Excellent wine! I've tried a variety of different kinds and they are all wonderful. The owners are very knowledgeable and friendly. I've also gone to an event held close to home here in Pittsburgh. They had samples with light appetizers. Highly recommended if you get a chance to attend any! They also ship so you can enjoy it anytime

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly to all visitors. Beautiful views all around the property. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious wine tasting experience! Definitely worth the drive out!

Wonderful wines, beautiful view and top notch staff. We absolutely LOVE this place. We highly recommend making the trip to enjoy this experience.

We stayed here via Harvest Hosts in October 2020. Just an absolutely fantastic location, and Beth is such a wonderful host. We enjoyed the property, the isolation and spent some time in the tasting patio, as well. Could not recommend it more!

We arrived 10 minutes to 5pm thinking that we were early. Little did we know they were fully reserved for the night! After speaking with the staff, they kindly moved the earth to fit us in to give us the taste of Japan we had been missing. With such graceful service, a calm atmosphere, and authentic flavors, we were transported back to Japan during our time at Murata.

The service was wonderful--the staff were mostly Japanese and very kind--and the portions for the dinner sets were generous for the price. However, the quality of the sushi felt like a standard neighborhood spot. The fish appeared to be pre-cut and frozen rather than freshly broken down in the kitchen. The biggest disappointment was the Hokkaido Uni. At $40 for two pieces ($20 each), I expected top-notch quality, but it sadly lacked freshness. The tempura was ordinary as well, though the complimentary amuse-bouche (tofu, broccoli, and asparagus) was surprisingly delicious. It's a decent spot if you want a high-value, casual sushi dinner, but since I prioritize the freshness of the fish, I don't think I'll be back.

Momoyama definitely delivers in the flavor department. What I was struck by was not just the freshness of the fish, nor the expert cuts...but the diversity of flavors. Perfect example - the King salmon with truffle knocked my socks off. I am not really a fan of salmon. I find its raw texture to often be a little soft to my taste and the funk of the omega 3s in quality salmon is just... not my bag. The truffle completely transformed the experience for me. I was not prepared for how well the earthy notes of the truffle complimented the King salmon. It made the sushi something to be savored without any of the traditional off-putting (to me) fishy funkiness. Highly recommended. Similarly, the octopus Sunomono was perfectly prepared. Often, octopus can be chewy. Not in this case. Additionally, the sauces and the salad greens complimented the dish and elevated it from traditional "sushi tastes." The bracing acidity made me want to eat more and was a delightful preamble for the rest of the meal. Service was prompt, friendly, and accommodating. We had a large group of eight and they were dutiful in informing us they had included gratuity in the bill so as to avoid double tipping. This small courtesy was not wasted on us. Service was always readily accessible without being intrusive. Orders were executed without defect and questions were answered pleasantly and with expertise. The restaurant has a pleasant and serene serving space. The bracing refrain of the "Irashai!" Greeting was a welcome touch that made me smile. Overall highly recommended. The prices were quite excellent given the quality of food and I would not hesitate a second visit. Sushi well, my friends.

Maybe the idea is to help with any language barrier -- the server spoke fluent English, while often the sushi chefs do not -- but we found him way too attentive. We sat at the bar so we could interact with the sushi chefs. We did talk with a chef, but his advice wasn't very specific. So...despite plenty of suggestions from the server, and some advice from the chef, and a long time perusing and discussing the extensive menu, we still weren't sure what to order. We finally went with a combo and were disappointed to see it served in a boat! That just seemed like a gimmicky, touristy thing, we would have preferred a plate. The fish actually was very good, and so were the salads. A shrimp nigiri was the only misstep, as the shrimp was overcooked. I guess I would return to this place -- hopefully on that server's day off! And make sure my order is not coming on a little boat. And skip the shrimp.

The only issue we had is the sake flight sampler my husband ordered had to be substituted and instead of the $15 glass option they substituted a $12 glass option (nothing was mentioned in advance) and the okonomiyaki they are promoting is not available (bummer we were really hoping to have that). All that is to say, first world "problems" and nothing was really a problem per se. We also had 5 pc gyoza appetizer and requested steamed instead of fried which they were happy to accommodate. Had some 5 pc shrimp tempura appetizer too. This 1/2 Japanese woman raised in America says -- eat here, it is authentic! Oishii!!!!

We start off with hot green teas & it's so authentic + rich in flavor. It comes in a nice tea pot and remains hot throughout our meal. We move on to get their gyoza & cucumber salad. Their gyoza is always crispy. The cucumber salad is simple but always delicious. We move onto our rolls - he likes the orange snow and I prefer the dragon rolls. They are portioned well. The flavors within the rolls complement each other well and I love the drizzle of unagi sauce. Our most recent visit, we ordered the poke salad. The Tuna was fresh and tasted great. We weren't huge fans of the seaweed salad. We've tried other rolls and have not been disappointed with any. Our family members also enjoy this place when we visit. The service is always quick and we are usually in and out within an hour. Definitely recommend this spot.

Is it wrong to love an office building? Well, I don't really care about your judgments anyway…read more I've worked at four different jobs in the 'Black Box' and let me tell you, my office building can kick your office building's ass. For one thing, this place has the most phenomenal building staff I've ever seen. Everybody from the security folks to the guy who vaccums the driveway and mops the parking garage (you read that right) are super friendly and strangely driven to make tenants happy. Despite being built in the 70's and being cloaked entirely in black glass, 200 Market has won all kinds of awards for sustainable building design and practices (mostly because of extensive retrofitting done in the 90s). It has aggressive recycling programs and it's own little co-generation facility next to the parking garage Yeah, take THAT Wells Fargo Tower! Now there's a Flexcar hybrid in the garage but they used to have a little electric two-seater that tenants could borrow to run errands! Can you match that, Umpqua Bank Building? I don't think so. So the lobby cafe has had its ups and downs, down on the plaza out front (where there are free lunchtime concerts every Wednesday in the Summer) we have Carafe and Murata, two of the best French and Japanese venues around these parts, respectively. And even if your lame-o office building could manage all that, which it can't, 200 Market has two grass BOCCE COURTS on the second floor and a September building-wide tournament that completely eliminates all productivity for an entire week. So yeah, I do love my office building. I don't care who knows it. I'd shout it from the roof but they won't let me up there.

We visited here in a summer evening, and it was also the hottest day of the time I visited Portland. My appetite was drained from the summer heat, so we wanted to eat something is refreshing and will cool us down. Out of the options, poke fit with our requirements; additionally, it was close within walking distance from the place we resided, so we didn't need to walk in the baking streets. There was a kiosk machine near the entrance, so we ordered our food from it. We all chose tuna as the main protein, but mine I kept as raw and my relatives chose the charred option. The dishes arrived at the same time and they also came with this cute beefy chopsticks packet. Unlike the typical chopsticks bag, this one contained a lot of goodies, including the wet napkin. This was nice. I enjoyed the poke from this restaurant because one, I can make it as simple as I want. This seems like a weird praise, but when you are in the Bay Area, their poke theme is stuffed with vegetables and other toppings, which I don't need. This eventually pushes the fish protein to the back, overall hiding the fish's flavor. Here, the poke was simple, where the main focus is the bright, red tuna and the toppings are lighter, sesame, seaweed, and pickled vegetables. For my record, the tuna tasted better as raw; my relatives mentioned that the charred made the tuna sweeter. I also felt the portions were just right for the moment, when the summer heat prevents me from eating more.
