I've been on the search for a stylist/salon that gives an honest consult, doesn't bs you with what they can do vs what they actually do and that is inclusive to everyone. I found that here. A few months ago I checked out their work and loved the vibe I was seeing. I scheduled a consult with Kara and afterwards, I knew I had found my salon. It is small and woman owned, inclusive and honest. I wanted a big change and Kara made sure she knew exactly what I wanted and offered suggestions. I was so excited. The day of my cut and color came and Kara got to work. By the end, I felt like a new person. She gave me exactly what I wanted and I was beyond stoked. She explained what she was using for color, how it would take and how long it would need in between bookings. She guided me on how to style my new look and proper care. I'm a super novice with hair and this was amazing information. We immediately booked my next appointment to see how growth was and go from there. Since then I have religiously booked for the next session and actually keep up my maintenance. Kara is professional and honest and incredibly talented. An appointment with her is like hanging out and shooting the shit with an old friend. My boss was so impressed with Kara's work that she has booked an appointment and is going for a major change as well! Beth, the owner, is fabulous as well. I've seen her work on clients while I was in my appointments. She has collected a list of regular/repeat clients that know they will get quality care from her. It's pretty nice that they do salon and barber work. Their place is a small suite in a building with other businesses but inside is comfortable and welcoming. And Neville, the resident fluffy boy (Beth's doggo) is a sweet little mascot. If you want to feel heard and appreciate a great sense of humor and quality work, you need to check them out. read more

I've gone to the same barber for almost 20 years. I never change my request, and I get consistent results. I went to see Kaylin instead at Christopher Michael Salon and Barber, and let me just say it's good to shake things up sometimes. Having your hair cut by someone with recent FRESH training can be crazy good. I got a cut that was a little different from my usual, and 10x better. Don't hesitate, go here! Beth is an amazing stylist and barber. I have been coming to her for my hair and beard needs for almost 5 years now. She always does a great job and makes the whole time a really pleasant and enjoyable experience. I have been having my son's hair cut by her for almost 2 years now as well and she always does a great job and is super good with him and his sometimes wiggly days (he is young). His hair is very different then my and just shows the skills and adaptiveness she has. I also regularly recommend her to others that will listen. read more

I went in to get my hair done (highlights n root touch up) I arrived home n noticed lots of gray left untreated. I happened to be out of town but I did reach out to owner. They fit me in upon arrival and she did a quick root touch up but super dark and not blended. I reached out and sent photos. Her response was sorry , maybe we aren't a good fit. Mind you $200 later. I asked if she could reimburse half so that I go try n fix with someone else. Well low n behold one of the consents I signed was no refund. I'm so disappointed with this whole mess. She says her employee is training..ok so why is it $200. I would not recommend this place. How can the owner just respond by saying find someone else that fits your needs. Poor customer service. My short hair can be tricky to cut with all the cowlicks and I'm pretty finicky, but I feel like I've won the lottery in finding Kayla. She's committed to giving 100% and making sure her clients get the best whether it's a regular cut, a quick trim, or a complete style change. I've been to stylists who charge double but I've never gotten a better cut or been happier with my hair than I am today. read more
