As a woman managing our personal home remodel, I have found some folks in this typically male-dominated field to be less receptive to me. It has been quite off-putting when I find that they seem more interested in making decisions with my husband despite the fact that I am the one dealing with the majority of the ins and outs of the project. This was never the case with Griffin, and I found all our interactions to be pleasant and productive. I appreciated that ALL input was recognized and valued from both my husband and myself.
