However, I want to focus on Bob Benfield, the greatest bus driver and quite possibly human being I have ever met. He drove for Bob Rogers Travel and I will put this review there as well. Bob puts his entire heart and soul in everything he does. He travels with mints in a basket, cold water and soda, which he wraps in paper towels for cold hands. He brought all the equipment needed to clean the whole bus. He travels with it. He has dad jokes a plenty but also vast knowledge of every place we passed. He drove through a terrifying snowstorm and we barely noticed. He's steady and pleasant no matter what, and this includes some creative city drivers. I was in the front seat and this man would see me take off my sweater and turn the temperature down. His life resumé is amazing and I could have listened to his life for hours. Simply the best person I have met. For Bob Benfield alone I give all his associated employers 5 stars.

The tour guide completely ignored the people in the seats in the back of the bus.The first 3 days…read moreshe didn't use the PA system even though she was repeatedly told her announcements couldn't be heard at the back of the bus. Answers to any "fun quizzes" were always acknowledged by the people in front though people in the back would indicate that they also knew the answer. Apparently she regarded any comments as complaints to the extent that she loudly announced to a full restaurant that " I can never satisfy them, they are always complaining". I had always heard positive reports regarding this company before purchasing a tour but NEVER again.

We finally got our chance through a Templeton Tours trip organized with Alliance Bible Fellowship. Templeton Tours provided an incredible, fabulous, step-by-step retracing of our Lord's ministry. Their tour was well organized, thoughtful, and worth every cent. Our guide and bus driver were Christians who offered a deep base of knowledge, expertise and a spiritual element. I absolutely loved seeing the filming spots, I even bought a t-shirt to remember this day! Talking to one of the employees, he said most of their visitors are Hunger Games fans. While I give this spot 5 stars for checking the "once in a lifetime" box, I really wish they would preserve this place a bit more. Katniss' house (building #16) was home to miscellaneous christmas decorations, random tools, and a birds nest. Also, it was so dark in there we had to get a flashlight out of our car. Genuinely, I would have loved to see this house as a close to movie accurate as possible, or even decorated with photos from the film featuring the location. I think this house would have been awesome as a mini museum (with replicated furniture, not actual movie pieces of course). I think this would bring in a lot of fans and spark up a lot of social media tourism with the new movie coming out. Now is the time! Again, absolutely awesome to see for any Hunger Games fan.

This was just a day trip for us and we spent a couple hours in town. We pulled up and found the nicest man who was willing to drive us around. The tour went all over town and started at the granite quarry and then around town learning about Andy Griffith. The cost was $50 for the ride (not per person). We loved hearing stories and our driver was willing to answer all our questions and keep us laughing all the way! This is a definite must do if I return again. Our group from our development signed up for a tour with this company in Dec 2016. Everything…read moreseemed ok. We were going to Asheville to see the Gingerbread House Exhibit at the Grove Park Inn. We were told our group would be picked up and make on stop to pick up the other group ( this was on the way) when we were on the bus that morning we were told we would be making 5 stops before we got there, so our 2-3 hr trip to the Grove Park Inn became a 51.2 hour bus trip, it was the same on the return. It is not right to tell people (a group of 24 people) that the trip would make on stop not 5. We would never of book this trip. I have since checked with other groups and this is not the way they do business. We would not recommend this group to be used. Our disappointment was never addressed except to say they were sorry for the misunderstanding that was not the case we were just not told....
