After some red flags, I contacted the local Building Division directly and confirmed that this company did NOT pull the required permits for the work they performed. That's not a minor oversight; proper permitting is a California requirement for HVAC replacements and major installations, and it protects the homeowner, ensures inspections, and keeps insurance valid. It's in the mechanical code! Instead of being upfront or professional, they pushed ahead without following basic legal procedures. There are plenty of reputable HVAC companies on the Central Coast who actually follow code, take responsibility for their work, and don't cut corners. Unfortunately, Central Coast Heating & Air is not one of them. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want your job done legally, safely, and with integrity. We have used Wicks for roofing repairs on 4 homes in the past 10 years and have been very satisfied…read more I used them again last week for a leak from water heater vent and they sealed up all my roof vents and fixed the leak. We have 2 homes with tile roofs as well and one had to have 2 major leaks fixed. One leak was from a nail that was part of the roof install originally but caused a long term leak. Two areas of the tile roof had to be completely removed down to the wood and replaced. The shingles were saved and put back on and you cannot tell it was repaired. The fascia had rotted from the leaking and was replaced. Excellent work.
