I've been following his work for a few years now and thought that if we were to ever sell our home, that we would consider him as an agent. The opportunity arose in early October when we put our home on the market. We were trying to choose between using Chris and another reputable and knowledgeable agent that we used in the past who had done very well for us. In the end, we chose Chris because he demonstrated his specific knowledge of our neighborhood (Portola Springs) during a Zoom interview in addition to sharing with us his record of prior sales the previous year. As an added bonus, he closed us by asking for our business- which I appreciated being in the sales industry myself. Chris ended up getting us the full asking price for our home!!! We have owned multiple investment and personal-use properties over the last 15 years and this review is based on our experiences overall. In our opinion, Chris is a good realtor for properties at a certain price range ($500K - $1 MM) but questionable outside that range. We were underwhelmed by our experience with him on a ~$1.5MM property. While he seemed very laid-back, we were hoping he would exhibit more drive somewhere in the process. In the end, while he was responsive and always available, we really did not feel he was doing anything extra special to move our property and drive multiple offers like we had stated in our interview with him. Throughout the process, we had issues with a lack of communication and we had to meet with him multiple times to provide the feedback and reset expectations. We went against his recommendation to under-price our house to drive multiple offers, and came up with our own price - we are happy we did, because he was not successful in getting more than one offer for us. In a strong market, we were lucky our house sold, but I would have definitely evaluated the myriad of better options out there.
