Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, we asked a young man for help and he gave us so much information on tree types and what the differences are. All the staff were really great, which added to the magic. While we did not partake, it was lovely in the barn where you could make your own wreaths, there was a station for writing letters to Santa, and hot chocolate. Easiest Christmas tree selection process we've ever had…read more.. We pulled up to the farm and found a bunch of beautiful, full, fresh cut trees of all sizes. We had the lot to ourselves before two other families showed up. We found our tree after looking for about 10 minutes (we actually found a few a we liked in that small span of time!) Their sign described what to do and listed Curt's number if we needed any assistance. Curt actually came down to assist another customer with a larger tree, seems like a very cool guy! He can wrap your tree if needed and also sell tree stands. Will definitely be back next year!

As of…read morethe yesterday (the day after Thanksgiving), the tallest trees there were only about 6 feet, but you get the pick of the entire farm. Basically, they hand you a saw and cart, and they might guide you to where you might find a specific type of tree (we passed Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, Blue Spruce, and White Pine). All trees, regardless of size or type, are $40, including tax. Traveling to the tree farm was a good adventure, but we probably won't go again, mainly because I think we'll be able to find at least the same quality trees closer to DC. If you're close, though, it's a good place to get a tree.

We drive up from Parkville, and it takes us longer to get there( about 45 mins.) than it does to hike to the White Pine area . They always let you glean /clean up the left behind branches from trees not cut to ground level. And, the tree is cut up for mulch/flower bed cover until April, when it is put thru our chipper....and the lower trunk is saved to be burned on the next Christmas Eve... Looking forward to our ride up and the picking out of a GREAT tree....

It wasn't too busy and we were able to spend all the time we needed finding the perfect tree. Tips- bring some gloves and a measuring tape! They will provide you with a saw, a cart to carry the tree, and twine to put the tree on your car. Also, sign up for their emails and you'll get updates on what they have available as well as a coupon! We had our tree from Nov 26-Jan 5 and it stayed fresh and beautiful the entire time!

2019 Season not worth going…read more My family and I have come here a few times over the years and a couple years ago had good experiences. In 2018 we tried to come in December ~6-10ish, and found the farm closed as they'd sold out of available trees. We chalked it up to our being a bit later in the season. This year we're here Saturday after Thanksgiving and the place is barren and the majority of trees near the shed are gone. The prices have gone up again too. Apparently last year they were $85 for up to 6' (and $10/ft over 6 foot) and this year they're $95. A couple of years ago they were $75 and the trees weren't this ratty looking. We enjoyed the scenic drive and got a good walk out of it, but we'll be hitting up a tree lot on the way home where we can get nicer trees for less. If you want some outdoorsing, this isn't a bad option, but for a tree I would go elsewhere. Edit to add: I can appreciate based on the owner's response to my comment that the tree farm has had issues with disease decimating their stock, and that is unfortunate, but my husband called the farm before we headed out there to ask what the supply was like, and this was not mentioned at all by the lady answering the phone.

They had a nice variety of cone flowers. Prices seem to be decent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They had perennial hibiscuses, very healthy looking hydrangea varieties, lavenders, clematis, elephant ear plants and a good collection of other sun and shady perennials along with annuals. Found the most pretty looking sedum plant, forgot to buy it though. All plants looked healthy. They were selling proven winners brand too.
