He throws in a "base price" at you for "what HE wants to do" but not what YOU asked him to do; then he wants to charge you extra for this and extra for that. Don't waste your time. The stump removal, stump grinding and cleanup left the site immaculate, with careful attention not to damage nearby trees and lawn. Last week a fifty foot poplar uprooted from the saturated ground and windstorm, falling in my backyard garden on dogwood and crabapple trees. You expertly removed the fallen tree without damaging the trees it had fallen into. The stump removal, repair of the stump hole, and care of my lawn and garden was tremendous. Today, you removed a fifty foot white birch that was leaning dangerously on my side fence. The expert roping of the tree to fall opposite the adjacent fence was testament to your engineering skills. About 20 full sheets of plywood were laid down end to end to form a wooden road for your bobcat, so as not to damage my rain soaked lawn. I appreciate the skill and efficiency of these hard workers, and their attention to detail. I believe the cost of these projects was very reasonable considering not just the hard workers and expertise, but also use of your bobcat, cherry picker truck, massive wood chipper, dump truck, and assortment of chainsaws and pruning tools.
