I was blown away by how busy they were on a random Thursday! (In a great way) I had to wait a few minutes but not long at all! The manager, Kevin, swept in and told me he'd be taking care of me because he didn't want me waiting any longer. Little did I know, that he would make my first time back so special and one I'll never forget. Kevin and his nail technicians made me feel so welcomed, so relaxed, so comfortable- everyone was really kind and adamant on taking care of not just me, but everyone at the salon. Knowing that Kevin was the owner and already feeling so comfortable- I immediately trusted him in what I envisioned for my nails. I showed Kevin a photo of the simple almond shaped nails I wanted- He said he could do those easily and quickly to get me in and out of there! He did so and in fact, 1000 times better than what I asked for. My nails looked exactly like the photo. Kevin knows what he's doing - He went on to chat with me during my appointment, tell me about his business, and even show me the tools and equipment they use at the shop that are HIS OWN BRAND I was blown away and felt honored to be getting my nails done by the OWNER himself Especially due to the fact he doesn't usually work on clients himself and is more so focused on running the business + providing support to his nail technicians as a whole. Needless to say, I reassured Kevin I'd be back and I couldn't thank him enough for the nails he blessed me with in SUCH a short amount of time. Kevin and every one of his nail techs at Nails of America Memorial, knows exactly what they are doing and will make sure your experience is incredible each and every time you visit them. Went back today and blown away- yet again!

We came in and entered with the sign outside saying Nails of America, no notices or signs about change in ownership. We received our services and went to pay with our gift cards. At that time, I was told they could no longer accept our gift cards because they had changed ownership. I referenced the sign on the door and they told me I should have checked Google. I can walk there, why would I check Google? We went round and round. They asked if I had receipts for the gift cards that people had given my daughter. Ultimately I paid and left. I shared this info with my friends and multiple people have been able to use their nails of America gift cards since then. So I called today to try and see if they wanted to make it right. When the person that answered the phone did all she could do, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager told me she was so very sorry but they could not accept my gift cards. I explained the entire situation and told her that they are not consistent and have not changed their signs or posted any notices that they are under new ownership. The fact that I was refused and two friends had different results in the same week is horrible. The manager then told me that they have made two complete staff changes since then so she had no control over it. This business has horrific unethical business practices and will not survive in this area if they aren't going to be customer service focused and replace entire staff twice in two months. They cannot possibly keep quality technicians and cleanliness for long with this type of management. Join me in avoiding this horrible business. There are many other ethical salons to try.

While the economy is turning to shit, the only thing at least giving me some type of self care is getting pedicures and MAYBE a manicure. However, Milano just disappointed me in ways I didn't think could. Especially for a chain salon. I'm simple. I don't need designs. So if you're going to offer $30 simple pedicures and $25 manicures, I pray and hope it's still decent enough for me to come back. Not enough people speak up when it comes to getting a service done, but I did. I had Tina doing my pedicure. What I thought was wonderful, actually turned out to be terrible. It's like the before and during process were just fine, except when it came to the final product, she literally left streaks on my toes. I understand it was a Classic Pedicure, but that still doesn't excuse a shoddy job. For a $30 pedicure, I could go back to my regular nail tech and there won't be any streaks. Yvonne did my manicure. And after she had told me she was done, I look at my hands and realized she also left streaks on my fingers. Not enough coating. Or too much coating. She had to do my finger 3 times. She had to wipe away, paint 3 times, give it 3 coats and still, for some reason, it still smudged. The coating was just too thick. She even had to tell me that she had to do it 3 times. If it was done right the first time, she wouldn't have to tell me she had to do it more than once. Like hello? She was also on her phone talking. Multitasking. Look, I get it, but damn. Unprofessional. AirPods while talking the phone, and painting my nails. She even sprayed my toes and hands for a faster drying process and it still ends up smudged. I'm disappointed that even for $30 pedicure and a $25 manicure, I would at least get a decent service. Not a, "you get what you pay for" service. I should've know better. My fingers still smell like polish. The vigorous handwashing is coming. Pictures speak for themselves, even after speaking up. UPDATE: 4/20/2026 I called back, as they response asked politely to directly call back. While the person in charge for the day, answered. She stated that any classic service does not have any warranty. So she offered 15% a future service. I politely decline because, 15% is nothing compared to the end result I paid for. And second, it's good to know that my claim of "you get what you pay for" still stands. As you can't even get a "warranty" to fix your nails even though the tech did a bad job. There's no point is trying to have self care, even at the lowest price point, because you literally will get what you pay for. $30 for classic with bare minimum results.

Even though I've moved to Chicago, this is still "home" whenever I'm back in town -- no other salon has earned my loyalty the way they have. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming. They offer cocktails (and cookies!) while you're being pampered, and there are hundreds of polish colors to choose from. Around the holidays, the Christmas décor is next level -- festive, classy, and such a fun backdrop for self-care. The owners, Loc and his wife, always make me feel like family, and their warmth sets the tone for the whole salon. My favorite nail tech, Ainsley, puts so much attention and care into every set -- she's the one I trust to keep my nails flawless. King Royal Nails is the kind of salon you don't just go to -- you belong to it. Five stars all the way.

Coming in, I was greeted by the guy at the front desk. Super nice and let me walk in on a Sunday evening. It wasn't busy but also not fully staffed. So everyone was occupied with a client. I get in the pedicure chair and wait for a bit. My feet are soaking in the water for probably almost 10 min. So I'm sure it's good enough. Here's where it just goes down hill. My nail tech was nice at first but throughout the service, I could just tell the job was going to be bad. After my feet had been soaking, he noticed leftover polish and instead of using polish remover, he used the buffer so hard on my big toe, that it broke my skin the second toe and it bled. I literally told him to stop and he said "oh have you been bleeding?" Like hello? He goes over to the right leg was about to buffer again and I said "stop". I ask him to use something else. The paint job? Oh my. Pictures will speak for itself but gosh glad it wasn't a premium service. He didn't even put the spacers on correctly. The lady next to him had to help me get a bandaid because he didn't give me one. Just dabbed neosporin. Never in my life had I ever had a bad nail job. I did speak up but it's just not enough to come back. The tech was already ignoring proper procedures.

I found this place, briefly checked them out and stopped by. I needed a gel pedicure. A young lady serviced me, did not get the name. I was not offered what types of pedicures were available, my feet weren't even in the water for 5 mins, she cut my toenails dry, filed them after they were cured, and handled my feet very roughly. I waited until I paid to voice my concerns and as I was speaking she literally turns away and starts speaking to the only other employee. Extremely rude and this by far was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. This was a hole in the wall and I got hole in the wall service. Nothing about the service was Glamorous.
