Most impressive was what that rather than simply proceeding with a more expensive multi-part replacement, the technician did additional research, came back with a better solution, and was able to repair the existing board. That eliminated the need for one of the expensive replacement parts, got the freezer working in hours instead of days, and cut the repair cost. The freezer is now working exactly as it should. I feel like it is harder than ever to find service providers who are true professionals that would do right by the customer over taking an easy way to charge more. It takes much more effort (not to mention integrity) to keep working on the problem and find a less expensive solution for the customer. ED has been truly professional in this way multiple times now. At 3:52 PM, after receiving no call or update, I contacted Frigidaire because it had become clear that no one was going to show up. During that conversation, I was told Texas True Appliance Repair had called and texted me. The only communication I received was the original appointment confirmation text. There were no missed calls, voicemails, or additional messages. No service was performed, and my time was wasted waiting for an appointment that never occurred. I hope Electrolux and Frigidaire reevaluate their partnership with this service provider, as this experience fell well short of reasonable customer service expectations.

The water has to go somewhere and drains in back to evaporate. But after 10 years ice had built up in lower portion and thawed water had no where to go except onto kitchen floor. See photo of tech steam blasting ice inside lower compartment. He also removed back panel so I could once a year clean out drain myself and vacuum out the dust bunny clogged the air intake. Fix should last should a very long time with yearly maintenance. Tech explained they could also repair/fix all your kitchen appliances and washer/dryer. He also suggested tips to keep those appliances working long before calling them. Often they are called to repair what the homeowner had tried to fix himself. What I saw being done to our frig IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING and have the right tools. This company is on my speed dial list for appliance repair...if needed. I later found out the replacement parts were low-quality generic items anyone could order online for a fraction of the price. The communication was poor, the transparency was nonexistent, and the whole experience felt dishonest. If you're going to charge premium prices, at least use premium parts and provide professional service. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for fair pricing or trustworthy repairs. He determined it was an internal thermostat fuse that popped to prevent a fire. He waited for the part and replaced it in a subsequent visit. Fast forward a week, my dryer again has the same issue. They came out quick and we took preventative action (clean dryer drum and vent from laundry wall to external wall). Both my drum and vent conduit was relatively clean. So it looks like our control panel is faulty and would need to be replaced given its false positive for overheating. Instead of incurring additional part and labor costs which would have amounted to half of a new dryer anyway, I elected to replace. So although our dryer didn't work or get resolved, Shane was thorough and polite and engaged my husband and me on what was going on and steps forward. I'm glad to hear that Doc Danielson hires veterans and had a great technician who wanted the best outcome for the customer even if the appliance wasn't worth saving.
