When I called, I was assured that I would receive a 20% discount on my next order and that my name would be added to their records. Six weeks later, when I returned, I was informed that the list had been deleted. Only after a lengthy discussion was the promised discount honored. This is my second visit to 369 Ramen and Chinese Cuisine. The restaurant is casual and comfortable The staff is awesome, friendly and very helpful. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced with large portions. I've had their poke bowls and items off of their menu. Haven't had a bad dish yet. Be advised, starting March 23rd they will be opening at 11:00 am instead of 10:30 am. I ordered the Chicken with vegetables. The dish was fresh and full of flavor. Our party also ordered the Beef with vegetables. The beef was tender and the veggies cooked perfectly. I'm going to order that dish on my next visit. If you're in Poway, check this place out. Before we did our errand, I asked what the wifey wanted to eat and she said ramen. I told her I'd find a ramen restaurant close to Wal Mart and 369 Ramen immediately popped up. Blessed that we dined here for the first time because 369 Ramen is all about value for your money, it has a variety of food choices to choose from, the food we grubbed on was satisfyingly delicious, and our server Zoren provided outstanding customer service. 369 is located in the middle of Poway specifically on the corner of Pomerado and Poway Road. If you're familiar with the now shuttered Joanne's Fabrics, Smart & Final, and Dollar Tree shopping Center, then you'll easily find 369. The restaurant is to the left of Dollar Tree as you're facing the discount retailer, it's across the street from North Park Produce, CVS, and Chase Bank. There is plenty of parking in this shopping center with parking directly in front of 369. From the outside, the restaurant looks small, but as you enter, it's surprisingly spacious. It's table side service with approximately ten tables and chair settings. There's a large painted mural on one wall depicting a sakura tree aka a cherry blossom. The flooring is distressed laminate, there are cylindrical and floral light fixtures, and one television that was turned off. Our server Zoren was friendly, attentive, answered our questions, and just seemed like a good dude. The large lettering above the restaurant storefront advertises it as 369 Ramen, but not only do they serve ramen, they also serve fresh poke and Chinese food. Love the variety here because if you're not in the mood for ramen, you can choose from different types of cuisines. My Pahtner ordered the Garlic Bomb Ramen, which comes with green onion, bamboo, chashu, deep fried onion, deep fried garlic, fresh garlic, and fishcake. For an extra charge, she added a flavored boiled egg. 369 is al about value for your money because my wife's ramen bowl was huge. I ate her leftovers and first sip of that garlicky broth was divine. Not feeling ramen, I ordered a Hawaiian Poke Bowl, but instead of a bowl, the poke came in a large, clear plastic container. I decided on the medium "bowl", which comes with 3 generous scoops of protein, a choice of your base, sides, sauce, and toppings. Feel free to copy my poke bowl where I chose white rice, cucumber, red onion, jalapeño, crab meat, avocado, spicy shrimp, tuna, spicy salmon, spicy House sauce, spicy mayo, fried onion, pickled radish, green onion, edamame, Furikake, and corn. This was a heaping amount of food and it was as delicious in my mouth as it looked. We had ordered their House Salt Pepper Chicken Wings as an appetizer, but the amount of food we got from our two entrees filled us up, so we took most of our appetizer home. Order their salt pepper chicken wings because they're tasty, they're big chicken wings, and I really enjoyed the crunchy coating. I primarily chose 369 Ramen because my Best Friend was craving ramen, I wanted to dine at a new restaurant, and it was close to the store we were doing errands at. Tonight on tuesday 10/14, we ordered two ramens and an appetizer at 6 pm before a busy rush. The guy told us that it would be around 15 minutes for our order. We checked on the order after 20 minutes and they told us it would be another 5-10 minutes. We waited for another 40 minutes to where we checked on our order again and they said it would be a final 5 minutes to prep to where we got some sass from a female employee with no name tag. We also had chicken karage (which I wasn't crazy about - probably just my personal taste since I don't eat a lot of fried foods) gave us enough to complete the meal. Today we were very disappointed with our order. A young man (looked like a new employee, Asian appearance) prepared our poke bowl and gave us an extremely small portion -- much smaller than usual. We order the same thing here often and always received generous portions before. But today, the bowl was filled with lots of onions on top of the rice, and everything else was just symbolic: 3 small pieces of pineapple, a tiny spoon of crab salad, and one fork of seaweed salad. For comparison: just a couple of days ago, a young woman served us a full, generous portion, and we even recommended your place to our friends. Now I will have to tell them I was wrong so they don't get disappointed like we did. The photo shows clearly: only 2 spoons of crab salad, and one of them was an extra topping that I paid for separately. I would like the owner to explain why the portions have become so small and why the staff serve food this way. When my coworker told me the best Poké in the area was from a ramen/chinese restaurant, I was skeptical, but after trying a few other places in the area, I finally did take her advice and made my way to 369 Ramen.... And wow! Not only is it the best I've yet found in the area, it's the best I've had here in the mainland (second only to my experiences in hawaii). Things that set it apart: - a great variety of fresh fresh fish - beyond your usual suspects. My favorites are the scallops and yellowtail so far, although there's a squid salad I've been eyeballing but have not yet been brave enough to try. - great variety of toppings included in the price - we are talking masago, crab, and avocado - they don't count as one of your proteins and there is no up charge unless you get a second scoop. - generous portions: a large is lunch + dinner for me. - gluten free options and diligence: they were absolute rockstars about my husband's wheat allergy and guided us through his options without a single eyeroll. The amazing server even brought his order back to the chef to double check it and came back to let us know one of the sauces he'd ordered had soy sauce in it and offered him safe alternatives. Anyone who's got celiac will know that servers rarely care to this level and that her excellence saved him weeks of sickness. There are very few restaurants we feel comfortable for him to eat at, and 369 Ramen is now locked in. The few times I've gone in for takeout and with just my husband, service has been fast and impeccable. If you're coming with a large group all ordering poke, be mindful that your orders will likely come out staggered as they can only make two at a time - this was our experience when we came with 6 ppl at lunch, but the food was so good no one had any complaints. I've also tried their ramen, just the once on my first visit, and it too was quite delicious. My and my girl settled on this restaurant after a bit of a debate. And we both regrets our life choice in this case. It was busy with folks ordering takeout when we arrived so it took awhile to get someone's attention to visit our table to order. We both ordered the Chasu Ramen. My lady added corn and an egg to her order. We got an order of karaage as well. - Chasu Ramen: As a fan of ramen, the noodles are subpar but still edible. Definitely not freshly made. The slices of chasu contain a bit too much fat than I'm used to. My girl didn't even finish her chasu coz the fat was just too much. It was almost like a 50/50 ratio of fat to meat per slice! - Chicken Karaage: I appreciate that the oil used left the results with a cleaner finish than left little oil, but the flavor of anything traditionally karaage was also not present as well. My girl didn't even want to take the leftovers home. Overall, this place will do if you're desperate for ramen in the Poway area. But thankfully there are better soup choices available. read more

I haven't been going to Poway often...so when an opportunity presented itself I took advantage of spending some time there. My friends and I decided to have dinner at this restaurant after a Black History Month presentation at the Poway Library. I used my trusted source, YELP, to find a nearby restaurant to get our grup on. We were first timers at this restaurant and looked forward to some delicious Chinese food. When we stepped in, we got thrown off by the sign "wait to be seated" but no host/hostess was around then realized we had to place our orders at the cashier-the prices were reasonable and not too long afterwards we received our meals at our table. I've been in a couple times now for their Poke bowls and have enjoyed them. The staff has been friendly and don't skimp on the proteins. There are slightly less protein options than poke-only places, but they have the usual salmon, tuna, spicy tuna and shrimp. Same goes for the topping. Side note, the ginger tasted fresh and didn't have the fake coloring, which is a plus for me. Prices are slightly cheaper than other options. I've only order to-go, but there's a decent amount of seating inside for what would be consider a "fast food" joint. Given the area there's no outside seating, and since it's in a busy parking lot, you probably wouldn't want to either.
