HOW does this company not have 5 Stars??!!! After reviewing their site and seeing such great holiday decorations I decided to place my first order. I'll fast-forward to say the entire experience was superb!! First I called their customer service line to inquire on their pre-lit wreaths. I was on hold for about 30 seconds. The rep answered my questions and made me feel more secure. I placed my order, immediately received an emaiconfirmation, and got a tracking number within 2-3 days. The packages arrived within a week. Upon initial inspection I quickly realized they've got quality products. This isn't your Lowe's or Home Depot stuff people! Unfortunately as I opened up the box of wreath decorations I noticed one of the ornaments broke during shipping. I quickly called, spoke to a rep who took my info and created a ticket. I was even able to submit a picture via email to show the damage. I was told I would hear back from someone shortly. Being a bit skeptical I thought I'd never hear back and would have to go back and forth but I'm very happy to report that was not the case. I got an email about 5 biz days later advising a new ornament was being shipped and a tracking number was provided. If you're looking for quality holiday home decorations look no further. Please be aware that many of their light strands require vampire plugs. At the time of purchase, this was not obvious on the product description. I brought this to their attention in various emails. It was only after I posted negative reviews (since amended) that they offered to take action. However, their communication has been quick and the shipping was fast. I've been a Christmas Designers customer for a few years. When I upgraded my lighting a couple of years back to the very vibrant C7, faceted bulbs, my house was the center of attention. When the wind knocked out my internet and my recent order didn't go through because of the wind storm. I called in and explained what happen the day before with Ms Loretta Neely in customer service. Since I hadn't received confirmation of the order. The sale was over and gone. Being sympathetic she took the time to ask management if they would take what happened into consideration. So. even though it was a time consuming pain they took the time re-processing the special C7 Twinkling lights for my display upgrade and gave me the deal. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I placed an order for lights on Thanksgiving morning. As we misplaced sets of our Christmas lights. But we found them so Thanksgiving evening I sent a message to them through their confirmation email to please cancel the order. Sent a 2nd message to add the order #. 4 days later a package shows up. Called them explained what had happened. The girl apologized for not catching the message and sent my a return shipping label. Never said a word about changing me return shipping. I now receive and email telling me they are refunding me and are deducting shipping charges of 13.20$ from my order. Bs. Now I have to go to my bank and let them fight this out. I am thrilled to have FINALLY found LED lights that have the beautiful warm glow of incandescent lights. I bought 2 strands of the conical warm white lights (PRY-WAC-704-28WW) to see how I liked them. The combination of the color and the shape of the bulbs is the closest match to the traditional incandescent white mini lights I've ever seen. Side by side, you can see a slight difference in color between these LEDs and an incandescent strand but not in an unpleasing, dramatic way like LEDs I've tried in the past. I love that they are dimmable so I can get the exact brightness I want. (In the picture above, these were not dimmed.) The lights seem to be very well made and and I love the coax connection to make them weatherproof and to give a cleaner look when connecting multiple strands together. I'm getting ready to order 20 more strands of these with the 4 inch spacing so we can finally have nice-looking LED lights outside next Christmas season. I've spoken to customer service a couple times and they are knowledgable, pleasant and professional. I highly recommend these lights and doing business with Christmas Designers. read more

I really like their product, but I am only giving one star because of the customer service. I ordered lights back in August to take advantage of a sale. Everything came in like it should have and on time. the issue is, that I didn't look anything over until recently when I put the lights on my house. only to find out that the lights were a yellow color and that is not what I thought I had ordered. I ordered the same color as I did the year before which was the warm white bulb. After calling them to see what happened. I found out that there are different colors of warm white but the web site does not really tell you that very well. since it's been over 30 days they refuse to allow me to exchange them. I tried to explain that I'm not going to put lights on my house in August, so I was I supposed to know they weren't the right color? I wasn't even allowed to speak to a manager to ask for a one time pass for an honest mistake. Now I'm stuck with over $500 worth of bulbs I do not like. Very frustrating. Especially since all I asked for was an exchange and not a refund. read more

I ordered a few sets of lights online and ordered 2 strands too many, then was approved for a return. I knew I'd pay return shipping but it was a tiny box and very light so I expected shipping cost would be like $5. NOPE they deducted $14.46 for return shipping, saying that it also charged for a FedEx pickup. Which - spoiler alert - I dropped it off myself! WTF guys. Stay away! Christmas Designers purchases cheap Chinese lighting, marks up the price, and then tries to pass it off as 'commercial' gear. Don't be fooled. Their lights arrived at my house in shrink-wrapped bags and didn't even have a company name on them. I should have trusted my instincts and sent them back immediately, but sadly I didn't. I purchased 18 sets of icicle lights and 4 of the sets failed within two weeks -- that's a 22% failure rate. And when those four strings failed, they prevented all of the other lights from working. With such a high failure rate, I asked Christmas Designers to replace all of them. (My house is large enough that I use a lighting installer, so there was no way that I was going to pay someone to install the remaining 14 sets on my house again.) Christmas Designers offered replacements, but only for the four failed strings, and worse yet, they wanted to replace them with a different style/different color product. Dealing with Christmas Designers on the phone and through email was painful. I eventually filed a complaint with the Dallas BBB, and they weren't even able to help. My complaint is unresolved there so you can look up the complete transcript. If you are looking for true commercial lighting, then certainly find another dealer. If you're just trying to outfit your house, then you're much better off buying from Home Depot or Lowes and getting name-branded lights from Sylvania or GE. At least if you have an issue with their products, you know the store manager will take care of you and you won't have trouble finding exact replacements. If you do decide to buy from Christmas Designers, you should strongly consider only using those lights outdoors. I'm an electrical engineer by trade, and to me, these unbranded Asian lights are built with the lowest quality materials and workmanship that they can possibly get away with. I didn't check the UL marks but I wouldn't be surprised if they were counterfeit. Even if the UL marks are valid, these lights are not something I'd want to use around the more combustible materials you typically have indoors. read more

I was searching to multi-color twinkle christmas lights and I am happy I found the Christmas Designers website. I have an artifical christmas tree with 300 solid white lights. The addition of the 70 multi-color twinkle lights really adds a much need festive holiday look to the tree. Shipping was fast and the lights look very well made, solid wiring and secure bulbs. I don't even know where to start with the service I have received and the issues that I am still dealing with. I wanted to like this company, I wanted to have a longstanding business relationship with this company. Unfortunately because of their downfalls it isn't even possible. My first contact with them was not in a positive light(pun intended). I emailed the "face" of the company and asked a simple question only to get a reply back stating that I could not get a wholesale account. Wait what? That wasn't even my question I wanted to buy products as a professional light installer and had specific product questions. Jason did apologize for his lack of response to my questions and connected me with Chad. Chad has been awesome and has answered every question that I have asked of him. He has helped me when no one else was willing to. I cannot say the same for everyone else that I have encountered. Both the customer service staff and the billing staff have been rude on the phone. I have been just cut off and hung up on 3 times now. My issues have included placing orders and paying for expedited 2 day shipping only for the order to still be sitting in the "processing" status 4 days later. To their credit, after an email to Chad, I was contacted to say that they were short of one of my items and that is why my order was not shipped. They then shipped me a different agreed upon item without an upcharge. Unfortunately this caused me to have to tell a customer that I did not have their items on the day that their installation was scheduled. Besides the abrupt and brash attitudes that I have experienced by the majority of the people that I have been in contact with at Christmas Designers I am still waiting on a refund for an order that was cancelled 10 days ago. Their response "accounting will get to it when they can". I am sorry but when a company charges you for an order that was cancelled immediately, at their direction, then sits on your refund for 10 or more days (remember this order is still in limbo and shows a status of "processing" not cancelled) that is simply poor business practice and management. For small business owners our cash flow dictates our continued success. I really hope that they get it together. I really wanted to do business with Christmas Designers, I wish this company the best and hope that management can iron out the issues. Our supplier (a different company) in Idaho communicates regularly, immediately tackles any shipping or ordering issues and does it all with great customer service and Joyful staff.
