    See the roach????
    Lanie N.

So, I've eaten here several times and it has always been to go. Never had a complaint about it. A few nights ago, my family decided to dine in and we totally regret it. We ordered a few dishes, and all the food was super salty, service wasn't that great... and to top it off, I saw something floating in my water, so I looked inside an there was a huge dead roach in my cup. Ew. I literally lost my appetite. I told the server, and she was shocked and just gave me another one. Nothing else was said. While eating my soup, I had a huge long hair in it. While I was hoping they would discount our food, they didn't. We wanted to make a scene, but we were too grossed out to sit there any longer and we just left. Probably won't eat here again. We left all of the food on the table and it was barely touched.

Speedy Wok is a great little hole in the wall Chinese restaurant, mainly serving take-out, but they do have nice limited seating. We were greeted and seated immediately. My hubby ordered the Szechuan pork platter and I order the Szechuan beef platter. The platter; with your choice of steam rice, fried rice or brown rice, Hot & Sour soup or Egg Drop and an roll. We both ordered the Hot & Sour soup, one fried rice and one steamed. The hot & sour soup was very flavorful, one of the best I'm eaten in a long time. My Szechuan beef and tasty, the winner for me was the Szechuan pork; tender and very flavorful. Fast friendly service.

I'd say Speedy Wok is the best fast food/takeout Chinese in town. My husband grew up and was a regular here that the owners all know him. He recommended the place for us to eat one day and I'm glad he did! I'd have to say their fried rice is the best fried rice for a takeout Chinese place. The sweet and sour soup is also my favorite. Now the best kept secret is the general tso chicken! I believe that's their BEST plate. It tastes better when you eat there because it's not as crispy when you take it home (unless you live down the street.) We've been back about three times since and every single time it's been delicious and consistent. I highly recommend Speedy Wok to everyone!

Love their food! So much better that wall of China. The fried rice is great and everything is hot.

Don't know why they don't just converge their menus and open up the space. Service was great, friendly and efficient. Only one guy was working front of the house, so he was busy with the tables and the to-go orders. We only got water to drink, but all their drinks come in these cut mason jars. The E-San Sausage was delicious. It came with a side of cabbage and some pickled ginger that helps cut through the grease. The Crispy Pork Kai-Lan was just okay, not any different from other beef & broccoli dishes elsewhere. The Mango Sticky Rice was so good! The sticky rice was just rice on the stickiness, and the mango was very sweet.

The service is incredibly fast and attentive, which made the experience even better. I've ordered so much takeout from this place that I feel like I've tried nearly everything on the menu, and here are my top recommendations. Also, this place has hands down the best Khao Soi in town! Appetizers -Grilled Pork (Moo Ping) -- Juicy, tender, and flavorful. -Fried Angel Chicken Wing -- Super crispy with a tasty marinade. -Chicken or Pork Pot Stickers -- Great starter; crispy outside, juicy inside. -Shumai -- Light, flavorful, and always cooked just right. Salad -Yum Woon Sen Seafood -- Fresh, tangy, with just the right amount of heat. -Papaya Salad with Dried Shrimp -- The perfect summer salad! I usually ask for extra Thai chilies and lime for that spicy, zesty kick. Main Dishes -Thai Chicken Rice (Kao Mun Gai) -- The best chicken rice ever -- simple but comforting. -Fried Chicken Rice -- Like Kao Mun Gai, but with crispy fried chicken instead of steamed -- so satisfying. Thai Basil Stir-Fried Pork: You can get it with ground or crispy pork; both are amazing. -Crispy Pork Stir-Fried Kai-Lan -- Just as good as the basil pork, a perfect balance of savory and crunchy. -Thai Garlic Pork (Moo Gra Tiem) -- Fragrant, garlicky, always hits the spot. Curry Chicken Noodles (Khao Soi) is my absolute favorite dish here. They're creamy, rich, and flavorful. The chicken portion (thigh/breast) is huge, too! -Roasted Duck Noodle Soup -- Comforting, with tender duck and a rich, savory broth. -Tom Yum Noodle Soup -- Spicy, sour, and so warming, packed with flavor. Desserts / Drinks -Thai Tea -- Sweet, creamy, and the perfect way to cool down. -Mango Sticky Rice -- A classic done right, fresh mango, sticky rice, and just the right amount of coconut sauce. This spot and Panang (next door) have easily become one of my all-time favorite Thai restaurants. The food is always consistently delicious, the portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the value is unbeatable. It never lets me down, whether dining in or grabbing takeout!
