I recommend all my friends to her, despite where they live. She is just that great. I even have people from Jersey travel to Queens to see her. This experience turned into a nightmare. I have never been afraid of dentists as I have generally had good experiences. I take very good care of my teeth, but for some reason, I suddenly needed two filler replacements and two onlays. This is the most amount of work I have ever needed. While I thought this was crazy, I went ahead with the replacements, because I was moving in 6 weeks to yet another city and my office trusted this dentist. The dentist did some of the work and then let his assistants work on my teeth. When I left I experienced quite a bit of pain. They told me to come back in for some adjustments. I was told I would be seeing a dentist. When I got there, the dentist said hello and then the assistant worked on my teeth. Again, I left and had pain. I was at the dental office every other day for a month trying to get "the adjustments" fixed so I wouldn't have pain. I have never had to get "adjustments". In my experience, dentists have gotten their work right the first time. My last experience was my final onlay. Again after the onlay was put in I had to get adjustments done cause I couldn't chew without pain. The assistant working on my tooth didn't numb me. She drilled away hitting a nerve. I screamed in pain and tears rolling down my cheeks. I kept telling her it hurt. She said, "I know. I am sorry. I am almost done." It took nearly 3 months for the nerve pain to go away from that tooth. Another tooth continues to bother me. The dentist told me he drilled close to the nerve. He then told me, in 3 months if I still have pain I will need a root canal. Well it has been 5 months. I still can't chew on the right side of my mouth. Why the "F" do I need a root canal after seeing this dentist. I didn't need one before! I didn't even have problems with my teeth before going to this dental office. This dental office also had the audacity to bill me once more after I moved. After they told me I had everything settled. Two months after I moved, they told me my insurance wouldn't cover EVERYTHING. Awesome.. since when I was there they told me my insurance company would pay up to this and this amount. I paid the hefty remaining balance. In any case, I am now in another city... still in pain with no dental insurance and deathly afraid to see another dentist (I didn't have a fear of dentists before). I never want to experience this kind of pain again, both physically and financially.

This came at a time where I needed major dental work as I was losing my four front teeth. My dentist recommended Dr Scott Danoff who went to same top dental school. Needless to say, I was extremely hesitant and extremely unhappy about changing dentists. My first visit went well. The office was new, modern, clean; the front office personnel very pleasant. Dr Danoff took his time in hearing my history and proceeded to examine me. He discussed in detail, the options I had in a warm and professional manner and informed me what the procedures would cost. He sent me home to think things over and was responsive to my calling with questions. Once a decision was made as to how I choose to proceed, we made another appointment to start taking action. Again, most happy with his chair-side manner. I also spent some time with his financial person who gave me all the time I needed to clarify costs. The big day was just this past Thursday. I don't think a more sad and nervous patient ever walked into his office. His dental assistant was lovely and tried to reassure me that everything would be okay, but it was really falling on deaf ears. Dr. Danoff explained what I was going to feel and hear in preparation for the removal of my four front teeth. He gave me a few shots (done really well) and I requested some "gas". I put some Guns and Roses on my headphones and before I knew it he told me my teeth were "out". I laughed, not believing him. "No way ", I said. He insisted so I believed him. He stitched me up (still not feeling a thing) and worked with me and my bridge until I was comfortable and he was happy with the bite. Within an hour I was home and by evening time was feeling pretty darn good considering I had four teeth pulled that day. I spoke with Dr Danoff that evening, followed his post procedure instructions and here I am less than 48 hours later, doing really great! I wholeheartedly recommend Dr Scott Danoff. I trusted him with my four front teeth and he did not disappoint in any way. After 20 years I have a dentist nearby and I could not have been referred to a better one! 5 stars.
