Good food and a good value. We have been going to this restaurant since it was in Kearny Mesa.

Sushi night! We are trying a local spot that is new to us tonight since it was close by and I came along this spot which was very close by and had a variety of menu items that looked great. We ended up going with just sushi this night because that's what I was craving before I noticed that they have a wide variety of menu items as well as sushi. We of course over ordered with 4 different rolls as well as a miso soup and edamame and everything was so good and super fresh! We got a variety of rolls but the red caterpillar roll was my favorite of the ones we got. This will become a go to spot for us for sure and ordering to go was very easy but I hope to come in and dine soon!

First time trying this restaurant so we ordered to go for Friday night's dinner. Parking gets chaotic in this site since H-Mart and other restaurants are there. We pre-ordered tofu appetizers, Chicken Katsudon and Ramen. Food was pretty good and my husband really liked the ramen. The Chicken Katsudon came with salad and was flavorful but wished it was more crispy. Maybe the sauce made it soggy but again it was still good, especially the scrambled egg and sauce. The serving was huge and I ate the dish for 2 days. The tofu was also delicious but didn't come with a dipping sauce so I had to use the salad dressing to dip the tofu in. Will most likely return in a couple of months.

This place has such an awesome lunch special. They have curry bowls, chicken bowls, beef bulgogi bowls, salmon bowls all for 10$-12$. It looks small, but trust me, they're huge portions. I got the curry bowl. Its one of the better Japanese curry I've had. The inside is very tiny but its well kept and clean. Its decorative and cute. My server was friendly and the food came out fast! I was in and out of the place just like that! My husband and I spent 25m in there and made it just in time for work! I will definitely come again

Decided to try them again since my first visit was near their opening. The ika katsu curry was really good and was served piping hot. The wontons were served cold just like the Korean fried chicken was served the first time I went. Not sure why the appetizers are coming out cold. Next time,I'll skip the appetizers. Service was friendly.

I've been going to the original Chopstix off Convoy for over 20 years. Love this place! They are reasonably priced and good portions. I am so happy this one opened up in Miramesa. Came to the one in MM for a to go order. Ordered the mixed tempura and 2 rolls (Pink and Samurai). The mixed tempura was very good.. the batter was light and not oily at all. Both of the rolls were a good size and fresh.

Chopstix 2 is an off shoot of the OG location in the Convoy District. They replaced another longtime sushi eatery in this plaza anchored by H Mart. Because of the large number of neighboring businesses and the fact that I visited during peak dinner hours, I had to circle the plaza lot twice before I was able to find an open parking space. The inside of the suite was rather compact, yet it could seat about 40 customers. The dining area was about 3/4 full when I arrived. The multi-page menu booklet featured Japanese comfort food with dry and wet style noodles, rice bowls, and sushi rolls as some of the categories. From the list of special sushi rolls, I began my meal with an Ex-Girlfriend Roll which was rice-less. Imitation crab, avocado, and spicy tuna were the inside ingredients of the roll that was topped with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and soy mustard sauce. It tasted rather sweet, however it only came as five pieces when I had expected at least six. The other item I selected was the Curry Rice with Chicken Katsu as a protein (+$4). This dish was beef-flavored Japanese curry served with white rice, miso soup, and a small salad. There were four pieces of deep-fried breaded chicken placed next to the rice on the plate. The chicken was reasonably crispy while the brown curry was mildly spicy. It was a hearty entree that would have been even better on a cold evening which it was not. The service and the check-out process were both efficient. For the price and quantity of my food, I gave a four star rating for my dining experience at Chopstix 2 in Mira Mesa.

Came for their soft opening in the H Mart plaza. There was quite a wait but we were seated in a reasonable time. The inside is very small but the restaurant is meant to be cozy. The food was ok, I didn't think it was anything special. Would be good for a quick family meal.

Welcome to Mira Mesa! The restaurant is located in the H Mart shopping complex between H Mart and In N Out so depending what time of the day you come, could be a busy area to park. Ambiance was casual, servers were bustling but friendly. They have a good selection on their menu with a lot of variety - choose your own Soup, noodles, salad, sushi. We ordered the Salmon Bento Box and Korean Shortribs Bento Box. Delicious and hit the spot. The salmon size was a little on the small side but the Bento box also comes with rice, miso soup, salad and tempura so overall that combination was filling. We also ordered the Awesome roll which consists of shrimp tempura, imitation crab, and avocado topped with salmon, eel sauce and baked and it sure lived to its name! I must have been super hungry as I also kept eyeing our neighbours order which looked so delicious - Big plate of yummy Stir fried noodles, and a big bowl of seafood called Champon. Looked so good so on my list next when I return. :)

Pretty good! They have a good selection of Japanese food and they have some Korean food like tofu soup and a bulgogi sushi. We were seated quickly and the staff were friendly and checked in on us often. We ended up getting the curry and mado/mapo with tonkatsu and the sisters choice roll. The serving size seems pretty big on the curry dish. The sisters roll is like an upgraded lemon roll with the inside being spicy tuna and cumber with the top being tuna, lemon( and jalapeño pieces. There was also helllaaa cilantro that I didn't know came with it, so I'd keep that in mind if you don't like cilantro lol. Price is standard, the curry was $19ish with the tonkatsu and the roll was $14ish. Overall, would come back again!

My Best Friend For Life (BFFL) has eaten at Chopstix 2 twice with her youngest sister and family and with one of her girlfriends. Our Baby Girl surprised us with a weekend visit, so we wanted to celebrate this blessing by taking her out to lunch followed by a movie. When my BFFL asked our daughter what she wanted to eat, she craved a bento box, so my baby girl and I were visiting Chopstix 2 for our very first time and my wifey was visiting for her third time. I highly recommend their bento box for a fresh tasting, filling, and satisfying meal. Chopstix is a cute, classy spot that serves scrumptious fast casual grub. Chopstix 2 is located in Mira Mesa specifically on Mira Mesa Blvd. in the H Mart outdoor shopping center. This shopping center is jam packed on the weekend, so parking might be tough close to the restaurant, but there is plenty of parking. Besides H Mart, this center has In n Out, Applebee's, Daiso, El Patron, and Chopstix is next to Yin Tang Spicy Hot Pot. Once you step inside, you'll be greeted by a cute mural of artist rendered fish, a cubby hole bookcase housing succulents, and colorful mounted pics of flowers. Management makes good use of its space with booth and table seating. The distressed walls, decorative lighting, and color scheme made for a classy appearance. The waitresses provided good customer service. Chopstix 2 specializes in Japanese food, so if you're a fan of miso soup, bento boxes, and sushi, I believe you'll enjoy their menu. When I asked our waitress what she would recommend from the menu that serves plenty of food, she said the bento boxes. Take it from this foodie, definitely order a bento box. For my bento box, I ordered the chicken katsu bento box with the katsu being breaded, deep-fried, and it's served with tonkatsu sauce. The bento boxes are served with miso soup, salad, tempura, 4 pieces of California Roll sushi, and white rice. Everything in that box was fresh, tasty, and satisfying. The chicken katsu was cooked perfectly and ate well with the rice after dipping it in the accompanying sauce. For our appetizers, we ordered the gyoza and the crispy rice. The gyoza came out what seemed like straight from the deep fryer and it was a delish starter before our entrees. The crispy rice was really tasty with it being topped with spicy tuna, avocado, eel sauce, and spicy mayo. We each had one, but I could have had another. Now I understand why my BFFL spoke glowingly about Chopstix 2 because now I'm a fan. If you're looking for a Japanese fast casual restaurant that serves yummy and fresh tasting food, has a cute vibe, and has good customer service, definitely give them a try.

Amazing service and delicious food. Wonderful location. I was sad when ChopStix 2 closed. I thought we lost ChopStix 2 and happy to see that they found a new home. Menu is diverse and has been updated with new features. Love it!!! Well decorated with many tables. Parking lot gets full quickly.

Super excited that we have a Chopstix 2 in Mira Mesa. Love their vegetable tempura udon, and service is very friendly, restaurant is clean and there's plenty of parking in the parking lot. Check out their lunch specials!

The service has been insultingly, rude; we had a talk with our server and even pass along a compliment, it was shocked with how unkindly they responded. Every single item of the menu has been absolutely terrible; the sushi was a quarter of the size it usually is and tastes terrible, the edamame is cold and feels like it was scraped off the floor, and the karaage chicken is now covered in a glaze that is making our stomachs absolutely sick. And the food is even more expensive than it was before! I absolutely do not want to pay for any of this and it makes me sick to my stomach to have wasted our time here this evening.

It is absolutely fantastically amazing. Maybe that's too much use of describing words, but I could actually say more. Paitan broth is a very interesting broth. It is a rich, creamy, and opaque Japanese soup base, most commonly made from chicken (tori paitan). I understand that the preparation takes a lot of time with painstaking patience to create and ultimately serve this particular broth. Marufuku does it right! The Ramen noodles that they use and the toppings that they add just enhance the already amazing taste, and depth of the soup itself. I also like that you can choose your spice level and they also have options to add other additions to truly make this your own Ramen experience. They have other dining choices as well, such as the chicken Katsu Bento, which stands very highly on its own, and I would order that again. Crisp and flavorful chicken, fried to perfection served along with rice, vegetables, and gyoza, even a little corn on the cob, so cute! The service has been excellent with each visit and the staff even spent a little time chatting with us, which was very nice. I also love that this location is within the beautiful setting of the Skydeck. They have their own special, unique ambience, architecture, and lighting to make this just an exemplary experience. When we visited San Diego back in 2016, we ate at Underbelly twice because it was just that good. Returning this trip felt a little like revisiting an old friend. And I'm happy to report... it was every bit as awesome as we remembered! The best part? The staff affectionately called us "O.G.'s" when they heard we had been longtime fans, which immediately made us feel welcome & set the tone for a fun dining experience. We started with the kimchi because some traditions simply should not be broken. Tangy, punchy, spicy & full of flavor, it was the perfect opening act before the ramen arrived. I opted for the Tonkotsu Ramen: rich tonkotsu broth, soft boiled egg & chashu pork. The broth was deeply savory & comforting, the pork tender & flavorful, that perfectly soft egg tied everything together beautifully. It was exactly what ramen dreams are made of. Hubby went with the Underbelly Ramen, extra spicy: tonkotsu broth, soft boiled egg, chashu belly & adobo pulled pork. The extra spice brought serious heat & he was thrilled with every fiery bite! There is something incredibly satisfying about returning to a restaurant years later & finding that the magic is still there. Underbelly delivered the same bold flavors, cozy ramen comfort & cool Little Italy energy that made us fall in love with it the first time around. Not every restaurant earns a repeat visit nearly a decade later & even fewer live up to the memory. Underbelly absolutely did. We will be O.G.'s forever! NOM NOM NOM #YUM
