenna after years of home coloring. She fixed it. My brunette hair is my most striking feature and I get loads of compliments on my color -- it's all Brenna. Now it's time to start plan the transition from brunette to gray and I wouldn't even consider doing that with anyone but Brenna. Services from Master-level Daymakers are not cheap, and I admit I've winced at the bill a time or two, but the boost of confidence I get after each appointment and every compliment I get reminds me that I am spending my money wisely. After seeing my previous Salon on that show "Tabatha's Salon Takeover", I decided to turn to yelp for some advice on finding a new salon that wouldn't require tabatha's help. After many reviews read I decided on Juut and I've been going there ever since. The first time I came they gave me a very nice book about dream making and how the owners philosophy of paying forward and natural living inspired Juut. They use all aveda products and have that amazing aveda tea and stevia for the coffee. On the hair, my original stylist who cut my hair left but both her and my new gal have kept the split ends at bay. My new stylist Skyler did a wonderful job of styling my hair last time I got it cut and I was hot to trot on the town with my "housewives of oc" look. Caitlin who colors my hair does a wonderful job of hiding my grey hair with a chocolate brown base coat and then weaves in very subtle highlights that grow out very easy and blend very well, so I don't have to maintain them as often as some highlights. We did have a couple disagreements as I always come in wanting ombre hair, which she will never do for me because she doesn't want to bleach out all my hair. I try to fight her every time but she always wins and I go with a less damaging look. At first I was upset, but now my hair is the longest it's ever been and to the point where it's almost as long as my clip in extensions, that I no longer need to wear! She does know what she's doing because normally I would just fry all my hair off before it can grow, if left to my own devices . I'm happy to heed her advice now and keep my hair healthy and long. Do yourself a favor and book a 90 min massage with Josh. Yes, the treatment is expensive. But seriously worth every penny. Josh takes the time to find out what you are looking for and is so good, he figures out what else should be worked on. I love the scents to choose from and how Josh doesn't give a massage like all the other places. I have had a lot of massages and hands down, his massages are the best ever. After trying to save a little $$ by not having Balayage done at Juut but rather at another Aveda Salon... I ended up at Juut today for a fix on my hair that was done yesterday. It was not at all what I wanted at this other Aveda... the gloss didn't make it all the way through my hair and so the lighter color on my brunette head was white blonde streaks underneath. I saw Krystal today at Roseville, MN Juut and she fixed me right up. I left full satisfied and at checkout was given a referral discount for having to pay for my hair twice in two days... even though it was not their fault. That will teach me trying to go elsewhere! You get what you pay for. Juut is expensive, but I leave satisfied and loving my hair every time I see Meg for a cut and now Krystal for color! I would highly recommend them! read more

HUGE waste of money! If there was an option for less than one star, I would use it. Went to two Roseville "Masters" - colorist and stylist. Brought in a picture of a hairstyle on a woman whose face and hair type resembled mine. Pointed out two additional women in the salon with the length that I wanted. The whole deal cost me $190.00. That's right - one hundred and ninety dollars. For what, you may ask? Evidently to be made to look like a freakin' pumpkin head. My hair is now way too short and looks NOTHING like the style I asked for. It looks like a messy pixie shag that the stylist neglected to finish. As for the color, I spent money for a professional colorist - and yet, my hair now is ORANGE from the roots two inches out. It looks like crap - brassy and fake and does not even remotely blend with the hair growing out, which I requested. If these are the Masters of Juut - if this is the best Juut can do, you can bet I will never return. A total rip off! read more

This is my favorite salon in the Cities thus far. I am not one of those people that is obsessed with their hair (if you ever see me in person, you will know what I mean), but I do like a place that makes you feel welcome and relaxed. Everyone that works here is super friendly and always more than willing to help you select products/get you a cup of tea. I have had great cuts with Jenny here and also with Ann. I highly recommend both of them, depending on how experienced you want your stylist to be. I also have had brow waxes with nearly all their aestheticians and they're all total peaches. Girl's day! I came here with a few other women to de-stress. All three of us had a wonderful time. As we entered we were offered hot tea. We each had pedicures and took our sweet a$$ time in their massage chairs.
