But still a good place to buy produce and plants, with unique and plentiful offerings, some grown here like black, white, and red currants and rotating seasonal unique berries (tayberry, gooseberry, marionberries, etc), and the "normal" berries you expect, as well as several other produce items grown here and a decent selection of produce not grown here. Probably my favorite Puyallup farm market.

He asked me if I needed a bag and gave me my total, handed me the receipt, no "thank you" and I don't think he even made eye contact with me either. Still love to shop there, produce is excellent, other local products are great and they seem to always have new stuff, don't get me started on the beautiful plants just the customer service is lacking.

The reason I'm writing this review is because of an uncomfortable checkout experience. While we were waiting in line to weigh our strawberries, we noticed the staff member at the scale zeroing out the container for the customers ahead of us so they wouldn't be charged for the basket/box itself. She even explained it out loud, which we thought was considerate. However, when it was our turn, she did not zero out the scale. We didn't say anything at the time and assumed maybe it was an honest mistake. What felt disheartening was that immediately after we paid and stepped aside, she zeroed out the scale again for the customer right behind us. My friends, who are of Hispanic ancestry, felt very uncomfortable and singled out by the interaction. I don't want to accuse anyone of racism or say this was intentional, because I don't know that. But I do think it's worth sharing because these kinds of small differences in treatment can really affect how people feel in a space. Our overall experience was okay, but that checkout interaction left a bad impression.

Start off for saying that the produce is absolutely amazing at a really really good price. Once you head inside it's a treasure hunt. Sometimes they have what you need and sometimes they don't. I've seen other reviews on this we'll talk about expiration dates, which I think of as a suggestion. There's no way that a box of stuffing mix or other dried good is going to be expired by the time that that date rolls around. But if you're somebody who really pays attention to that you probably should look at the dates before you purchase, for me doesn't matter I'm buying getting a good deals and I'm very happy with this location
