    Gyro sandwich

Best Greek food! Warmly greeted by George. Ordered the appetizer spanakopita. Excellent and big enough to be an entree. Wife got the souvlaki and I got the gyro. Both of us got the side Greek salad that was included. The side salad was much larger than I expected. The ingredients were all in the right proportions. The gyro and souvlaki were excellent. Started with complimentary pita and tzatziki sauce. The whole meal was outstanding and plentiful as only Greeks can do.

My parents and grandparents love coming here for the quality of food and good prices. The favs are the gyro and the lamb chops. The lamp chops are huge, lots of meat and they give you 5 of them. Seasonings were perfect, one was a little too salty but overall cooked to perfection. I love the side of the lemony potatoes and a salad. For two sides and the meal of lamb chops for $38 you can't beat that for the portion and quality. I split the meal with my grandma and I saw other people splitting meals as well. No splitting charge! And no charge for using a credit card. The gyro platter and gyro sandwich are huge and the meat is succulent. You can see them carving it off the spits in the front. On a Saturday night at 6:30 the place was packed but we only waited 10 min to sit inside when we were told 20. They are very quick but they don't rush you out. Service is excellent and attentive. It's loud if seated inside. My grandma had a tough time hearing me. Even if you are not a Greek food fan like me I recommend to try this place. I don't usually like tzatziki sauce or feta but I like them both here! They also give you complimentary pita.

The best Grecian platter! Flavor flavor and more flavor. Friendly staff. The place is not fancy but always busy and for good reason. Prices are reasonable. Indoor/outdoor seating with a covered patio.

Chris' Taverna remains a popular place for Greek food because, simply put, it's good food. We enjoyed our recent visit. The service was excellent and the portion sizes were quite large. Upon seating, the server promptly gave us a plate of warm, fresh pita bread and a house-made tahini for dipping. Great way to start dinner! For my dinner, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap with french fries. It was delicious, and I could barely finish it because it was so large. My wife had the chicken santorini, which had been recommended by a friend. It consisted of grilled chicken with sauteed tomatoes, feta cheese, onions and rice. The proportion of chicken to the other ingredients was a bit light, but the flavors were good, and she'd pass along the recommendation to others. Note: a shrimp version of this dish is also available. For her side dish, my wife had hummus. It was a good-sized portion and had a pleasant taste although it was a little thinner than she had expected. Our friends had the pastitsio, which is essentially a Greek version of lasagna, with layers of macaroni and ground beef. Very dense and delicious. They had plenty of leftovers. The atmosphere is okay but a bit dated, as the walls were filled with photographic murals of Greek cities. The overhead fluorescent lighting was a little harsh. We certainly had no trouble seeing our food. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and will be back sooner rather than later.

Once again I searched for and found an incredible Greek spot. The food is above par and the service was great. The ambiance takes me to Greece. I love this place. I will be back with my Greek wife to get her opinion. I'm sure she will like it.

The best Greek food I have ever had. I order take out 3-4 times per week from here. My go to is the grilled chicken or octopus Greek salad which comes with free pita bread and Tzatziki sauce and rice stuffed grapes leaves (my favorite). The salad is huge and fresh, you must try this place.

Great moussaka !. The portion is so large that we always take half home, and reheat it in the oven the next day for a second wonderful meal.

I was visiting friends, and since her family is pretty big, this has become their go-to restaurant. She mentioned that the staff never hesitates when a large party walks in and always accommodates everyone without making it feel like an inconvenience. The dining room is one large, open space with tables throughout, creating a lively atmosphere. I absolutely loved it. It was filled with people enjoying incredible food, and you could tell this place was a local favorite. Of course, I had to start with one of their Greek beers, served in a traditional beer mug, which was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We also ordered the tzatziki and hummus sampler, and I'm so glad we did. The flavors were unbelievable, and they were incredibly generous with the warm pita bread. Honestly, I ate so much of the sampler that by the time it came to order my entrée, all I could manage was a piece of grilled chicken. Even then, I found myself dipping the chicken into the hummus and tzatziki because they were just that good. I left completely full, happy, and even had leftovers to take home. The staff was fantastic--everyone worked together seamlessly, helping one another and making sure every table was taken care of. It created such a welcoming atmosphere. After eating here, it's easy to understand why this restaurant has so many outstanding reviews. The food, service, and overall experience absolutely live up to the hype.

Next to the restaurant there are amazing stores and when your done eating you can go shopping. I got the Greek salad which is a staple there, the fresh vegetables and the cheese is the right amount of bite. I would have ordered two salads because you really want your own. We had the warm pita bread with the taziki, the best part of the meal, this is freshly made and trust me, you taste the garlic in every bite. It's so fresh and homemade. The spanakopita is ok, I get it every once in a while but it's not my favorite. They make a lot of good dishes. I highly recommend this place.

Not exactly the ambiance you want, especially if you have mold allergies or sensitivities. The food was good overall, although the grilled calamari was completely bland. Unfortunately, the service left much more to be desired. We were celebrating my friend's birthday, which I noted on our OpenTable reservation. We also mentioned it to staff several times, including when ordering dessert. During our meal, we watched 5-6 other birthday tables receive the little Roman candle, singing and clapping. When our friend's dessert arrived, however, the server simply put it on the table and walked away. No candle, no singing, no acknowledgment. We ended up singing Happy Birthday ourselves. We weren't expecting special treatment--just the same treatment we watched other birthday guests receive. After mentioning it repeatedly, being completely overlooked was incredibly disappointing. Good food, but between the mold smell and the lack of attention to what should have been a special occasion, we won't be returning. Good food is easy to find; making your guests feel welcome apparently isn't.

This was my first visit and my first time trying them, and I was impressed by how many options they offer. The customization is extensive without feeling overwhelming, and everything looked fresh and well maintained. I went with the falafel bowl, built over rice and lettuce, and one standout detail was that they offered three different rice options. I chose the lentil rice, which had excellent flavor and added a nice depth to the bowl. All of the toppings, condiments, and add-ons tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The falafel itself was satisfying, and the overall meal felt balanced--filling without being heavy. It gave that ideal healthy, energized feeling rather than leaving me sluggish afterward. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was very clean, which always matters in a fast-casual setting, and the service stood out. The staff was welcoming, and the manager came by our table several times to check in and make sure everything was going well, which added a personal touch that you don't always get in this style of restaurant. Overall, a very solid first experience. Fresh food, strong service, clean environment, and plenty of options. I'd definitely return and would recommend checking it out if you're in the mood for Mediterranean done in a casual, customizable format.

Staff greeted us when we entered and helped explain how their menu. It is very similar to the other "fill a bowl" concept, casual restaurants, but in this case Mediterranean delights await you. There are several different types of proteins, and as a pesco-vegetarian, I was pleased to see tofu as an option. There's falafel too! (The tofu was well seasoned and not bland little cubes of food.) You can do a bed of greens, pita, hummus, or rice as your base. I went with the rice which was deliciously seasoned, though (spoiler alert!) next time I might go with hummus. There are many fresh herbs options for toppings, including spices and sauces. All the vegetables were crispy, and the portions were generous. The price point is fair and what you would expect to see at similar restaurants. I wish Olive U were closer to my home, because it's a great fresh option if you're looking for a quick take-home meal as well. I did see that they offer family-style dinners where you get a large portion and everybody eats the same thing. I think that is a great idea and not something I've seen at the other bowl - style restaurants. As I've already spoiled above (hee her , I definitely plan a return visit one day. Or they could just build locations in Broward! Hint hint.
