Mac and Cheese - at least 12 different ways! I've tried both the Buffalo Chicken Mac (#8) and Chipotle Mac (#12). Both were delicious and unique. The restaurant takes your order at a counter, makes your mac and cheese to order, and deliver to your table. Your meal is served in a skillet that is piping hot. The meal includes toasted bread which is also delicious. During both of our visits, MACS also offered 2 specialty recipes. The recent visit included Chili Mac (Chili, Fritos, Sour Cream) and Philly Cheese Mac (Philly Cheesesteak with green peppers and onions). Be sure to look at the signage on the door and register to determine additional options. The menu also includes salads and grilled cheese-type melts. I like this place, however I am cutting down the stars. Nice selection of mac & cheese tastes scrumptious. I've only gone on and taken at home. It was a fairly good time before I got it home. It still was hot. The minus stars is for the gal in the kitchen who was preparing food. She had long brown hair that was hanging down in her face, which would be over the food she was taking care of. Thank goodness there was none of it in my meal that I could tell. Please wear a hairnet or a hat over your hair. Be even better if you pulled it back in a ponytail. Just sayin'. read more

Pretty good! You order at the counter, and they bring your food out to you. Pretty casual and trendy. And the service was fine. The mac and cheese comes out hot and fresh in a cast iron skillet. It's solid mac and cheese, but nothing mindblowing. I've gotten their takeout before, but it's nowhere near as good as having it fresh in the restaurant. So if you can, dine in! read more

I am not usually a huge mac and cheese fan, so was initially a bit skeptical to try - but was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked my mac and cheese. I got the Popeye with mushroom and spinach. The noodles were not overcooked and the dish was not too heavy or rich. The provoke and mozz for it was perfect. The main criticisms I would have - I did not realize how small the regular size was compared to the big size (small a bit too small for me, but big size would def yield leftovers). Also the toppings are a bit sparse - I wish there were more mushroom, spinach, and onion on the top - it was borderline a bit too small amount to fairly described as "having mushroom and spinach" (forgot the pic) but next time I'll ask for extra topping. I also ordered the apple bacon salad with no bleu cheese, but got the bleu cheese anyway. The salad was otherwise good. So - a few misses in execution, but the most important part - the mac and cheese itself - is good - would def give this place another try. Would probably order the same small Popeye and a salad next time, but with extra Popeye toppings. read more

Great food with many options but avoid this location. It is clear the staff and management cannot handle lunch rushes or many orders. I ordered online and got my food 40 minutes after I was told it would be ready. After asking if they were working on it on two occasions, I was told their printer broke. I then watched people order and get food there before me, meaning that they were fulfilling orders in any random order. After others in the restaurant chimed in and told the staff I should get a refund, I was told they don't do that for online orders. I worked in food service for 6 years and consider myself more patient and polite than the average person but this was unacceptable. read more

Even better than I thought it would be! If you like a super rich mac and cheese, this place will satisfy you. The Good: There are at least 12 different combos that you can choose. Most have the same base, and vary by the toppings you choose. Anything from sauteed onions and spinach called The Popeye, to hotdogs, bacon, hash browns and onions with sriracha called The Hangover. The Bad: At first, you're going to think this is pricey. But if you purchase the Mac Daddys (large) size for around $10 you can take half home and have 2 meals quite easily. The large portions are generous and have FAR more mass than they look like they do. My suggestion would be to split a large between two people and you'll be quite happy. The Ugly: Ok... Seriously, I NEVER want to know the caloric content of the Hangover that I managed to finish for lunch. I feel like I should jog home. But seriously, this is a bolus of carbs and fat that is not an everyday meal. It does however make an amazing treat once in a while! The bottom line. I recommend trying this place. I just noticed this new restaurant a few weeks ago, I decided to give it a try today. I was not disappointed. I ordered the Loaded Baked Potato Mac and a soda. It came out to me without a long wait and it was PIPING HOT. Like, burn my mouth, even after blowing on it a minute, hot. It was really good, I really cant complain about it at all. Even the price, around $12, was not too bad, all things considered. I ended up filling up on it fast and even have a small portion leftover that I took home with me. (I am not at all sure that it will reheat well, cause its mac and cheese, but i'll try anyway) The two pieces of toast they stick in the mac is unexpectedly absolutely delicious. I really wanted more than 2 pieces....So I guess that would be a complaint, eh? More toast, please! I was confused about the dessert tho, under the desserts column on the menu board it only said chocolate chip cookie. But the board had pictures of cheesecake and ...uhh..something else, I forget. Before leaving, I asked the employee about it and she said they do, in fact, have the cheesecakes that are pictured. So.. i'm not sure why they are not listed. But...oh well. No cheesecake for me today Because of that. All in all. My food was: Hot, filling, tasty, and served in a nice clean establishment, by friendly employees. Great lunch special with Mac Buffalo chicken chips and drink only $5.99 and hubby got patty melt chips and drink for $5.99. Perfect size servings. It was my first time at this MACS location, but I knew what to expect since I've been to the GB location several times. To make it easy, at least twelve different kinds of gourmet macaroni and cheeses that's filled with tons of cheesiness and toppings. The location is a little smaller compared to GB, but has the same look out with fun wall decor of cows, cheese, and Wisconsin. I ordered the BBQ chicken mac, which I think is new. I loved the sweetness of the BBQ sauce, but wasn't a big fan of the onions on top. It wasn't terrible, but would have been better without them. My order was to go, and they give you those "Your table is ready" buzzers...but it didn't buzz. They just brought my food to me. Gotta say this place is pretty good. I ordered a regular Original which is cheddar and mozzarella. It comes in a hot skillet and topped with bread crumbs. I was expecting some typical mac and cheese but this is actually really good and a really good price. It was $6 for a fountain drink and my meal. They have lots of other flavors that look amazing. The taco mac is my favorite, and I haven't heard any bad reports of other menu options from any friends and family who've eaten at macs. They use thick spiral noodles so the dishes never seem mushy (my #1 pet peeve of Mac n cheese) and the food stays hot the whole time you're eating because they serve it in a cute iron skillet!
