Chris and Corbin came out right away and were right on time. They were kind personable,professional, thorough and reasonably priced. They noticed that something in my wood stove was missing and replaced it for free. They explained how my stove would work most efficiently and gave an honest suggestion at how often we should get it cleaned based on usage. They also gave me a free sample of something called fat wood that would help start fires without using too much paper which apparently is not good for the stove. I've been having Chris come out to my house for the last 6 or 7 years. I had to have him come out as soon as possible because my initial fire was smoking and when the wood became embers it was causing my carbon monoxide detector to go off. Chris came out in 2 days with his son. Unfortunately he has to climb my steep roof to get the brush to go up and down the pipe. The pipe was installed in a way that it bends at the bottom and you can't get the brush past the bend. Today Chris worked the roof while his son worked the fireplace. Chris found the chimney cap screen was clogged badly, so he removed the cap, screen and removed the soot and creosote. The job was done probably in 30 minutes, but what I like was that there was no after mess and now I'm getting an easy startup fire with no stress. Chris is very knowledgeable and professional with his business. If you have questions, give him call, if you need a sweep, give him a call. Also be careful with those fires and for God's sake, don't go climb a roof if your not a professional or old like me. read more

Chris was very kind and professional when returning my phone call. He was personable and humble and super gracious. We had not used our fireplace for over 12 years and we're not sure how clean the chimney was and whether the gas fireplace still worked (or even remembered how to work it). Since the weather was getting chillier we wanted to get a cozy fire going in the evenings as we would wind down from distance learning and working from home. Chris showed up with his son on time - masks in place and kept their distance at 6 ft. They were very respectful. They took a look at our fireplace and said it was completely fine. No chimney sweep needed. There we only a couple of spiderwebs but nothing that really needed cleaning. They checked the gas fireplace and tested it and it was all ok. He mentioned that we needed to keep our damper open and put something to keep it open for safety. At the end he was very helpful in explaining everything and assuring us that all was good - and that we didn't need to call him for another couple of years until we needed a cleaning.
