From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with hospitality that makes you feel like family. The LAMB SHANK and octopus were perfectly seasoned, the spanakopita was flaky and delicious, and the house made pita and tzatziki was the best I've ever tasted. Every dish transported us straight to the Greek islands. If you're craving authentic greek food, you must try this place! I've been coming here for a couple years now and just realized I don't think I've left a review! What a miss! But I may have wanted to keep the secret a while longer, you can't blame me! The plaza where it's located has plenty of parking, and I love that you get to seat outside if the Florida heat isn't too crazy for you. I typically like to seat at the bar, but rest assured there are plenty of tables inside as well so you can truly choose. This location has started to get busier and busier and there's a valid reason for it! But I've yet to see it fully packed, so you probably don't need a reservation. In terms of the food, there's not an item I wouldn't recommend... but I do highly suggest you try their burger dish! as well as the octopus, and of course, the lemon potatoes! I'm not even a fan of potatoes, but I love them here! This last visit, I was served by Sofia who was super kind and patient while my family finally made up their minds. I LOVE Souvlaki GR and the one in Boynton is the best in the US. It's probably the best out of all locations of this closely held micro chain, but since I haven't tried the one in Panama City--and I don't mean north Florida--I have to leave open the possibility that however unlikely, there's one other restaurant location that may be better. Last night we enjoyed the Porto Carras wine made by winemakers formerly from France. I call it an adult wine with similar earthly profiles of what I call brown wines--first growth Bordeauxs. Main courses were the specials: Patagonian Toithfish "Plaki" and Laxanodolmades cabbage wrapped rice Kadden meatballs near with avgolemono (egg lemon sauce, the same used in the famous Greek soup). And did I mention that they use the ultra-premium, world renowned, and global award winning Iliada Gold Extra Virgin Olive? As usual, we had a wonderful dinner on Saturday evening at our go-to place. This time we ordered the dinner for two for $90 which included a Bronzino filet , octopus, 2 skewers of shrimp, broccoli rabe, lemon potatoes and two Calimare fish. Unreal! We also treated ourselves to two cappuccinos and their luscious orange cake with a little bit of ice cream on the side. This was a spur of the moment decision to go there for dinner. My husband and I was figuring out whether to go to Boynton or Lake Worth. We decided to check it out since we haven't had Greek food in a while. Thankfully, we made a reservation and got seated promptly since it was packed. Our waiter came over and was very personable. He assisted us with what questions we had about the menu. I went for the Kalamaki plate and it had pork, chicken, and shrimp skewers with Greek fries. It was very good and plentiful. I couldn't finish all of it since I didn't want to burst..lol. They surprised us with a rice pudding dessert to share. The staff and the service was excellent. I was meeting up with a friend for dinner and I'm so glad i was smart enough to book us a reservation in advance because when we got there it was PACKED. It seemed a bit crammed at times for some of the waiters to get by so just beware. We are both on a health journey currently so Mediterranean seemed like a good choice. They had great reviews on google too. I ordered the Avgolemono soup and the Mussels. I would've ordered the soup twice because that's how good it was! The mussels were ok. They gave us complimentary pita bread with regular hummus and that was tasty. The inside definitely makes you feel like you're right in the heart of Greece. Beautiful aesthetics and a nice sized bar. Love Souvlaki Grill in Boynton Beach. Their location is super close to my home so whenever I'm feeling Greek food I just drive over. I love it because they are on UberEats, GrubHu, and Resy! So if you have an Amex you can hit three birds with one stone. I order the Chicken Souvlaki Pita (see picture below) EVERYTIME I go here and it always hits the spot. I went out to dinner here with a group of friends on Friday evening around 5. We didn't have a reservation but got a table right away. By the time we left, around 6:30, the place was very crowded even though they have lots of seating so I would recommend having a reservation. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, which was perfect for a fall evening. We appreciated that they have high chairs for toddlers too. We ordered a bunch of food which came with deliciously soft pita bread. My favorite was the Greek burger. It comes out medium and is stuffed with feta. It is tasty, juicy, and so flavorful. Everyone loved the dishes they got, and all the food came out pretty quickly. Even the 1-year-old was scarfing down all the food. He especially liked the meatball appetizer dish. Excellent authentic Greek food. We had early reservations with another couple on New Years Eve. We started out with some appetizers, cocktails and beer. I wasn't a fan of the meatballs., but the 3 hummus spread and the Greek salad was delicious. My wife's cocktail was also delicious, and my Greek beer was great. This used to be an Italian restaurant a few years back, huge parking lot in the back, they did a great job with renovations. My wife ordered the lamb shank , I ordered the lamb chops, and we also had steak kabobs. Seriously maybe the best chops I have had. My parents and I dined here on a whim on a Saturday. We were lucky and we didn't have to wait. The dining room is really pretty, but it was really loud and they had music blasting. Despite it being hot, we opted to sit outside, which wasn't too bad since they have fans. We ordered saganaki for an appetizer. It was a little untraditional. Instead of being flambéd at the table, it was deep fried. It was good, but it was a little heavy and greasy. They also brought us complementary pita and hummus. I would've preferred for the pita to be a little bit warmer. The hummus was delicious and fresh. We also ordered taziki, which was good but nothing special. It was a little thicker than I like. For entrees, we ordered a traditional moussaka, a vegetarian moussaka and a salad. The vegetable moussaka was tasty and the texture was great. I've just had better moussaka. The salad was my favorite dish. It was simple and the dressing was delicious. The service was also pretty decent. Our waitress continued to refill our water throughout the meal. She did seem a little stressed and she forgot our receipt, but considering how busy it was, she did a good job. Overall, the food was good. I've just been spoiled with better Greek food. read more

We had a group of six everybody placed their order when the server came and called out each order. There was one order left, which was mine and he said the Pita I'll call that sandwich with extra feta. Our waitress was right there. I said I didn't order extra feta, In fact I didn't order any at all on my sandwich. She said in front of everybody don't worry I'll take a dollar off. I found that to be not only embarrassing in front of all my friends, but more so rude, disrespectful, and lack of customer service. How dare you make an insinuation that I can't even afford a dollar this person needs to be retrained and learn how to have common customer service without an attitude. I won't mention her name, for this reason myself and five others will NOT be back. And just one other thing when ordering a pita sandwich some restaurants it comes with fries inside and others on the side I particularly don't wanna eat french fries inside my sandwich or a burrito, etc. to me It's just a filler, but at least have it on the side. for some reason I've never heard of it but if you don't want it in your sandwich, at least give it to your customer on the side. Our waiter didn't have complete grasp of English and messed up our drink orders, but they were corrected. We shared 2 Greek salads for our table of 4 and they were very good. This restaurant has decent food and I've eaten here before but tonight's dinner was a mistake. First off, desserts need to improved. The baklava was super dry and lifeless. I asked for them to bring some honey for me to put on top. Ate a small piece and just not worth it. I asked for additional tzitkie sauce and they charged an extra $2 for a tiny amount. THEN when we got the bill, they had the AUDACITY to charge $31 for one of our dishes which consisted of three (3) skewers of grilled vegetables with a side of potatoes. To top it off, after speaking to the manager, he tried to tell us that chicken and pork is cheaper than vegetables!! WTH Manager/owner was rude to me and trying to convince me that zucchini, peppers, and eggplant cost more than chicken and pork. Overpriced vegetables is what one of us got. The Boynton Beach restaurant continues that expansion, offering a casual Greek dining experience with bright, white-washed walls, blue accents, and Mediterranean-style lighting that creates a relaxed, taverna-style atmosphere. It was a great night to sit outside, and the patio was buzzing with energy. Strings of lights, flowering bougainvillea, and a full crowd made for a pleasant and festive setting. The meal started with a complimentary appetizer: warm, seasoned pita bread served with a fava bean and split pea dip drizzled with olive oil. It was smooth, flavorful, and a welcome start. We liked it so much we considered ordering more (just $2 for an extra portion). We followed with the 3 Meze sampler ($21), choosing hummus, skorthalia, and a spicy feta cheese dip. Although we were told the eggplant dip wasn't available, we later saw it at another table--but to their credit, the staff gave us a sample to take home. The skorthalia was made with almonds instead of the usual potato, giving it a nutty, garlicky taste that might not appeal to everyone. The hummus was heavy on garlic but missing the sesame depth and citrus-herb brightness found in more traditional versions. The spicy feta dip was the best of the bunch--creamy, bold, and well-balanced. Still, the portion size overall felt a bit small for the price. The seafood platter was the clear winner of the night. A generous mix of orzo pasta in a zesty tomato sauce came topped with large shrimp, tender calamari, and fresh clams and mussels. Everything was cooked well and full of flavor. A glass of ouzo on ice paired nicely and rounded out the meal. In a part of South Florida where good Greek food can be hard to find, Souvlaki GR stands out for offering something more authentic and well-executed than the norm. read more

The 4 of us sat at the bar. This was my first visit, and it was today. The restaurant did not over-do it with decor or appearance...sitting down and looking around made me think I was in Greece. We arrived during happy hour, and luckily arrived before the restaurant got filled (and it got filled FAST)! The food was very good (I had the arni yiouvetsi, which is the slow cooked grass-fed lamb shank). Service was excellent considering they appeared to be understaffed. From my observation, the bartender was not there. Looked like the manager was bartending, as well as helping out with restaurant service. There was a young female assisting him at the bar, I'm assuming she was one of at least two hosts because she was making simple drinks at the bar and helping the servers dropping them off at tables. As a former server, and working in hospitality for years, I was itching to jump back there and help them out. Anyway, if you have not tried this place, try it. Order the $26 "Chicken Kebab" NOT the $22.50 "Kalamakia Plate" It came with 3 skewers containing 4 pieces of chicken, (4 shrimp, & 4 lamb + $6) There were no onions, green peppers or tomatoes included. It comes with 1 side dish. Our server never told us potatoes come with the meal. They were not served. We shared a Horiatiki salad which was mostly tomatoes and onions. My girlfriend asked for eggplant Melitzanosalata as a substitute for humus and was charged $2 extra. Nickel and diming customers will not generate repeat traffic. The dinner was shared, no alcohol, just a bottle of sparkling water and the bill totaled $75. A disappointing evening. read more

Had driven past the previous week and seen how busy the restaurant was, both inside and outside. Four of us sampled all sorts of dishes- the meat feast for 2 was excellent, as were the lamb chops and the moussaka. Salads and dips with warm pita also very good. Wine menu was a little confusing but the waiter helped me find a good glass of Greek red. Ambiance and decoration were great, time flew by and we realized it was nearly closing time. Everything we ordered was inedible. The chicken was disgusting and rubbery and had zero flavor. The salad was sitting in 1" of oil and the tomatoes were old and mushy. The orzo was overcooked and soaking in unseasoned tomato juice. The bread was stale. The potatoes were over boiled and mush, also without any flavor or seasoning. It was in a good corner location right off the main strip however I'm sure during busy hours, parking is probably not easy. The food was at best mediocre while the pricing was astronomical for the portion size you get, especially the lunch menu. Want a little extra tzatziki? 3 tablespoons for $2. Service was lacking with little to no communication, not even a smile. Didn't really feel welcomed. Wouldn't mind paying good money for delicious food but unfortunately everything was under seasoned, so having salt on the table is a must. I just cannot recommend this place. read more
