The only reason I gave her a 4/5 stars is because I had specifically asked for my Mini Australian Shepherd to not be shaved down and I picked her up shaved. I used to work alongside dog groomers, so I know first hand why Australian Shepherds (double-coated dogs) should not be clipped super short. For me, it's not a risk I want to take with my dogs. Camper looks super cute, but I'm hoping that her hair grows back how it should. Thankfully, so far there's no serious signs of coat damage. I will likely give her another chance before going elsewhere.

She texted me to let me know she'd be late and was 23 minutes late. I had discussed on the phone when I made she had called to change my apt time that our dog had matting in a few spots and we were overdue by 2 months on grooming bc our groomer had moved and we were in the process of finding a new one. When she got to our house she felt him and looked at him and agreed there was matting and she may need to cut some of them out, which I agreed would be fine. 15 min later she called me to say she would need to shave his hind end, and chest but would leave the back and rest. She did not mention that this would add time or costs. The apt time ran over by 45 minutes. When my dog came out he was fully shaved head to toe. Michelle said he had the worst matting she had ever seen, which I disagree with. We've had him brushed out many times with matting and the other groomer normally cuts out what she needs to. Michelle then tried to Up charge me $100 for her extra hour of time. (Which was only 45 minutes). I didn't know she was doing a full body shave. She didn't tell me she would be charging more before hand, and when I tried to ask why, knowing that the service I requested and booked cost $115 on her website, she told me that her costs online didn't apply to my dog. Those prices were for different breeds like labs. Since the website didn't state that information, and she didn't explain that before hand, how was I to know?? She said "usually it would be $200 but it'll be $300 for my extra hour." ($100 for her extra time). I've never been charged so much for our dog before. I tried to ask her why the prices online didn't apply and why she wouldn't have mentioned that before hand when I booked the apt and she immediately cut me off and said, "I'm not doing this, if you don't give me my money now, I'll call the cops." It was very aggressive and unprofessional. She wouldn't discuss the pricing at all. I was in total shock and disappointed in how she handled having a conversation. We won't ever use her again and I would not recommend her to anyone. I feel like Michele was scamming us and knew if she told us that the matting was bad it made her look like she deserved the upsurd amount she wanted to charge us.

Some prices are a bit high, though, even for this goblin. All in all; Decent place to hit up.

When I returned I found that the owner shaved all of her hair off. I was in shock so I asked her why she did that. She was visibly angry and said the dogs hair was matted. I had brushed the dog before I came in but apparently it wasn't enough. I don't understand why the owner didn't just call me and explain the problem. I would have taken my dog home and worked on brushing her hair so that there were no mats. Instead the owner took out her frustration on me and my dog. I will never use her again.
