This was my first visit and my first time trying them, and I was impressed by how many options they offer. The customization is extensive without feeling overwhelming, and everything looked fresh and well maintained. I went with the falafel bowl, built over rice and lettuce, and one standout detail was that they offered three different rice options. I chose the lentil rice, which had excellent flavor and added a nice depth to the bowl. All of the toppings, condiments, and add-ons tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The falafel itself was satisfying, and the overall meal felt balanced--filling without being heavy. It gave that ideal healthy, energized feeling rather than leaving me sluggish afterward. I have been wanting to visit Olive U Mediterranean Grill and finally have the opportunity because I was in this Delray neighborhood. There is ample parking and seating, though I can imagine this place gets quite busy with the workday lunch crowd. The restaurant was very clean, inviting and casual. Staff greeted us when we entered and helped explain how their menu. It is very similar to the other "fill a bowl" concept, casual restaurants, but in this case Mediterranean delights await you. There are several different types of proteins, and as a pesco-vegetarian, I was pleased to see tofu as an option. There's falafel too! (The tofu was well seasoned and not bland little cubes of food.) You can do a bed of greens, pita, hummus, or rice as your base. I went with the rice which was deliciously seasoned, though (spoiler alert!) next time I might go with hummus. There are many fresh herbs options for toppings, including spices and sauces. All the vegetables were crispy, and the portions were generous. The price point is fair and what you would expect to see at similar restaurants. I wish Olive U were closer to my home, because it's a great fresh option if you're looking for a quick take-home meal as well. I did see that they offer family-style dinners where you get a large portion and everybody eats the same thing. I think that is a great idea and not something I've seen at the other bowl - style restaurants. As I've already spoiled above (hee her , I definitely plan a return visit one day. When you're looking for fast food but want to be healthy, Olive U is a great option. Build your own salad bowl with Mediterranean spice to kick it up. Pick a base, a protein, toppings and sauces. Kind of like Chipotle. Vegan options also available. If looking for a less healthy menu item, I highly recommend the French fries topped with feta cheese -- so good! Wow!! This is my new favorite bowl/salad bar type of healthy fast food restaurant. It was my first time at Olive U, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and ingredients. The place looks clean and nice. Bathroom is sparkling clean, which is a huge bonus. I didn't know which type of chicken I wanted and the girls at the counter kindly suggested a sample. Basically this is how it works: 1. You chose one type out of 3 delicious kinds of rice or a pita. 2. You choose your protein 3. Add as many toppings as you want 4. Add some extra charge toppings like baba ganoush (which was so delicious), dolmas or other delicious. I was glad we stopped by this place. Absolutely new favorite. And so glad we did. First of all, Just Wow this establishment was spanking new looking and spotless clean. Lana, Betty and Sophia were all smiles and very helpful picking out our entrees. I ordered the Lamb/Beef Gyro Pita with a side of Grape leaves. My brother ordered the Chicken Shawarma Pita and our friend TJ ordered the Lamb Gyro Rice Bowl. We also enjoyed some pita with pesto hummus that had the slightest hint of cilantro. So glad we stumbled on this fresh new concept. It's located in a plaza with a few great dining options. read more

As a middle eastern I can tell you that the food that I had did taste good. Although, I never had such tiny & flat falafel balls. I used to work for a falafel place in High school. I was served by a young girl, who was afraid to put the food on my plate. The grape leaves, they give you one $1.40. Was tasteless; they should buy a better one. They charged me $1.00 for pita, if I got my food loaded in a pita bread, it would have e been free. Plenty of parking. read more

Olive U staff members Valerie and Jenny helped our party from start to finish, walking us through the menu of fresh ingredients and varied flavors. They were courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and fast! Kudos to them for handling our order with care and accuracy. The food itself was stupendous. While nit new to Mediterranean food, this was in fact my first time here. I was pleasantly surprised by the smoke parking, sparkling interior and immaculate washroom. First time at Olive U. My friend invited me to grab a bite and hyped up how great the food is. He was not wrong and it exceeded expectations. Even more impressive is Michael and his staff. We were immediately greeted with enthusiasm and passion - not just for the brand but the clear desire to ensure a great experience. It was evident how Michael leads from the front - from his communication style, working the dining room with guests, to maintaining the cleanliness/professionalism of the restaurant. Stopped in here after a grounding but challenging tai chi class! The food is presented in a line (think chipotle) and each ingredient is fantastic! I bought a bowl, tried both kinds of rice, and enjoyed their Olive U Chicken and gyro along with various condiments. I also had their grape leaves with hummus-the hummus was savory and flavorful! The two types of rice have a bit of spice or kick that is an exciting taste on the palate. I think I was the first customer today and Jeff offered excellent service; he was so knowledgeable with the type of food. The ambiance is clean and cozy. The inside of the building and outside is well maintained and the plaza Olive U is located in is rather inviting. It looks newly developed. I definitely recommend this restaurant for timely Mediterranean fast food. Although their business concept may seem familiar their menu selection and quality of products takes them a notch above the rest. The are located in a fairly new busy plaza. Parking can be a challenge during certain times. That's because there are so many good spots in this plaza, like Ripe, Carmela Coffee, Warren, Joseph's Market and many more but I digress. This spot is bright and clean. Service was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Loved these flavorful clean eats. So delicious yet gives you that good for you feeling. This time I felt that it was just a little too expensive for what it is. The food was fine but nothing special. It's expensive if you get a side and a drink - or even just a drink other than water. I was happy they carried a cashew free baklava which is hard to find and I'm highly allergic to cashews. As for the babaganoosh it really needs help ,there used to be a restaurant in Boynton Beach owned by a Turkish guy whose mama was in kitchen making a banging babaganoosh I suggest finding this man and his mom .The falafel was good plenty of veggies but they could've added few more falafel balls . read more
