Paid around a hundred dollars in take out and the food was gross and the portions were very small. I paid $19 for overcooked chicken and shrimp teriyaki and it came in a container WITH the rice. It was 90% rice and tasted really bad. Soup was bland and spring rolls were mostly fried wrapping - no spring... I ordered from Grubhub from this place, which is less than 10 minutes from my house. First thing I noticed was a $3.50 delivery fee, on a $15 order. WTH. I thought, ok fine, I don't have to tip then. Then the delivery guy looked at me weird and asked me for tip, which I replied, go talk to the restaurant about the $3.50 delivery fee. 20 minutes later the restaurant called to ask me about that, saying the delivery guy said I gave the restaurant $3 tip. I replied, why a $3.50 delivery fee if none of that money isn't going to the delivery guy? To which he replied that's the fee they are paying Grubhub. So, why pass that fee to customers at the expense of delivery people? The delivery guy didn't even seem to know this fee existed. The food was ok. I decided to give this restaurant a second chance after being disappointed the first time - it seems we both made the same mistakes twice. First, I asked for my General Tso's chicken extra spicy, and it was as if they made it extra mild out of spite. I couldn't find one single pepper in the order, not one. I thought there was some confusion - after all the dish is supposed to be spicy, and it's advertised as hot & spicy - but it happened again. It's just false advertising. Also, they do not send chopsticks with your order. I requested it the second time, and still they did not include them. It's pretty hilarious that there's a chinese restaurant that doesn't have chopsticks, but when the name of your chinese restaurant is "Chopsticks" and you don't even have chopsticks?? That's just embarrassing. Last, I ordered flat beef noodles and received vermicelli. This is not flat noodle, it's angelhair pasta! What gives!? And just to be fair, the food was less greasy than many other fast-food restaurants, it wasn't that bad. it's just a shame. read more

General Tso's which is one of the major benchmarks was a solid 3 and the fried rice was a greasy awesome 4 star dish. The food is fairly good, the prices are very reasonable. They could work on keeping the restaurant cleaner, as it always looks dirty. I took my 4 year old nephew to the restroom, and an older man who works there came out of the bathroom after smoking in there. When we came out of the bathroom, we both smelled of cigarette smoke. At first I was pretty hesitant about doing that tonight because I was soooo hungry and I didn't want to waste any time studying a new menu... but so I did. It's been a real struggle looking for decent Chinese take out because I grew up on New York Chinatown food. First, Chopsticks earned their first star because they were indeed fast. Did I mention I was hungry? Okay, they got 2 stars for that. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. They forgot the "free" egg roll, that enticed me to ordering from them in the first place. It was a coupon I was able to select and put in my cart. Being Chinese, not getting your free egg roll because you spent over $15 is a big deal! Then I saw the food and all of a sudden I got less hungry. The sliced beef was pale and dry, and the valuable container real estate was filled with the dreaded "water chestnuts." The noodles was tasteless and there was no sauce with my dumplings. It's always about the dumpling sauce... Then all of a sudden I felt really guilty for cheating on my old Chinese take out restaurant.
