I came in tonight to grab salads for myself and my roommate, there was no customers in the lobby whatsoever, there were five staff members and they were more interested in talking about the time clock policy right in front of me. (Approximately five minutes). Three of them made eye contact with me but didn't even acknowledge me or say hello they just went back to what they were doing as I stood at the glass waiting. One of them finally spoke up and said how can I help you. That person seem to be finally feeling a little bit guilty about talking about internal problems right in front of the customer, and seem to have only responded to me because at that .6 other groups came in behind me and the line became long. I have no problems being patient waiting but when you're just standing there having internal I think it's unacceptable. I thought I stole this young ladies cookie told her it's my first time here need some help ordering and she was so nasty unapologetically displayinggross behavior as if I'm bothering her. Given the prices, it might just be cheaper to have them shred dollars bills instead of using organically grown kale. That's my big gripe. That and the ambiance has the soul of a downtown law office. It can be a healthy alternative if you don't go nuts on the toppings and the ingredients are high quality. I like the Chicken Ting grain bowl when I'm particularly hungry. I've always found the staff to be friendly and fast-moving. It's super clean which is a good sign when you're consuming a product that is occasionally infected with E. coli. I swear if I'm going to die from eating something it better be from a juicy, delicious bacon cheeseburger and not a mother flipping salad. read more

Fantastic option for a quick and healthy lunch! With a plethora of ingredients and marketable salads to choose from, the only challenge you'll face is narrowing it down. Lucky for you, there are caloric detailings under each that may help that process. (I know that's what helped me focus!) We arrived around 11:30am on a weekday and experience no line or wait. By the time we were done ordering, we turned around and there was a line of about 15 people, so just be mindful of peak lunch crowds. Seems as though the employees here have a good handle on managing the flow, but just something to consider if you're in a rush. Also, shout out to the employee that so patiently helped me to narrow down my salad dressing choices. He so willingly offered to give me samples of three of four different dressings to help me narrow it down! I've never been a fan of these salad joints, and there were always huge lines in lunch time in a Washington D.C. I am not sure if Richmond changes me, but I actually enjoy coming here and eating here. My favorite dish so far has been the Singapore Noodle bowl. I actually wish they wouldn't chop the noodles up, and I might request that next time. The location is super convenient and near a gym. Smart thinking to whoever chose this location to open this restaurant, kudos to you. Also, kudos to super efficient sometimes hyper focused staff for chopping quickly and efficiently. I was less than impressed with Chopt and makes me feel a little sad. Reviews look good, but I wasn't feeling it. It's a build your own style place- healthy options which I love.. but for the price it was "eh". I didn't find my lettuce to be good quality. It was a bit soggy. Not because of the dressing, but seemed old. I'll admit I grabbed a late lunch so it was around 1:45pm but I still expect fresh everything. I chose 4 add ins - that's the max before there's an up charge. Sweet potato- which wasn't sweet enough, green onions, feta, and another cheese. She mixed in the dressing. I think the balsamic there isn't my favorite so I'd try a different dressing when I try it there again. The lemonade was ok - you add your own sweetener. The first time I've ever enjoyed eating a salad! Chopt does a great job of making a salad edible (instead of attempting to shove big leafy greens into your mouth while getting it all over your face). Tried this place when I was in the area for an appointment and I'm in love. I've recently started really focusing on healthy eating and this is a great option. They have a huge variety of proteins and grains for your salad. I like how they combine everything and then someone chops (hence the name I'm assuming lol) it all up into a super easy to eat salad. I came here with a couple girlfriends before hanging out. I got the kebab Cobb and it was delicious. I made it into a wrap and it was even better. I wish there was a location in short pump because I definitely like this better than CAVA. The people here were friendly and accommodating. They ask how much you want of salad dressing instead of pouring a ton on your salad. You also get to decide how chopped you want your salad. To start, this is a review for TAKE OUT. A coworker ran out for lunch and picked us up some salads from here so I really am only working off of that experience. I had a really hard time choosing a salad looking at the menu online. They literally all sounded SO good. I decided on the Mexican Street Corn Corn Caesar with the suggested Cojita Herb Caesar dressing. My bowl arrived and I was a little confused. I honestly wondered if they gave me the right salad. It was all VERY chopped (pun intended). Nothing like the photo. Admittedly, this was disappointing for me! Once I dove into the salad though I was pleasantly surprised. It was really good. Fresh with good flavor. My quarrel is this... $10.99? My salad hardly had any chicken in it... and the corn was barely visible. As mentioned... I was wondering if they had given me the correct salad. All in all, the salad was fresh and met my expectations taste wise. I'm just not sure it warrants the price tag. But maybe I'm just cheap AF. EDIT- I wrote this before reading other reviews. Now I understand how much of a "chopping" process these salads go through before packaging them up. I really really like this place. Super impressed. Clean restaurant. Quick service. Awesome. So you go in and either pick a recipe or make your own. Then they take all the ingredients and chop them in front of you and mix them so well (one of the big positives, places like Cava, don't mix the food well, this place definitely does). They ask if the salad is chopped enough and if there is enough dressing which I definitely appreciate. I've done both (recipe, and make your own) and both times was very pleased. Lots of fresh local toppings to choose from and taste is wonderful. Price is definitely not cheap (that's where they lost a star) but every salad I've had has filled me up, which is rare. There was one time I went where I tried to order 3-4 salads and they were out of something that each of those salads had. That was disappointing but chalking it up to being new and busy. read more

I love Chopt salads. Its big enough for a meal. There's every ingredient you would want. Then they're tossed incorporating just the right amount of dressing. It's plenty to have for two meals, but I always end up eating the entire thing. I wish there was one in Huntersville/Cornelius area of NC. I'd be there all the time. read more

I was absolutely not prepared for the sheer number of choices that awaited me upon walking in. A tad overwhelmed, I ended up ordering two items that looked appealing and did not require too much thought - the Chinatown BBQ Chicken Salad and the California Steakhouse Salad (one for me and one for DH). I give the chicken salad a 2 stars and the steak salad 4 stars. Everything looked beautiful and I look forward to eating them upon my arrival home. DH liked the steakhouse salad very much. Good toppings and good flavor. As for the chicken salad, the ingredients were nice but the hot mustard salad that comes recommended is way too powerful and completely overwhelms everything. DH completely agrees and absolutely loves Chinese hot mustard. Next time, I will study the menu beforehand. If I do get that chicken salad again, it will be with a different dressing. read more

From the outside, it's a great looking place. From the inside, even better. Clean, fresh, good seating. I'm impressed by the building and decor. There are a lot of options here... for salads. I'm not a salad guy but I had the Vietnamese noodle salad bowl. It had turkey meatball, noodles, cucumbers, etc. The dressing was spicy which caught me a little by surprise. Overall, I liked it. I did not care for the meatballs. They taste more like chickpeas than anything else. I like how they create the salad in front of you. Seeing the process was a nice treat. Seeing the ingredients being mixed in, the chopping and presentation was cool. I agree with another post. It is pricey. I'd say $10-12 for a salad is a bit much... anywhere. Willow Lawn location. I need to eat more salads and I wanted to find a more exciting choice than I have in my kitchen. I was kind of confused when I first walked in because there are lots of options. So I sat down and looked at their menu and watched what other people got. The server in line gave me some pointers and was very kind and patient. I really felt that they wanted to make sure I had a good experience. I ended up getting the Cobb salad with arugula added because the romaine was surprisingly lacking green leaves. The buttermilk dressing that came with this was really outstanding. I think it's some of the best in town that I've eaten in the last several years. They sell it by the bottle. Get some. The rustic artisan style bread that I got with a salad was fabulous and went with it perfectly. Everything here is super fresh. The place is clean as a whistle. The customer service is outstanding. I eat here a few times a week and it's hard to beat. I'm living a somewhat Whole30 lifestyle (or at least trying) and they have a few sugar free dressing options that I tend to gravitate to. Lately I've been eating the AvoKeto Chicken Club salad with Mexican Goddess dressing and adding jalapeños. But I've basically had them all at one point or another. Bottom line. The predesigned salads are delicious and take the guessing game out of the decision process. They have fresh ingredients and Whole30/Keto/whatever your diet plan is, options. The salads are huge so you won't leave hungry. And the lines are fast. Sometimes long, but still fast. I drive from the west end for these every week. You should give it a try! read more

It was my first time here, and my last. As a new customer it would've been nice to have some help understanding the menu more. First, I was not asked if I wanted to have my salad for here or to go (mind you my boyfriend was asked by his server and his food was placed in a nice bowl). Anyway, as usual I was going to walk down the menu (top to bottom) when creating my own salad: base and then toppings. However my server completely mixed things up by only empathizing on the vegetables, grains, and base. so I was basically working my way from the menu in the middle, top, then bottom; and a lot of things I would've liked on my salad was missing because I did feel very rushed when there was no one in line. On top of that I could hardly understand what my server was saying because he did have thick accent (which isn't a issue but still) and the loud music. So I was also laughed at when I couldn't understand something. Salad is decent however, the portion size is decent. However I feel as if it is overpriced. Shame. read more
