Underdone pizza -tried to bake it some more in the oven and this is how it looked. It was a mushy, chewy glob of dough and cheese. Usually the subs are good. Bread is good. I just can't keep supporting this place - maybe they should get new pizza ovens? Sadly we don't have many options in Liverpool. read more

We ordered from here while camping at Ferryboat Campgrounds. Got sandwiches. Meatball Parm, chicken parm, cheesesteak. The rolls they come on are baked in house which was surprising. Sandwiches were really good and prices weren't bad at all. read more

Supporting a local, family run business is EASY when they are as exceptional as Chris's OG Pizza. The food has a homemade taste with every dish and it's clearly made with love. The menu is what one can expect from a classic Italian/pizza joint but IMO their pizzas can't be beat. That crust Grateful to live so close to this absolutely delightful spot. With a seemingly non-Italian name in the middle of a small town in Pennsylvania, I was really set for this place to serve less than desirable pizza. Liverpool PA doesn't have many places to choose from, so we settled on the only pizza shop in town. Much to my surprise, this 70's-diner style pizza parlor was owned by a real Italian man, who settled in Liverpool. PA about 20 years ago. He was so friendly, and gave us special attention... because we were the only people in the restaurant on an early Saturday afternoon! BBQ Chicken and Pepperoni pizzas came out deliciously beautiful. The gumball machines and win-a-toy arcade games were fun to eyeball while we waited, too. If I ever wind up in this little town of Liverpool, PA ever again, I will definitely go back. read more

I have been ordering from Chris's pizza for years. Love this family owned business and their pizzas and subs!

Used to be a great place but the owners are getting too old to be working and it reflects poorly on the food. My last visit I ordered a large pepperoni with hot peppers and there was no pepperoni so when I called back for it to be fixed they said to give them 20 minutes and I can come pick up a fresh one but I needed to bring the old one back. Instead of greeting me with a fresh pizza the owner sal took my old pizza that has now been sitting for over 30 minutes and proceeded to just put the pepperoni on it raw and hand it back to me. I will not be returning to say the least. read more

We stoped in because it's the only place around for miles! My wife and daughter had pasta they both loved what they got. I had a turkey sub with provolone cheese. I like their sub rolls they are the homemade kind. Next time I would ask for my sub to be toasted. My stepfather has gotten pizza for here and he loves it. We stopped in yesterday after a friend recommended Chris's. When we placed our order, the girl who took it was super rude. Okay, whatever, no big deal- maybe she was just having a bad day. It was when we sat down and watched the same girl begin to make the food, without washing her hands, touching everything unclean (trashcan), she even picked up a couple pieces of cheese and pressed them on a couple burgers off the grill, AFTER handling raw meat. No, that was it; my husband and I looked at one another and just said "No, we aren't eating anything here. " I mean, she knew we were watching her and she still didn't even think about sanitation! So we wondered what we should do....we hadn't paid yet, should we just walk out? No, we are very polite people who believe in good etiquette and being friendly. So we decided to politely let them know we were not going to stay. When I called another staff member over, I just said "I'm sorry, we decided to leave." When he asked why, I hesitantly confessed "We were watching our food being made....she didn't wash her hands at all, and she's been touching very dirty things and we are just grossed out." I even said it quietly enough so as not to cause a scene. The other worker looked right at us and said "She's washed her hands several times back here." Um. Excuse me? No, we were watching her the entire time. At that point my husband, who is more blunt than I am, chimed in and said "No. She didn't. We're leaving," and we walked out. I am not the type of person to write reviews, (this is the first review I've ever written), but this seriously grossed me out. I went into this restaurant starving, and left with no appetite and nauseated. I'm sure their food is prepared fine when it's others making it. It was the super porky girl (sorry), brown hair. Can't vouch for how clean the other workers are, but if you show up and it's her making the food, RUN. read more

Oh god where do I begin. We have a vacation home about five miles from this place and over the past years we have put up with alot from this place ONLY because its the only sub/pizza shop in town. They tell you that your order will be ready in 30 minutes.it never is! I have waited a half an hour after arriving to pick up. Not to mention the hit and miss quality of the food. If there was another pizza shop in town this one would be out of business in a month. The owner is friendly enough but his wife is ridiculuos. Every time she takes a phone order its WRONG and its never her fault always the customer. Which brings us to our final straw and why we will never return and will tell all we know to STAY AWAY. We arrived on a friday afternoon, didnt call ahead because why bother, walked up to the counter and said we would like to place an order and the woman mumbled something and continued with her work. We were waiting to order for about 15 min when a woman walked in and her order was taken right away. I said what the hell and walked out!!!!!!!! I have had enough of this place.
