An amazing presentation with fresh wasabi which is so much stronger than the regular wasabi you usually get. I enjoyed every piece of this boat. Fish felt and tasted fresh. "How are we doing so far here?" I glanced over the menu and saw a plentiful amount of sushi rolls and nigiris...but I lately I've been enjoying handrolls...On their menu there was not an option for handrolls so I asked a kind, attentive server about it and they said "just mark HR next to the one you'd like". So I ordered 3 spicy tuna handrolls and miso soup for the first round. I did not wait too long for my food to arrive. The quality of the food was delightful and fresh. I really enjoyed the "How are we here?" sushi rice; it had a nice vinegary taste to it. Besides the sushi hand rolls I also ordered some specialty rolls which I unfortunately do not remember the name of...but it was delicious. The miso soup was pretty standard for its taste, nothing too special. While eating I did notice that the service was odd...but I was not annoyed by it...Some servers would stop by my table to check up on me frequently and ask "How are we doing so far?" Maybe they had a complaint about their service l? Who knows? This kind of service was quite funny to me but I still enjoyed my food. Service was slow even with being one of 3 tables in there, we had to wait a while to put our first order in, and flag someone down to get our bill even with multiple servers standing around chatting. As many reviewers mentioned they changed their rice I went in with an open mind however as many mentioned the rice completely changes the flavor of the sushi. The black/purple rice is not optional and it's not as sticky as their previous rice and has hard pieces in it. This was my go-to spot but I am not sure that I will back soon with the changes made.

Literal poop in the toilet and on the wall. On a side note, I don't know if the A/C was out, or if they always have fans going and no A/C. We were there in mid July with 115 outside and they only had multiple cooling fans blowing inside the restaurant. This was our first time trying Hon Machi, we will not be back.
