Hi 5 sushi was a great find for sushi in Arizona! The restaurant was clean and service was friendly. The fish was good quality and the rolls were tasty! And if you're not a sushi eater - or if you love fried rice like we do - the garlic friend rice was BOMB!

The location is easy and clean. Sushi was good but nothing to rave about. I wouldn't really go back based on the sushi alone. The menu was limited. They have all the same ingredients but reordered with different roll names. However the calamari was great! Service was attractive and helpful.

Scallops so good you won't want to share because it's that good...sometimes it's ok to be SHELLFISH!

Hi 5 Sushi is the only place in AZ we eat sushi. Moving from a beach state to a landlocked state has been the hardest to find good sushi. Everything is so fresh, flavorful, and handmade deliciousness. To top it off every plate looks much too pretty to eat but definitely a special treat in each bite. The service is welcoming and quick while the ambiance very family friendly. We always leave Hi 5 sushi with full bellies and smiles on our faces. O'FISHally our favorite sushi spot in AZ!

My sister and I have been wanting to go here for a while because their menu has always intrigued us with the amount of roll options. We finally got to go try for lunch and it did not disappoint from what we expected ! The inside isn't huge , but there was plenty of seating available for lunch. The server was nice and attentive, and we knew she was the only one, and we still got good service! It's a nice casual spot. We ordered the sahara rainbow roll (with sauce on the side), baked scallop roll, 2 spicy tuna hand rolls , yellowtail nightmare, and for our ending we always get a fried roll and we got the jackpot roll. All of them were amazing!! The size of the rolls were generous, fish tasted good, and just overall great flavor combination. The baked scallop roll is one roll we have tried many places, and it tasted just as amazing as our other favorite place that makes it. And the jackpot roll was a perfect ending to all of it! Highly recommend trying this roll! The yellowtail nightmare had incredible flavors that all worked perfectly together. So excited we finally went and tried this place and now I can't wait to go back to try more items on the menu !

This place has the best sushi I have ever had, hands down! I don't normally like sushi, but I try a roll or two every time I go with someone who orders them. This time I willingly took more, but it was difficult to decide which things to eat more of because the teriyaki chicken, chicken fried rice, potstickers were so delicious as well! We will definitely be returning, and Trish (our sweet server who braved our large party) and Tommy and the rest of the staff were all SO kind. The food was all beautiful and I think my favorite part of all was the sashimi. This is coming from someone who is "not a fan" of sushi... I think Hi 5 has converted me! We will definitely be coming back to visit our new friends and eat yummy food!

    Blue Moon, Las Vegas Roll

Big rolls with amazing fish/filling to rice ratio! I got the blue moon and the blue fin tuna was very fresh. The Las Vegas roll was also nicely fried, and the layer of batter was not too thick. Reasonable pricing and good service.

This place was absolutely amazing. Wonderful presentation, fresh ingredients, delicious taste, and great service! Thanks, Hi 5 Sushi! We will definitely be back!

What a gem! I say that often but this place truly meets the definition. I have thought about this place every day since I've eaten here. I started with the Spicy Tuna Tartar. It was rich and creamy with a beautiful crispy from the rice cup. The Hi-5 roll was one of the best rolls I have ever had. It had a beautifully light and garlicky flavor. We also got the Happy Spoons and how appropriately named. Bites of fresh, flavorful fish with a citrusy sauce. Service was quick and courteous. A cute little spot.

For Az ... one of the freshest sushi's I have had. I love when you go in there is zero hint of a fishy smell . The staff is really nice and very helpful if you want to customize your orders. We got the sashimi plate . It had tuna, blue fin , yellowtail, ahi and salmon . And the presentation was so top notch , all for 46.00! Then we had the lobster roll sushi special . The lobster had a slight hint of char to it , the crab was real , not crab stick and the spicy sauce was so tasty and the size of the roll itself was very easy to eat. I would get it again.

This was my first time to Hi 5 Sushi! I'm glad we came because everything we ordered was delicious. Probably the best sushi I have had in Arizona. Everything was super fresh. My favorite was probably the toro roll. The Service was great and the vibe was perfect. I went with my family. There was alot of us but they were able to accommodate us all. I was so very surprised by the ramen. It was very flavorful! I will definitely be coming back! Perfect spot for lunch or even date night.

Went for lunch after our old sushi place closed. The reviews don't lie, the sushi is amazing! Cute location and awesome service. We'll definitely be back!

Came here after seeing reviews on yelp and I was very impressed! The service was quick and friendly , and the food portions were huge!!! We started out with garlic edamame and then I got the udon soup with chicken and my friends got a bunch of sushi rolls (pictured below) Ambiance was great with fun music playing. Well lit and trendy. Highly recommend

There are restaurants you enjoy, and then there are restaurants that quietly become part of your life. This is the latter. Tommy is an exceptional sushi chef in the truest sense of the word--disciplined, precise, and deeply respectful of his craft. His knife work is immaculate: clean, confident cuts that reveal a mastery you can taste before you even take a bite. Every piece is intentional. Nothing is rushed, nothing is careless. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the quality of the fish. Tommy's supply chain for bluefin--and fish more broadly--is Michelin-level without exaggeration. The bluefin and bluefin chutoro here are, quite simply, the best I've had anywhere in the United States. The balance of fat, freshness, and texture rivals top counters in far larger food cities. It's extraordinary to find this caliber of sourcing and execution in Arizona. Beyond the technical excellence, there is something deeply human about the experience. My wife and I are weekly regulars, and each visit feels less like dining out and more like being welcomed into an old friend's home for dinner. The atmosphere is warm, personal, and unpretentious--an increasingly rare quality at this level of cuisine. This is not sushi meant to impress through theatrics or trends. It impresses through restraint, confidence, and consistency. If Michelin stars were awarded purely on product quality, execution, and the soul of the experience, this restaurant would be an easy candidate. Chandler is fortunate to have it. We certainly are.

Its in a building at the edge of a strip mall so seems like plenty of parking. There's a fun light display with the logo outside the front door on the sidewalk. Inside is very cute! They've definitely made an effort on the ambiance. There's also a nice side patio that looks like it has bamboo shades to make it less "strip mall". The staff here are very warm and welcoming. Great service! Throughout our dinner and our long sitting and chatting after, our waitress was friendly, checking in and offering soda refills. We had the shrimp tempura -- really good! A friend had sushi and loved it (and comes here regularly), and the rest of us all had stir-fries, which were all very good. I ordered Mongolian beef and asked if they had chili oil and our waitress asked if I wanted it in the dish or on the side and I said both, which was no problem. This is a great neighborhood spot to enjoy a relaxed dinner (or lunch!) with friends (or yourself, whatever). It wasn't noisy and we felt very welcomed there. Food was great and its really a great option if you want sushi and others dont. They also have happy hour pricing on some of the appetizers, sushi and boba but I don't think they have alcohol. I can see why this place gets such high stars and will definitely be back.

Music is always on pointe and I would never change the look or ambiance of the place either. My last trip here though I had to ask about why the menu had stopped changing as often since we were one of two parties there in the middle of happy hour and there was a large framed picture of a bartender with a bunch of signed notes on the bottom of it beside me at the bar. It turns out that one of the oldest curators and bartenders of the bar and restaurant had passed from a drunk driving incident and I had not known at all! Gosh I was so disappointed in myself that I had ever complained about not having a new menu to try after that...but at the same time it was amazing to hear so many great anecdotes and to learn so much more about him and the history of the bar itself while dining this time. I had a lot of fun times at this bar - including remembering the first time I met that bartender and sharing that memory with the staff that told me their story. They also shared that they would be coming out with a new menu very soon and some of the new items and ideas that would be rolling out so I am also very excited to go back! New food menu tomorrow too?! What?! I was almost tempted to back today to get more of their amazing dishes from the main menu!! Thank you Cat for the amazing hospitality! We'd already fallen in love with their Gilbert spot on a previous date night, but this time around? We had a baby in tow. Needless to say, we weren't entirely sure what to expect. Turns out, we had nothing to worry about. We were seated quickly and greeted so warmly. Even though the only available seating was at the sushi bar, the hostess didn't blink an eye--she immediately offered a high chair, and it fit perfectly right next to us (zero complaints from me!). Our waiter was incredibly friendly, walked us through the menu beautifully, and clued us in on the big differentiator for this location: their grill. Naturally, we had to test it out. We ordered the A5 Wagyu skewers, and oh my god, they literally melted in our mouths. As for the sushi, it came out fast, and the cuts were incredibly generous. The absolute star of the show was the toro--pure, buttery bliss that dissolved instantly. We also grabbed a sashimi sampler and a few other pieces; everything was flawlessly fresh. Even the side salad was on point and--bless them--not totally drenched in dressing. The only minor skip for me was the oysters, which weren't quite my favorite, but everything else easily made up for it. If you want top-tier, melt-in-your-mouth sushi and killer grill items, this spot is a must. We will absolutely be back!
