I use to go to the restaurant which was fantastic. I would get greek salad with feta cheese, hard boiled eggs olives and the great dressing. So when I drove by Christo's to go I thought oh that salad use to be so good I thinK I'll go in and see if they still sell it. I should of kept driving. $9.00 for a bowl of iceberg lettuce 2 olives skimpy feta. I called to find out if they forgot the eggs? No its extra and you have to ask for them. I also picked up a shortbread brownie (stale) and a choc chip cookie which was decent. I will not return. read more

I wish they would hire a manager who could manage the wait times when you come in to pick up your food. I don't mind waiting 2 hours for a pizza and a salad necessarily, but I do mind an additional 40 minute wait to get to the window to pick it up. A new business may have some first opening or growing pains but most of these people were part of the Restaurant that existed in Brockton. I called and was put on hold (rude and abruptly) but still got my order through in a timely fashion. I ordered a pizza and a salad. I was told 40 minutes. That is a little longer than any of the other pizza places I do business with but they are still just opened and did have a large following. I was almost 10 minutes late getting there cause I wasn't sure of the exact location and parking. I got there and as so many others have already said I had to wait even more? Almost 30 more minutes. So double the original estimated time! The pizza ended up being just OK the salad was terrible and not worth the money at all. It may have the name Christo's out front but it certainly IS NOT the quality that the restaurant had and really not the quality of any of the other pizza joints all around the area. read more

I remember growing up, friday night was pizza night and we always went to Christo's. I was sad when it closed. Then along came Christo's to go and I was excited to try it. I have... twice. I was so disappointed that the gift certificate I received for xmas might go to waste. First... they never seem to answer the phone. How is anyone supposed to place an order? Both times we went we had to go there and place the order in person and wait. Total chaos. Second... the quality has gone way down. I have always ordered the same pizza... sausage and onion. Both times I received the pizza with a couple of onion pieces and eight small (and I mean like half an inch diameter) sausage slices. And for some reason they seem to use a different cheese on pizza with toppings. Its gross. Both times my pizza tasted like fake cheese with just a hint of sausage and onion. I couldn't eat it either time. The waiting area needs a second window.... and they should have menus out for people to take.... it is supposed to be a take out place right? Unless they fix the issues, I have no plans to return. read more

Christo's To Go opened about a week ago. The little establishment has been under a microscope since the closing of the Brockton restaurant. With that being said, it is no surprise that the place has been swamped this past week. I ordered a salad last night and waited about an hour for it. When I arrived there were people who had been waiting for two hours, and the restaurant ran out of pizza dough because of a late flour delivery. The owner, Gigi, came out and apologized to the roughly twenty customers in the waiting area. Although unnecessary, it was very nice. As expected, the salad was delicious. Wanting to try the pizza, my wife and I ordered another salad and a pizza today. We called right at noon when the place opens. We were told half an hour, and arrived forty minutes later to find another crowd in the waiting area. We ended up waiting an additional fifteen minutes. The pizza was good and perfectly cooked, as the dough was predictably fresh and of just the right thickness for Greek-style pizza. The lettuce in the salad was definitely not wilted, and they were generous with the feta. The place gets four stars for the rather limited menu and the long waits. In their defense, there has been so much publicity about their opening that they were bound to be overtaken. read more

Yesterday, 6/13, I was in the neighborhood and decided to pick up a salad. While there, I also asked for a container of roasted potatoes from the fridge. I heated the potatoes and had eaten two pieces, before noticing mold growing throughout the container. Ewww I don't know how I missed the "enjoy before 6/4 label on the lid. My go to lunch spot, it's a grab and go place so you wouldn't go here to dine it. Everything I have gotten is wonderful! My favorite is their homemade chicken salad, I always get it in a wrap with side of fries. Today I tried their lemon chicken soup and it was heavenly! I've also had their cape cod grilled chicken salad and it was SO good. Fries always super crispy and golden 4/4 on great menu items so far! The staff really go out of their way for customers and make them feel valued, they really want their customers to feel welcome and want to return! I've never had an issue and the one time my order to 5 min longer than I was initially told the lovely ladies over there took care of me even when it wasn't necessary. 5/5 would and do recommend to friends and will keep returning as long as I'm working in the area! read more

This is the first time we have tried Christos to Go - having heard so many rave reviews about the original Christos restaurant. We are extremely disappointed and not likely to return. We ordered 2 greek salads with grilled chicken. The salad came with wilted lettuce TWO olives and THREE tiny pieces of BURNT chicken. The place is totally disorganized. It is a take out location and they were not answering the phone to take orders. Clearly they were ill prepared for a busy Sunday afternoon. Poor quality food, poor set up and poor service. Not worth the wait or the hype. They have a LOT to improve as a place can only last on name recognition alone for so long. read more

Was a patron of the original Christos for many years. I always ordered the same thing, pizza extra crispy and Greek salad. I have been to the new place twice. The first time was a real disappointment. Could never get them to answer the telephone so I ended up going there to order. The Greek salads were the same as ever but the pizza was truly disappointing. It was not crispy but actually very limp and under cooked, light on the onion and green pepper pieces and tasted blah. We could not finish it. They had only been open a few weeks at that point so originally I decided to try again but there are so many options for great pizza around here that I haven't been willing to risk the money. The next strike will be the last. Don't think the original quality is still present. When you get any topping, you have to search for it. Everything is obviously carefully measured. Bacon doesn't even have a flavor of bacon there's so little present. I think linguica had 15 pieces. Pepperoni barely has 12. I've been to the new location 5 times and have yet to be satisfied. 1 more failure will be the last shot after more than 40 years of it being my favorite. Opa! Christos is back! Their bar style pizza and Greek salads are as they once were- delicious and much missed. The wait time was long the first time I ordered there and wasn't really accurate but they've seemed to have gotten the hang of it and I'm sure it will be running perfect in no time. Keep in mind this is not the same Christos. As the name implies, this is only a to go place (which would seem obvious) and there are no tables to order and eat inside... no more vast spaces, but let's face it, we all went to Christos for the food anyway not to visit the gold room or see the old carpets. Fantastic pizza, love their Greek salad. I'm so glad they opened this place because it was really sad to see the full restaurant close down. I'll bet they'll be much more profitable on this smaller scale--it had been packed every time I've gone to pick-up there. This restaurant holds a special place in my heart. When they were just Christo's they were literally BOOMING in costumers. I would go there for my great grandmothers birthday and we would eat in the golden room which was the best seat in the house. They had the best takeout I remember sitting in the waiting room all the time for food they were always so fast. I knew people who worked there too one of them was my school counselor. They unfortunately closed after the owners father died it was like the community lost a family member it was a very sad time. People would always stop to take pictures of the restaurant tearing down. I saw them tearing down the golden room i almost cried now it is just and empty parking lot. There was such a high demand for Christo's they opened up Christo's to go. They are still the best like they were before and I always get salads and pasta there and sometimes pizza. They have the best pizza ever there the only pizza I can eat without feeling sick. With that being said Christos is by far the best restaurant ever and I would recommend it to anyone. read more

Went here mid-afternoon on Thursday. We were promptly waited on. Known for its Greek Salad, we once again ordered one and also one of its delicious pizza. The server accurately estimated our wait time. We were nicely surprised that they offer a homemade Chicken Pot Pie that serves two for about $10. We took one home to enjoy later. I don t think you can go wrong here for their take home offerings. The owner is really nice lady and she wants to be sure you are happy. read more

I would always still enjoy a salad though. When I saw they had GF pizza, I couldn't order one fast enough. My tastebuds couldn't believe it!! Food for the most part is as wonderful as the original restaurant except for the "famous" lemon chicken soup. It is hit or miss with the soup. It is thin, lacks much lemon, and the celery is often not undercooked. Sometimes there are plenty of ingredients in the soup and other times it is mostly broth. I am not sure if it depends on who makes it or what day of the week it is, but the soup, which is sometimes all we order, is lacking. Also, when I order 3 bowls of soup and request extra bread, which I happily pay for, and receive only one extra, this is disappointing. Greek salads are still the best, as is the grapenut pudding. I've missed Christo's since they closed last year and was excited to hear they finally opened in their new location. Unfortunately it is much too small and they are clearly so disorganized they can't handle the volume. I phoned in a pizza and a greek salad order at noon for pickup at 5:30. I arrived before 5:30 and waited in line for half an hour just to get to the counter to pick up my order. I saw one woman who left abandoning her order because the wait was so long. They should have a separate window for picking up and not combine the pickup with the ordering. In addition ordered a tray of salad and they forgot to include any rolls and butter. I hope they can fix their problems and bring their performance back to what we expected at the old location. Until then it will be a while before I make a return trip. :( read more

I used to love this place until they started cutting the portions and raising the prices. I did not accept their their explainations either! The food is really good but portions are small and way too expensive to bring home and cook for yourself. At that point I'll go to the grocery store! I might feel differently if they had a dining room for a sit down dinner but there are way too many Greek places to have to settle. They lost me and sadly I'll never know if they change anything, unless they have a large banner that reads, we've reduced our prices and made our portions the size they used to be. sat 3:00 finally got them to answer phone after trying for 15 minutes. I asked how long is the wait for pizza and was told 45 minutes. I was strapped for time so I asked how about just a salad order and was told 25 minutes. I ordered 3 salads one with chicken 2 with meat. Got there about 3:30 and sat in line just to get to window for about 10 minutes. I then gave the girl working my name and told her I had called in order for 3 salads. All she did was take my name and write it on a piece of paper with about 13 other names of people waiting. So after standing there for an additional 20 minutes in a stuffy waiting area with about 20 people who seemed to me like they were not too happy about the wait either and hearing comments about people standing there for about 45 minutes to an hour I walked out and left. there is no salad on this earth that is worth that kind of service and I will never go back. come on people its a salad not rocket science!!!!! if you cannot handle the business you really should just stop taking orders all you are doing is pissing people off.... read more

I got a Greek salad with chicken, moussaka, and cheese pizza. Little chicken to the salad. Scant olives. Apply your own feta? Ok. Moussaka was bland and no sauce. Pizza was ho hum. I ordered chicken pot pie and lemon soup. When I got home, we realized that the soup was hot while the pie was cold (right out of the fridge). My wife called and asked them how we should heat it up. Their service was nice so it's definitely more forgiving. Not sure why they can't make the extra step to warm it up for customers. read more

This is now my go to for pizza in town. I was reluctant for a while to try it based on some of the earlier reviews but they seem to have worked out most of the kinks. I've never had an issue with wait times, what they quote me on the phone is dead on. Couple tips though - I have found that if you order more than one topping it's kind of skimpy and not really worth the extra cost so I generally just stick to one and also well done is a must here, if not it's a little undercooked,for my liking anyways. read more

I went to Christo's To Go to check it out and left very satisfied. When I walked in I received a friendly greeting at a take out window that took me back to the original Christo's. The menu consisted of a large number of the old Christo's favorites to take and heat and eat at home along with freshly prepared pizzas and salads. I selected Chicken pot-pie, Mac 'n cheese, rice pilaf, Greek salad and the famed Ava lemona (chicken lemon) soup. When I got home, I immediately heated up the soup. Mmmm!!!!! The best I've ever had. Not starchy like at many other Greek restaurants. Loads of chicken. At dinner I decided to try the pot-pie and the Greek salad. The salad was wonderful, reminnisant of the famous original Greek salad from Christo's, fresh and crisp and smothered with just enough feta cheese and of course the famous Christo's Greek dressing. I'll have to remember to pick up a couple of bottles on my next visit. The chicken pot-pie was delicious, loaded with huge pieces of chicken and a scrumptious array of vegetables. As good as Mom used to make covered with a beautiful and flaky crust. The pie was big enough for two so there were leftovers. I haven't tried the rice or Mac 'n cheese, but can hardly wait. If they're half as good as what I've already eaten I won't be surprised. Once I've tried them I'll be back to comment. I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I discovered Christos to go about 3 2 months ago and was thrilled I would be able to get my favorite greek salad and pizza again. I've ordered the take out 4 times now. Not once has it disappointed. It's just as fresh and delicious as I remember. The greek pizza with tomato and spinach is my new favorite. The staff is friendly, they are lovely on the phone, food is ready when they say it will be and it's really good. No complaints here. read more
