Unfortunately, since Dr. Hill took over and many of the longtime doctors left, the quality of care has noticeably declined. My experiences with the staff and providers have often felt dismissive and uncaring. Rather than feeling listened to and supported, I have frequently felt brushed off and judged. At times, I have overheard conversations and witnessed interactions that made me uncomfortable and gave me the impression that patients' personal situations were being discussed in an unprofessional manner. I have also been frustrated by unexpected charges and bills that were not clearly explained beforehand. Better communication regarding costs and billing would go a long way toward building trust with patients. I have been dealing with an ongoing health issue that has caused significant anxiety, and when I sought help, Dr. Hill made me feel as though I was wrong for coming in and expressing my concerns. Instead of feeling supported, I left feeling discouraged and unheard. What was once a welcoming and compassionate practice no longer feels that way. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and cared for, especially when dealing with ongoing health concerns. I am very disappointed with the direction this office has taken and can no longer recommend this practice based on my recent experiences.

The online patient portal is easy to use and a nice way to see lab results, know what appointments need to be scheduled, etc. For me, the best part is having a one-stop-shop for general medical care, on-site lab work, and gynecological care. I had a long list of health questions and possible ailments and she patiently listened to me and took the time to thoughtfully discuss everything I brought up. At one point she even pulled out a physician's encyclopedia-type book and showed me illustrations about a skin condition I've been struggling with. I left feeling empowered and had a newfound respect for medical professionals. After a trip to Belize, I went to urgent care twice and was ultimately hospitalized for a little bug bite on my back. I had half a dozen doctors look at the bite, and every one of them had a different prognosis. When I finally went to Dr. Charles to follow up after the hospital visit, she took one look at my bug bite and immediately knew what the culprit was. I was furious at the other docs that didn't listen when I told them I'd gone to Belize and had numerous mosquito bites. One of them even suggested it was an ingrown hair (highly unlikely and borderline insulting). I was so impressed that Dr. Charles immediately knew I had a botfly and a week later I was healthy, bug-free, and once again awestruck by her knowledge. Last but not least, Dr. Charles always remembers me as if we're good friends, recalling details of my personal life and asking me how I've been since we last met. It's always unnerving to go to the doctor's office... unless Dr. Charles is your doctor.

However, the appointment I had was intended to refill a prescription of mine for a time-sensitive medication, and I had to call numerous times to remind the office to send the refill request. I missed about a month of my medication as a result and had to call and ask them to refill said medication around 5 times before it was actually refilled. Again, every individual I worked with was incredibly kind and patient, but I got the impression that something in their system wasn't functioning well because I felt as if I was responsible for reminding them to give me the care I should have already been receiving.
