I came across Shi at Shi is Beauty Studios and have been going to her ever since! Her hair care and styling skills are impeccable, and I have been satisfied ever since. She did an awesome job restoring my heat damaged and broken off hair. My hair has been thriving since she's been treating and styling my hair. I couldn't be more satisfied so I'm passing on this information for anyone who wants a similar experience. It also feels good to support both a woman of color and local business in the area. If you're in the Bronx, Westchester County, Parkchester, Clasons Point, Morris Park, Castle Hill and neighboring areas, please book an appointment for an awesome hair care experience. I paid my deposits for both of them and showed up at 11am sharp for my appt. I got my hair washed and i was out in the dryer with rollers while i waited for roxan. When my hair was dried, i got my makeup done and Roxan styled another client. After my makeup was done she styled my hair. She was honest about what would work and not work for my hair as my hair is very long but fine. And she added hair and things to make it look fuller. I left feeling beautiful and my son even called me a princess! It's now Sunday night and my hair is still intact, i don't want to undo it because i love it and have been sleeping with a bonnet and it looks exactly the same ! The makeup didn't budge at all until i washed it off. I will def be back for all future events. I loved the work and how convenient it was to get my hair and makeup done at the same location!

Service requested was wash and blow dry / rollers and trim but since I have a 4 year old she was not going to sit under a dryer, her appointment was for 11:15am we arrived 10 minutes prior, the appointment was booked with the owner Caroline and she greeted us and of course as any salon she was running behind no problem did not think it would of been the amount of time until my daughters appointment kept getting pushed back after she requested for her to have her hair washed and asked if I wanted her to get rollers put in and I kindly told her no so end result we waited 2 hrs 1/2 and in that time her hair had dryer on its own mind you her appointment was at 11:15am to be sat in her chair at 1:00pm a four year old having to wait all that time, ridiculous just to be charged $80 for wash dry and trim and no extras were added to this service no one especially not a child should have waited all that time. I would not recommend setting an appointment with this establishment if the time is not honored 2 1/2 hrs is blasphemy, overall service terrible customer care.

Remy even asked if the acrylic I already had on my nails glowed in the dark to ensure that she matched the acrylic colors perfectly . She did that. & the fill-in was only $45 which is less expensive than my actual nail tech (she's worth her pricing tho).

Usually gel manicure costs $35 but they charged me $10 to take my SNS powder off.

I loved the way my pedicure came out. Definitely 5 stars there but my manicure.. was a nah son for me. It seemed a tad bit sloppy as a few parts of my nail wasn't coated in polish. Nonetheless, I'll return for a pedicure!
