$20 to embroider my graduation stole is not worth the rude customer service I received! I found this place on Yelp and decided to give them a call. The guy that answered the phone was very sarcastic and passive aggressive. I had many questions and he did not seem to appreciate them. Me: "Do you do walk-ins?" Him: "No, we just do appointments. But I'm pretty occupied.... so..." Me: "I see. What hours are you available?" Him: "Well... when are you free?" We tried working out a time over the phone and he was pretty considerate about working around his personal schedule, but I wish he just gave me a general time frame to work with. I asked if 4 PM would be too late in the day to stop by and he responded "ummmm... yeah?". So sarcastic! After the strange phone call, I later texted him if it would take a while for the embroidery to finish. Would I just drop off my graduation stole and come back? or would it be done then and there? I had never gotten embroidery done before, so I had many questions. He responded "It will take less time than this conversation." How rude can you be? Over the weekend I reached out to Ken at Chris's Stitches to see if they could help me with a rush embroidery order for my business. I urgently needed some shirts for staff covering an event this week. Ken asked me to send over our artwork and he'd assess the job and potential to meet my turnaround. To my alarm, he told me our logo artwork quality wasn't very good. I even texted him pictures of the embroidery that Merchology had done on a very large order for us. He told me how poor their quality was - and just about an hour later he'd emailed me a "cleaned up" version of our artwork and made some nice touches to make our logo pop. He educated me on the thread count and how to improve quality without crazy price. Given my urgent needs, he said if I could supply the polos, he could do my embroidery same day! I knew I could get the shirts immediately (he could get them but would've been a days delay in shipping I didn't want to risk). I brought them in this morning and he actually put them into production while I waited! Quality was great. Good place. Came here to have some backpacks embroidered with initials for a groomsmen wedding gift. I fully expected it to take several days to complete, but Ken did it all right there and then in about half an hour. He was very helpful and clearly knows what he's doing. The price was good and he didn't seem to mind that it was such a small order (only a few backpacks). Definitely felt like a "mom and pop" style since it's operated from a trailer next to the house. That didn't bother me, though. Ken also seemed to be a somewhat taciturn man, though it could have just been the mood he was in at the time. This past weekend I showed up with a last minute project to embroider four pieces of cycling kit for the upcoming interbike trade show.
