I wanted to update my review because…read morehonestly, I don't think I fully appreciated back then - when I wrote my original review how much Mellicia has helped me over the years at different times and stages of my life. Because Mellicia knows me, my style, and what I like, we don't have to start over each time I reach out. She's helped me over the years refine what we started together back in 2014 - sometimes my priorities or budget is different, sometimes my size and situation is different, but she gets it - she knows that that's how life is - and is always helpful AND supportive as she gives me these bursts of inspiration and guidance. Over the years, I've gone back for updated wishlists, closet edits (I choose to have her help me configure new outfits with what's in my closet in that moment - it's been so helpful to have a gallery of options on my camera roll for busy mornings) or the occasional one-off help with something specific for an event. All of these combined services that I can choose from takes the overwhelm out - it's like a menu of services that can be curated. Choosing from those services helps me cut through the noise and create options that just work for whatever situation I find myself in that feel and work just for ME, not just what's trending - and that's always been so important because I value my personal style, that she's helped me find! I've also really loved being part of her online community (Continuum) this past year - I'm so glad I've got access to this group, which is basically a wonderful community of women who share shopping and styling ideas, inspiration, gift ideas, tips and tricks - there are even moments to connect monthly live - as we put the tools and guidance that Mellicia has taught us all into practice with each other - it's like a force multiplier! It's been quite unexpected how valuable it's been. What I think I appreciate most - is that working with Poplin has never felt like just a one-time styling service, which is what I've experienced before with other stylists. Working with Mellicia feels like a genuine relationship - honestly, I can go a couple of years without checking in, and then come back for a little refresh, and we just pick up where we left off - like an old friend that gets you! Mellicia always meets me in the moment I'm in with zero judgment - and I'm so grateful. Looking back, this investment over the years in ME has been soooo worth it! Even before we met, Christine and Colton were incredibly thoughtful and attentive in their work to understand me and my wardrobe needs so that by the time they went in for the edit, I had total trust in them. I was specifically wanting help weeding out things that were no longer age appropriate now that I'm in my mid-thirties -- they did that and helped me identify styles and silhouettes that are flattering and not too young or too old for me. I've felt great wearing these new looks and have been getting tons of compliments ever since I did the wardrobe edit. Since I have a limited budget for clothes, I was a little concerned that I would come away feeling frustrated that I couldn't afford to update my closet according to their recommendations. Cuniform isn't just personal styling, it's also a course in lifestyle development, in adulting, frankly. Their approach is both responsible and refreshingly straight forward without a trace of elitism; they are truly devoted to revolutionizing their client's personal culture to save the environment, promote ethical labor practices, and create amazing daily "uniforms" for all the roles in your life. And there's no woo-woo crunchiness about it; they'll gladly deliver a succinct and powerful manifesto about the wastefulness of fast fashion, and cite substantive experience, reading and research to support it and their solutions. I have felt a change for the better in my life. Seriously. Their dual commitment to ethical business and efficacious organization creates a sustainable, recyclable wardrobe model that feels like it is creeping into the rest of my life. It's an amazing experience to feel the goals in your life uplifted by the clothes you wear. (Unburdened, I should say, from the ridiculous cost that might usually accompany a make-over; after asking them I found out that these two work with an astonishing dynamic range of budgets.) My only regret from this workshop is that I didn't take it SOONER! I work in Corporate Finance for a Fortune 100 company. My goal is to stay on the "fast track" and work my way into a C-suite position. Kim's workshop is designed for individuals who are serious about moving to the next level in life. She provided excellent pre-work/homework to get us to narrow down the qualities we want to most portray, such as "leadership, compassion, influence, or vibrancy/energy" to name a few. Then, we spent the workshop talking in-depth about these qualities and how to incorporate them into a "physical appearance" or personal style. Kim's workshop was top-notch and excellent. If you're looking to the "push limits" of your style and brand and/or be fully who you were designed to be, I'd highly recommend working with Kim Peterson. She's knowledgeable, passionate, and a true "champion" of people. I won't ever regret this investment.

I hate shopping. My stress level goes through the roof when I am in the racks or in the dressing room. Wendy made the experience a lot of fun -- and I walked away with great items -- from Marshall's no less -- that I would have never bought on my own. Wendy is an expert at body shape and color coordination and how it relates to clothing and accessories. When something doesn't work in the dressing room, Wendy hits the racks while you relax until you find something that works -- or move onto the next store. For casual work wear, she steered me into v-neck tops (I've always been exclusively crew neck) that my wife absolutely adores. I picked up some dress shirts and pants as well. Wendy then helped me floss my closet and clean out all the clothes that no longer fit or are no longer hip (I've been holding onto some business attire since the mid 90's). Wendy's specialty is women, though I've seen two other men whom she's dressed and they look fantastic as well. She also offers compassionate and empowering advice and moral support to people exploring their gender identity. For a good friend, having Wendy by her side was just the courage boost she needed as she walked into the women's section for the very first time. Talk about a life changing referral.
