Ok so I think I should start my review of this Greek restaurant with the fact that I am a Greek who learned to cook from my YiaYia and mother so I don't usually dine at Greek places. I am sorry to say we should not have gone to this one. The place inside is small but cozy. Our server was Sadie who was also bartending. She did a great job... the food was the problem. We ordered the grilled octopus. We love octopus and travel far to enjoy it but this octopus was so tough and chewy. It has to be tenderized properly. I actually swallowed the one piece in my mouth rather than spitting it out. We told our server and the manager came and apologized. On that same plate was a bit of hummus, a few greens, olives and a slice of feta that was so dry and tasteless! I only buy imported cheeses because they traditionally are way better and I know they are more expensive but give a great product and people will appreciate it. I was so frustrated with this dining experience I wanted to leave.. I ordered the Chicken Santorini which was ok but his MOUSSAKA was not good. It is usually one of the most delicious Greek dishes. The béchamel sauce was as thick as the ground beef bottom but was not rich and creamy but more like a custard! Ugh again so frustrating. The piece was huge as was my dinner but more is not always better. All in all we won't be going back. Maybe if you don't know truly great Greek food you'll be ok at Anna's Harborside. I wish them the best.. I really wanted it to be a wonderful dining experience but they failed. read more

Based on the one meal, appetizer and drink, I would not return nor recommend this restaurant. The customer service was uninspiring. We interacted with several servers and none of them provided more than the most basic of tasks. Even when asked for more napkins or sauce there was not follow through. The dolmades meal was dry, mealy and overcooked. I've had much better dolmades from a can. These grape leaf wraps were dried and shriveled with a bizarrely flavored rice mix. The outside space could have been lovely, but no care was provided to the dead and dying flower baskets. I should have realized that the flower baskets were indicative of the overall care and quality of the restaurant, abysmal. read more

Anna's goes above and beyond!! I came here on one of the most busiest days of the year, Valentine's Day! My best friend Luci and I came without reservations to celebrate a year of self love Jimmy went out of his way to accommodate a very severe Soy Allergy that I have. It's difficult for me to eat out, but he tailored the best ribeye ever for me. I love the staff there, everyone is so welcoming, fun and accommodating. Loved the food and the service staff. Everyone is right about Sarah being amazing. We wanted some snacks so the three of us got a couple soups and split the Trip To Greece off the specials menu for 2 people. Well when it came out it was massive, we were asking "are you sure this is the one for two?" Worrying that we ordered the one for 4 people. I think it was $70 but it was a great deal. I have been eating leftovers for 3 days now with my roommate and it's still going. My favorite things on here are the feta cheese, olives, dips, and bread. The lamb was not too lamby and I liked that it was very delicious. The spanakopita was soggy but still good (not as good as mine) and they use dill to season it. The stuffed peppers have this very delicious meat mixture as well. I would recommend getting this plate. It's probably good for 4 people or 3 hungry ones. It's a white table cloth type of place and there's tvs in the corners oddly enough. So if the game is on you can still catch up while having a nice meal. The crowd here was 'senior' but it was also 6pm on a Saturday night in the frigid cold. The bathrooms are single rooms so use whichever of them is open. I would have given this place 5 stars but I took one star off because they had a blue line flag out front which is basically a declaration that they don't support black lives matter. The blue line flag is an anarchist flag by definition, it might as well be a confederate flag. It's old news and I think this business would be better off only having true a American flag, Greek flag, and state of Massachusetts flag. They already have the first two. Just fix the last one. I don't condone hateful flags and never will. But I do love this Greek food! read more

The best Greek restaurant in the area! I don't even know where to start. We came here with a group of 8 on a Saturday for lunch in the summer. We had no problem being seated even in the outdoor section. They have two out door sections, one covered and one uncovered. We sat in the covered section which was very pleasant. The waitress was very friendly as well as the owner who greeted us when we walked in. The food here is incredible and so authentic! We stumbled upon this little Greek restaurant in Plymouth Harbor. We frequently eat in Plymouth and never had tried this restaurant before. Anna's Harborside is a gem. The spinach pie was delicious. The Greek salad was fabulous and the special Mediterranean appetizer did not disappoint. Great hummus, buns, and tzatziki. We enjoyed every aspect of our lunch. Came here on a whim. Always saw outside seating but didn't know how to get in. Restaurant next to it had a 40 minute wait. Got right in here. The portions and the food were phenomenal!!! Many people have suggested Anna's over the years. We sat outside, but didn't love the atmosphere. The front patio on the grassy part of their property seemed nicer, but we sat in the back where there were blue neon lights which seemed out of place and tacky. Our server was very nice and attentive, but she seemed to have way more tables than she could handle. She was literally running around the entire time. For food, we tried the Aegean fries and although they tasted ok, they could definitely be executed better. Nothing was melted so all of the toppings just fell off. Good drunk food, but otherwise I wouldn't order them again. The chicken parm ciabatta sandwich was probably the only thing that we thoroughly enjoyed. The potato skin pizza sounded delicious, but was under-seasoned and overly heavy. Again, good drunk food. Maybe coming earlier in the day rather than for late night food would be better. read more

I ordered the crabcakes and the crabcakes were very good. I ordered a side of the vegetable medley and it was disgusting. The vegetables were soft and mushy and everything was drenched in oil. I couldn't eat it. My friend got the salmon which he said was very good. read more

Don't understand how that's not a consistent 5 star. First, Sara without the h- lots of Sara(h)'s at this eatery was so helpful and professional. Just a pleasure and made us very comfortable. The Chicken Greek soup was outstanding. I wasn't feeling great and this soup was truly a soup for the soul; flavor spectacular! I was so impressed I ordered a to go of this heavenly liquid!!! My party also enjoyed a fried chicken sandwich without the bun. Fantastic and so large was enough for three servings. Greek salad wrap was reported to be fantastic. The ambiance was very comfortable. What took so long and WHY was is served cold? If you weren't heating up our chowder what were you doing to it? Needless to say, we told our waitress and left. The food is not good. I ordered the lamb kabobs, which I assumed would be beautifully roasted lamb chunks over a flame or hot coals. It was horrible. So horrible I couldn't eat it. Grey wet chunks of meat on perfectly clean kabob sticks. I'd swear it was boiled, then shoved on a dry stick. Terrible. My potatoes were hard and had no flavor. At $31, it was a lot of money to throw away. I took my entire plate of food home to feed to my dogs. My husband got the pizza, which he shared with me because he had a bite of mine and promptly put it back on my plate. The pizza was just ok. But the crust is thick and seems kind of like a store bought crust. Also I ordered the 9oz glass of wine and I got a tiny maybe 4oz of wine. My husband and I have had an incredibly busy week and we were hoping for a wonderful dinner out, but unfortunately the terrible food ruined everything. The restaurant is a small but pretty & charming place, the front service was good , attentive , but the food.. sooo not worth it. Go somewhere else. We will not be coming back here. read more

Based on the ratings and our location we thought that we would stop at Anna's for chowder and a lobster roll. We were seated immediately and opened the menu to see a $30 lobster roll... now I have been to some of the best places in New England for lobster rolls and never paid that much, even for a roll with more meat than a whole lobster. So with one picture from four years ago showing a less than appealing lobster roll we decided to pass. We ordered two bowls of clam chowder. Then we waited... and waited... and waited... somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes later our chowders finally arrived! We both took our pictures and took our first (and only) bite. We immediately looked at each other and said one word, cold. I am not sure what they were doing for those 15-20 minutes, but it sure ad hell wasn't heating our chowder! I am not talking about lukewarm, I really think that a can of soup sitting out on table would have been warmer... After this we simply got up and left... and that doesn't happen often! read more

Tasted like frozen fish that was heated up with canned salsa that should be used for Tostito chips thrown on top of it. Our delightful waitress Cindy answered all my questions and steered me to the Moussaka. OMG one of the best I have ever had including traveling to Santorini , Mykonos and Athens! My husband had the ribeye which was cooked to perfection with mouthwatering roasted vegetables accented with bacon. Yummmmm Held off for dessert and had a delectable Mascarpone poundcake with a glazed banana and homemade gelato. They had to roll us both out the door. The food was so-so. The half roasted chicken was dry and tasted like it was reheated by the kitchen staff from last night's service. Same w the potatoes. We felt like we were eating leftovers. The haddock was alright, but again the sides (potatoes and veggies) looked and tasted like they were reheated from last night's service. Slow, intermittent service. Management should be aware that some diners have sophisticated palates. This place is likely great for burgers and fries and pizza but our dining experience was a great letdown. read more

I live within walking distance of the restaurants at the Plymouth waterfront and out of all of them, this is my favorite! The Mediterranean menu is healthy and the food is always delicious. I am appreciative of the easy pick up spot out front for to-go orders. The hummus plate, octopus, and lamb kabobs are our go-to dishes. This place is a gem, give it a try. read more

We really wanted to like this spot but unfortunately it was a bust all around. The location is great however the food and drinks were not. As you can see, the drinks were very mild and watered down and the pizza fell apart as the crust was thin, chewy and completely broke apart. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer but we had to send it back as it didn't come out until our lunch came out. Someone in our party ordered the fish tacos and said the fish was very good but the tacos had way too much salsa and tasted fairly bland. Another individual in our group ordered the gyro and said the meat was good but the tomato, lettuce and onion was all served on the side as full sliced produce and not diced which made it very difficult for it to be added to the actual gyro. Unless you want to cut up all of your own produce and build your own gyro - probably wouldn't recommend. Very bummed that this restaurant was so subpar because it would be a perfect spot to enjoy the nice weather. read more

Our check started at 6:09p. The ladies at the host stand were nice when we walked up. When we sat down we were offered drinks. Upon ordering the pizza, we were told there would be a 45 minute wait because they were making the dough fresh. No problem! We can wait. We received 2 rounds of drinks and were checked on twice within the first hour but nothing after that. It has now been over two hours. At the 2 hour mark, we had to call someone over to ask about the pizza we had ordered and asked if we could get it to go. The waitress went to ask about it and came back and said they were putting it in the box for us. That was 20 minutes ago. This is not our first visit but it just might have to be our last based on this experience. Update: just got home (2 and a half hours after ordering said pizza) it's overcooked and room temperature. read more

I have a gluten allergy and asked to confirm that the special (sea bass) could be made gluten free and avoid cross contamination. In the ~3 years I've been diagnosed as celiac I've never once been glutened until this point. About 15 minutes after we started eating I became sick and as anyone with celiac knows, it got worse from there. When it comes to any customer service I make sure to be considerate and polite. I wrestled with calling the restaurant to let them know what happened, as I know folks work their butts off in the food industry. My family convinced me that they need to know. Unfortunately my call was met with a lot of attitude from the manager; "I'm sorry you think it was our food that got you sick." It wasn't so much the wording as the overall vibe and tone that was really off-putting. I didn't expect it, but was told I could have a gift card mailed to my address. It has been months and that never arrived. The waiters/waitresses worked their butts off that day and this rating isn't a reflection of the excellent attention and hustle they showed. read more
