I've been coming here for years. There was a period where the quality has changed. But in the recent year it's become pretty decent again. Sour: The service can be pretty slow even when the restaurant is not that busy. At times it seems there's only one server covering the restaurant. Sweet: The bento options for lunch is one of my favorites. Prices have definitely sky rocketed but it comes with a lot of food. The sushi specials are decently priced. Plenty of sushi options to select from. Decent local sushi option to check out especially for lunch.

had a wonderful casual weeknight dinner here! I loveddddd The furikake fries, nigiri selection, and crispy rice with spicy tuna super kind and attentive staff too!

With the amazing deals, I truthfully come here once a month with my family! I am telling you all, the prices are worth! Some rolls being so cheap where you feel inclined to purchase two just because of how cheap it is! Do not get me wrong though, the food quality still hits! There are around 4 sushi chefs and some in the back. The service time is quick and you can tell that there is a good system from a business side. The sauce ratio is nice and the cuts of the rolls are huge, with lots of seafood; worth it! You can come for a date night, business night, family day, or even to watch sports in the TV screens!

Family dinner at Boto Sushi and this one hit the spot. My youngest kid chose went with what's familiar--the California Roll--simple. But the real standout was the specialty roll (looks like their Baked Salmon Roll / Salmon Lover-style roll)--torched salmon over avocado with a slight smoky finish. That one had flavor and felt like the "order this again" roll. I went with the Beef Bolgogi--came out sizzling with onions, rice, salad, and miso soup. flavorful and good portion. If you're coming in hungry, this is the move. Service was smooth, food came out at a steady pace (important when you've got the whole family with you), and everything felt organized. Dessert sealed it--looked like a matcha tiramisu-style cake with whipped cream and strawberry drizzle. Light, not overly sweet, and a nice way to end the meal. Overall, solid spot where you can bring the family, order a mix of rolls and hot plates, and leave satisfied.

Solid experience overall The fish was very fresh and the sashimi portions were quite generous. The quality of the rolls and the ramen (savory, rich, surprisingly complex flavors) were quite good as well. Only oddities were the addition of a somewhat chewy octopus in the sashimi combo which was not very good, and shishito peppers which were altogether too salty (although our waiter was very kind and replaced it for us free of charge) Only complaints are the misleading marketing (advertised as 50% off, but all the menus are printed with the "sale" price which makes you think it's just a marketing ploy), and even despite that it was still on the pricier side. Despite the bottom line, the food and service were still good enough that I would come back again!

Large Japanese style restaurant with a large menu selection. Has an everything from ramen to entrees to sushi and dumplings. It's not very fancy but it is filling. The maki rolls are really large and a good value. I did like the eel quite a bit. The service is very good. Super fast to order and get your food. Perfect if you want to dine in and rush to something. Lot of people here on a work break. It's fairly quiet.

The quality of the fish has gone down a little, but to make up for it, the price is also more affordable. All of the rolls and sushi are 50% off. Other items on the menu have also slightly decreased in price. When I see sushi 50% off, that automatically raises a red flag: Why? Is it because it's not fresh and they want to get rid off it? Our server explained that they buy fish in large quantities so they don't run out, and since they can't keep fish, it's better to sell it all. If they lowered their price, then they hope to bring in more customers to sell all of the fish. Apparently, they updated their menus in August 2025 to reflect the new lowered price. I didn't care for the salmon belly. It didn't taste fresh to me and it was chewy in texture. Salmon belly should have a soft buttery texture so I'm not sure why it was chewy. Personally, I would rather pay more for high quality fish. It's cheap for a reason.

Went here for lunch and it was okay. Ordered the bulgogi fries, 3 sushi rolls and spicy cucumbers. The fries were crispy but I wish the toppings were mixed in more with the fries. The sushi rolls were okay, I was expecting the shishito salmon roll to have pizzazz but it wasn't my favorite. I preferred the Hawaiian or lost at sea. The cucumbers were fresh and crispy, I enjoyed the sauce on top. The service was a bit slow but the people were really nice. Lots of seating inside to choose from. They have a large selection of items to choose from but nothing really called out to me.

Swan is a great addition to an already awesome Team go see my familia at Boto mucho mejor! Sushi, warmth and saki what's else is there? Christmas is happening, the tree and decorations are amazing.

I tried @botosushicarmelmountain for the first time, and it did not disappoint. Everything I ordered was delicious--from the sushi to the chicken teriyaki and the fries to the gyoza. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the cozy atmosphere and interior made the experience even better. They have everyday %50 of the menu deal on their amazing delicious sushi rolls, you definitely need to try that

Happy Hour fo sho!!! We've eaten here many times and not ever an issue! It's a local spot in Carmel Mountain. Definitely on our "GO TO" list. Chill lil place with a good size dining area. Huge variety of dishes, service is always spot on and easy access for parking. Off the 15 and Carmel Mountain in the Ralph's shopping center. Walk in and never need a reservation. The beer is cold and the saki is never ending.

Good sushi for the price. Went home with a full belly. Sad they didn't have a salmon skin hand roll but the cut roll was a good alternative! The skin came out nice and crispy! The menu is pretty big and there's photos for each roll. Service was good. Lots of indoor seating as well. Came on a Saturday for dinner waited 5 mins and were seated! We will be back to try other rolls!!

Ice ordered takeout twice now. One for chicken katsu and another with actual sushi. Their rice is seasoned reasonably. I got a chef's choice bowl, my favorite thing was the scallops. I was confused by how sweet the tamago was but felt it paired well with the rice anyhow.

Everything we tried was delicious. The YTS sashimi plate was amazing; the fish tasted fresh like the ocean. I don't usually like raw salmon but it tasted fresh and the texture was buttery. The soft shell crab was tasty. The steamed gyoza was a bit bland but still good. We ordered the tuna lover, lemon roll, and another roll with shrimp tempura and fresh water eel on top. All the rolls were very tasty. The Lemon roll and tuna lover roll were my favorite. It was on the pricier side but the quality of fish was good in my opinion. I would absolutely recommend this place and if I'm ever in the area again I'd definitely stop by.

There's a lot of businesses around this area so I can see Sushi Kami being a popular spot for a go-to lunch outside of work. We came for dinner and got seated right away and it wasn't too busy at all. It was nice but still casual at the same time if that makes sense. I will say the parking was a little tight and we had to make a bit of an awkward U-turn to get to the restaurant but the lot wasn't that full so it wasn't too bad but I could see this being trickier in the daytime. I really enjoyed both the spicy tuna and salmon. I've had a lot of weird spicy tuna but this one hit just right. It's always hard to find that perfect balance between fish and spice but I really enjoyed this one. The salmon was good too. The standout was definitely the tempura we got as well. It was large and came out hot and crispy and perfect. This is the type of sushi restaurant I could take people to who don't necessarily like sushi all that much. There's lots of options on the menu including bulgogi (next time I shall try!) and really good combos for people to enjoy. Ambiance is chill but still has that fun sushi vibe with the displays of fish (and I even saw some creative fish decorating on the walls which I thought was a nice touch) Service was nice and they always refilled our waters without us having to ask. I enjoyed the food and the vibe! Would definitely come back to try more ...and brings others along too!
