I'm not sure what crawled up the arses of the people who left bad reviews for this doctor as he's a super nice guy. Not arrogant at all. Not a jerk. If something bad happened and you were mistreated then of course tell your story and I'll agree with you but I just don't have the same view of this guy. Dr Charbonette was nothing short of friendly, attentive, he was a good listener, and he seemed caring at my first appointment with him. He explained more about my diagnosis than anyone else has thus far. He showed me on the model and explained in great detail what our game plan would be and gave me options. The procedure went great. I am pleased thus far. It's an ongoing thing so we will see how it all goes but so far I have confidence in this doctor. Keep in mind pain management doctors are here to help you to manage your pain and that should include trying to diagnose and treat the source of the pain. Not to simply mask the pain by taking narcotic pain meds. Many of us who have multiple illnesses with chronic pain do not take these types of pain meds. Most doctors will not prescribe new patients narcotic pain medication especially now with the declared opioid epidemic. Unless it's a dire situation or for surgery. And rightly so. So, before you look to pain management doctors for this type of resolution you should ask yourselves whether you actually wanna be pain free or whether you are self medicating for another reason. That is my opinion. And I am a sufferer of chronic pain.

They don't care about the patients, are not friendly, are not gentle, ignore patients, talk about patients in mean ways outside of the curtains so that the patients can hear. One of them was making fun of a mentally ill person loud enough for all of us to hear. RUBY is a terrible person. Each time I've been in the ER, she never smiles and she is aggressive and talks down to patients. Meanwhile she is outside of the curtains singing so so so loud and listening to music on her phone and dancing with other nurses. Two of the male doctors there have no empathy and are also rude and gaslight patients. I will never ever ever go back to this hospital. The paramedics had to BREATHE for me recently because I had anaphylaxis and my lips were turning blue. I was convinced I was going to pass away. The male dr working that day told me it was a panic attack. It was the scariest thing I've ever gone through. My oxygen level was at 80 and that was after I had oxygen. That dr made a joke about how my heart rate went up after I saw him. I was traumatized and he was making inappropriate jokes. Whoever is hiring the staff here should be absolutely ashamed. The nurses leave elderly folks to suffer when they are trying to get a blanket, etc. Even when this place isn't busy, so many of the nurses ignore patients completely. Ruby wanted to stick a patient who OD'd in back room when she was unconscious. Thank god one of the nurses told her that the patient could die and that they needed to monitor her and Ruby was arguing with her about it. Amy and Ruby were talking about drama and Amy made a joke to me about the person next to me in a bed being crazy. Terrible people. The absolute worst. One time I was at the hospital with appendicitis and they left me in the most excruciating pain for EIGHT hours. When I asked a major nurse for a cup of ice he THREW it at me and rudely said "THERES YOUR ICE". One of the Drs said if I would've been out there for a few more minutes I would've gone septic. I wonder how many patients here get sicker or pass away from NEGLECT. Do NOT go here. Believe me. Go anywhere else. Do yourself the biggest favor and never bring any of your loved ones here. They will be treated like they are the scum of the earth. I would rather stay home during an emergency than go here. Also, upon arriving, I was anaphylactic and the woman was trying to take a picture of my heart immediately upon getting into the ER. They didn't m on oxygen or anything. I had a shot of epiphedrine that my mom gave me so the adrenaline had me shaking and the woman trying to take a photo of my heart was YELLING AT ME TO STOP SHAKING. She yelled at me about eight times when I couldn't breathe at all. Thank god someone finally took me back when my lips were completely swollen from the potentially deathly reaction I was having! Also, Dr. Sarah Harrington (gyno) shows up to work 2-4 hours late every day. The waiting room is full so full of patients so you have to potentially wait for several more hours before being seen!!! They double book patients. If you go here, pack a lunch and a dinner. You'll be here all day. I don't even know how this is legal. If you care about your well-being, your health, your life... don't come here.

He's brilliantly smart and truly works with his patients as an advocate to leave no stone unturned in getting to the source of their pain. In every single one of our encounters he has gone so far above and beyond what was expected, because he genuinely cares. Truly, there's nothing else one could ask for in a medical practitioner. Also, Priscilla at the desk is an absolute gem. This office runs so smoothly and is perfectly streamlined when it comes to making appointments and scheduling procedures. Overall, I got to visit a few areas and I was in good hands. I got a prompt CT scan, X-ray, and had my arm put into a split since I had broken my wrist. I also received a laundry list of meds and got sent home within a couple of hours. The hospital nurses + techs were all wonderful and professional. I def felt like I was being well taken care of. The front office wasn't pushy when I told them I'd call about my insurance info (I couldn't find it on my phone since I've gone digital) and they were nice enough to lend me an outlet to charge my mobile device while waiting for my final discharge. Just a couple minor blips: I had to return to pick up my CD of the Xray and CT scans. One of the nursing assistants had promised to give it to me but she forgot it. Also, she forgot to give me my pain meds (must've been a sleep-deprived day for her), but my main nurse practitioner who treated me was fantastic and he was empathetic and very on top of things. I'm glad I got to go back to the Radiology department actually. Otherwise, I prob would never have known that Dignity is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Yes, this historical hospital opened its doors back in 1926. Inside, it's absolutely gorgeous, bright, and clean. There's a grand piano and robot coffee machine in the main lobby (it was down when I visited, but cool to see). The decor inside was also neat with a mini bonsai garden, glass wall sculptures, and they even had old school TV shows in B&W downstairs in the radiology department. It was a classic throwback vibe to their original opening date. It was nice to visit, just hope I don't need to come back anytime soon.

This Facility and its Staff are so Outstanding that I am half-tempted to Gate Keep how Wonderful…read morethey are, lest they become too Overpopulated with this Review. In Los Angeles, you have to pretty much roll up Dead or Close to Dead for anyone in Urgent Care/ Emergency/ ICU to even Talk to you. I Legit called 911 at the Request of my Friends and Family who live Outside of L.A., (where Doctors and Nurses actually take a look at you before you Kick the Bucket) and the Paramedics told me they would basically be an Expensive Uber while I Wait Forever since my Head was not Bleeding Out. Thanks to the world of Yelp Reviews, (and my Intimate Knowledge of L.A. County) I found the Sanctuary that is Providence Saint Joseph's in Burbank, open 24-7. No Sooner had I handed the Admissions Nurse my Registration (my Rear literally landed for 2 Seconds on my Comfy Seat in a very Sparsely Populated ) than another Nurse called me into a Room with a Doctor overseeing from his Computer. They took my Vitals and ran a Preliminary Diagnostic within minutes before I was promptly sent to get my Bloodwork done. I didn't even have time to Sit before I was called in for my Bloodwork, which was over and Done with Lickety Split before sending me back to my Comfy Chair back in the Lobby. This is where the actual Waiting happened, where as I was told by the Hematologist would take the Lab about 1.5 hours to get the Results. Fortunately, having experienced the Nightmare that is an L.A. Emergency Room on one other occasion, I brought a Book. By the time I finished said Book once Hour 2 Rolled around, I started getting Antsy and asked the Admissions Nurse how much Longer it would be. She said the Lab Work had come in, they were just waiting for a Room to see me in now. Moments later, I was called in. The next Doctor reassured me that there were no Blood Clots, Liver, or Heart Failure... the Bilateral Swelling in my Feet was the Result of a Reaction to a Brown Recluse Spider and several Mosquito Bites, for which he Prescribed me some Steroids from the nearest 24-7 CVS that made the Swelling go away within 2 Days. The only Downside of this place is that it has a Mandatory $10 Parking Lot, which is absolutely Nutty considering it is Mostly Empty for Several Floors. Like, C'mon. That's Ridonkulous. But aside from that BS, the Facility is as Extremely Clean as it is Comfortable, and the Staff is as wicked Friendly as it is Efficient! 3000 Stars!!!

I genuinely hope you never find yourself or someone you love needing care at St. Joseph Hospital…read more Our experience here has been absolutely appalling from beginning to end. Let's start with the facility itself. It is outdated, unappealing, and, more importantly, DIRTY. We have literally had to request that rooms be cleaned when there was BLOOD on the floor. In a hospital, of all places, basic cleanliness and sanitation should never be something a patient or family has to ask for. The lack of communication between physicians is equally disturbing. There appears to be no cohesive plan of care. One doctor adds a medication, another removes it, another adds three more, and meanwhile the patient and family are left trying to figure out what is happening and why. Communication with families is practically nonexistent. We witnessed a physician complete a procedure and immediately sprint out of the area without speaking to the family or answering questions. The surgical nurse was unable to answer even basic questions and repeatedly referred us back to the doctor--the same doctor who does not round, follow up, or make himself reasonably available to discuss the patient's care. Our experience with Dr. Sheinin in particular was terrible. Of all the physicians we encountered, our experience with him was by far the worst. His lack of communication, horrid bedside manner, and follow-up was completely unacceptable. If anyone in hospital administration or on the board reads these reviews, I sincerely hope you take a serious look at the concerns patients and families are raising about the care and communication they receive. And then there is the staff culture. Multiple nurses, across different departments, openly complained to the patient about being underpaid, frustrated with management, and unhappy working there. Whatever legitimate workplace concerns employees may have, an ill and vulnerable patient who is dependent on you for care should NOT be placed in the middle of them. When someone is hospitalized, their family is already scared, exhausted, and trying to advocate for them. They should not also have to chase doctors, coordinate communication between medical teams, request basic cleaning, and repeatedly beg for answers about the care being provided. This experience has completely destroyed my confidence in this hospital. I would never voluntarily bring myself or someone I love here again.
