What a phenomenal dining experience! We had a large party (30+ppl) and they set us up perfectly, off to the side & all together. It was a celebration party & easily accommodated us with bringing ballon's & flowers. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Red sauce was good. Service was good. Rest of the food was disappointing. Don't order clam app. Clams were tiny, I mean like super tiny, smaller than a pea. Half the shells were empty. The broth/soup they were in was tasty but they didn't serve us spoons. Manicotti used the thick grocery store shells and the filling had a bad flavor. Waitress said it was oregano but I didn't think that was it. Pesto sauce was not good on my wife's fettuccine either and she barely ate it. Nothing was horrible, but we won't be going back. 3% service fee added to prices listed. I have no idea what that was for, just set the prices correctly so is clear what I'm spending. Ordered the Moussaka , I can't understand why it was so extremely greasy. Seems reheated , maybe several times. Disappointed, because I ordered the chicken cacciatore last time and that was excellent. (Unable to eat my meal because it was so greasy that it made my stomach hurt.) Obviously,a waitress did not show up today as the one waitress was all alone, making drinks, waiting on tables and trying to answer the phone while greeting guests. (The dessert was surrounded by cool whip instead of real whipped cream at a cost of $12.00. Also the Pena Cotta was a day old , Pena cotta was tasteless, and somewhat dry instead of sweet and creamy. Fruit on the top was fresh. ) There is also a Bartender needed , as the waitress was not sure that she knew how to make the drink that I wanted, plus when was she supposed to make anyones drinks with the phone ringing and ringing?? So Management allows the phone ringing non stop, no one to greet the customers and a woman waiting and waiting at the front counter to book a large group for tomorrow while the waitress has to run around, waiting on those at the bar plus 3 sit down tables , and make their drinks plus greet customers and answer the phone. read more

So the place is decieving. Outside looks mischievous but inside is large and has a nice look to it. Moussaka was $25 for what most places are about $12. Inches hike it was double what it should cost the flavor had nice warming spices but was average at best and we would not get it again. Spanakopita had four flakey pieces served with Tzatziki. The taste was good for both but would have preferred a saltier feta but overall worth the $15. Tzatziki was served with really good pita bread that was warm and complimented the sauce nicely. Definitely my favorite over the three and was $8. Glass of white wine was $12 and an expresso martini was $14 and both good. We will have to go back and try entree's and possibly adjust this review. But as of now nothing memorable and I wouldn't recommend this to friends at this point without trying one more time. The owners are divorced and moved here from Alaska. The wife is Italian and while doesn't know how to cook she said, she gives the husband food ideas for the menu. The husband is Mexican and was trained in Greek food. She was excellent to speak with but did seem a bit frazzled at times while the place was empty. read more

While staying at Great Wolf Lodge, my husband, grandniece and I went to Marcello's. We all loved it. She had the kids spaghetti, and we added a meatball. My husband had the spaghetti with meat sauce. I had the eggplant Parmesan. Highly recommend!!! read more

Located at Charles Park Plaza in the former Melao space, Marcello's is a casual restaurant serving American, Italian and Greek cuisines. They offer lunch and dinner menus including sandwiches, burgers, pita wraps, gyros, pizzas, pizza calzones, salads, pasta dishes, seafood entrees, steaks, souvlaki, Greek entrees, appetizers, soups, chowder, and desserts. The prices are moderate high. I stopped by Marcello's recently for a Saturday night dinner. The place was moderately busy and I was promptly seated at a small table in the back. The dining area is spacious with hard wood flooring, TVs, potted plants, table seating and booth seating. They also have a bar with seating, but on my last visit, it wasn't active (awaiting liquor approval). I was given an ice water by a staff member, who was not my server. My server arrived close to 10 minutes later after being seated. I already knew what I wanted and ordered the Spanakopeta ($16 plus tax) and the Pastitsio ($25 plus tax). The appetizer arrived first, which comprised of 5 hot baked flaky spanakopeta (spinach & cheese) triangles with a thick tzatziki with shredded cucumber dipping sauce. The entree arrived very hot along with a basket of hot baked breadsticks with parmesan cheese & seasonings. The Pastitsio (good size) was very hot baked in a casserole dish with layers of ziti, ground beef, cheese, and bechemel on top and smothered with a hearty marinara sauce. This dish seemed like a fusion of Italian and Greek, very tasty. I managed to finish all of my food and passed on the dessert offer. The check came out to $43.56 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food I had was pretty good and the service initially was a bit delayed. I would give Marcello's another go for pizza and moussaka next time. read more

Easily our favorite restaurant. We came here shortly after they opened and were hooked from day 1. The food is clearly made with love - consistent, fresh, and delicious every time we come. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The ambiance is warm and cozy but still bright enough that you can read the menu. We've done dine-in as well as takeout, both for lunch and dinner and they knock it out of the part every single time. Still looking for amazing Italian first time here place is good sized table crowding isn't an issue greeted right away sat and was approached by I believe the bartender at the time passing by asked if I wanted a drink. My go to Diet Coke with lime on the side I came as I ordered it approached by another person who was my waitress asked if I wanted a drink I said I was all set but I'm ready to order. Keeping it simple my go to is angel hair with meat sauce no angel hair ok I'll have the penne Also asked for some Alfredo sauce to dip my bread sticks in and add sausage to the dish. Dinner arrives. And it's spaghetti not penne. Breadsticks were hard I'd like to think they were just overcooked? Or? I d k the meat sauce lacked meat lol. I cannot believe the experience that I had not once but now twice after me and my husband's wedding ceremony, we decided to go here and sit down to eat. The waitress was very rude time after time and to top it off my husband had a seafood dish and was sick all night from it we spent a lot of money here so I decided to call in this morning and say something to the manager about it. The manager had a tone in her voice and an attitude like she truly couldn't give a shit if that wasn't worse enough all she said to me was sorry I don't know how to make it up to you. Unbelievable. She didn't even apologize for her staff being unprofessional. She defended her and started bringing up off topic facts about her outside life and how she's not racist even though she looked at my husband every time he spoke to her like she's never spoken to anyone out of her own race before due to the fact that he has an accent I am truly beside myself and judging by the nasty of everybody who works here and lack of care I wouldn't be surprised if the food was unsanitary and that's why he was sick.
