This is a typical diner that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day with a Greek twist. The menu is pretty complete with soup, salad, sandwiches, and a big variety of breakfast food. I dined here for lunch and it was not too crowded so I could choose between a booth or table. The restaurant itself was overall clean but could use to repaint and redo the carpet because it looked very dated. Our server was half deaf and in my opinion too old to be a server and messed up the order because of his hearing deficit and then argued with me that I ordered different than what he thought. The Greek Gyro wrap with salad on the side is different than the Greek Salad with Gyro meat. Basically he took my food back into the kitchen and took it out of the wrap and served it back to me. Thankfully I wasn't charged for the salad because the salad is much larger. Portion size was good for the price. My husband ordered the Tuna Melt with Swiss and it was served at room temperature with cheese that wasn't melted. He said that the tuna was plentiful and very fresh. I'm going back: there's so much to try. Pretty good service, very clean place, vast and varied menu. Let me get this out of the way: Desserts weren't very impressive. Disappointed. Main courses and sides: excellent. Good enough that trying the liver and onions plus an order of Greek moussaka pushed them back up to 5 stars despite not caring for dessert. Overall i like this place and service. Food is good with good portions. Nice selection of Dr. Browns soda; Place does get crowded but we went around 4pm and no problem getting seated. Upon entering it became even better. Average customer age is late 70s which means good value pricing for people with fixed income, a vast menu of breakfast/brunch, lunch and dinner specialties. Besides your typical eggs/bacon/omelettes/pancakes/waffles, the lunch/dinner dishes are Italian and Greek. We tried a variety of things and the verdict is in: 1) stick with typical brunch/breakfast 2) not a fan of the Italian me a items. Chicken parm was runny and the spaghetti so overcooked it was not good 3) wine at $4.50 is a good value. Four of us came here for dinner and this place was hopping even though it was after 7pm. We were seated promptly but server took a little time to greet us...nothing extremely long though. The three others ordered the 1/2 chicken dinner and all got different sides. Hubby said the French fries were blazing hot (temperature) and mother-in-law presumably liked the mashed potatoes as she ate those first. I tried a bite of chicken and it was one of the best grilled chicken I have ever had at restaurant. I ordered grilled fish with green beans and rice pilaf. I thought I ordered grouper but maybe it was tilapia. Doesn't matter - I like both. My meal was served about a minute after the chicken entrees and it was piping hot! I had breakfast while my friend had lunch. I had decaf iced coffee which turned out not to be decaf. It was a horrific day for me after that. Everyone should be sure to specify repeatedly that they must have decaf. Wait staff doesn't seem too happy. Maybe because of an older crowd who are watching their money. We would not have found this place except for Yelp. So thank you! We stopped by for lunch (but they serve breakfast all the time) and they were packed. We had to wait briefly to be seated. Inside there are both booths and regular tables. Tables are fairly close together. Our server was on top of her game -- efficient, knowledgeable, and got everything just right. Obviously had her job down pat, even anticipating our needs for refills, and extras. My husband decided to have another breakfast -- a popular option of those dining around us. He chose their Greek omelet -- three eggs with feta, onions, and tomatoes. It came with a choice of bread (he got their last "everything" bagel) and either hash browns or home fries (he did the hash). The omelet was very good, the hash browns just ok, and the bagel great (it came with cream cheese; butter was on the table). I started with a cup of Greek lemon soup -- a good lemony version served hot. And then had a lightly toasted bagel (no rye so got pumpernickel) with nova (lox) and cream cheese. There was a lot of lox on the plate (I took half home). Besides the food being good, I couldn't believe their prices! So reasonable (guess that why they were packed?). The menu is large. Aside from waiting to place my order, I never got a refill on my cup of coffee after it arrived, almost right when my food arrived. When I wanted that second cuppa coffee, the server was seen in the back hallway, rolling silverware with people getting sat in her section, waiting for Service. I had a very disappointing visit at the Palm Diner this weekend. I asked for a grilled cheese with tomato. When it arrived, it had bacon on it. I stated I didn't ask for bacon and the server said "are you allergic"? I said "no, I don't eat meat". He took my dish and came back 10 minutes later asking if they can just take the bacon off"?
