My wife loves Greek food and apparently they have great food, she loves it. My issue was with my Chicken Pram. When I un wrapped it find that the lining side in there foil they use to wrap to- go orders with was covering the top side. It had separated and I tried to remove it it was coming off in little tiny pieces with no luck. It was not edible and went in the trash. I called and asked for a credit for it. Haha wouldn't you know it the response I got was it my fault because i didn't eat it fast enough. Granted I didn't eat it in the car because we wanted take it home I live in Braintree you can do the math but i think its a 45 min drive. Remember I we too long to eat. I repeat it because I think tis outrages to Blame a customer for not eating fast enough especial were there is no label telling me I hade me to eat it in a with in 30 minuets.. I worked in the restaurant business for 30 years. If I found out a customer was treated the way I was. I wouldn't fire anyone I blamed myself because I didn't train them correctly. They would but they be scheduled to work in the dish room until they took Customer service as it should be. With out customers we don't open. I think the young lady I spoke to needs to spend time in the dish room she doesn't know anything a bout customer service. she changed her attuited as soon as I side was un happy her attuited changed. read more

We are big fans of Tasos! The dining room is homey and the staff are nice. Great gyros, Spanakopita and other Greek foods as well as American food. It's always good to get a salad included and it feels like home cooking... Good home cooking. They have wine, beer and Greek/ assorted pastries that we always want to have, but never seem to order. I've been wanting to try this place forever and I should have done it sooner. Trust me when I say -- get the baked lamb. We ordered takeout but we would have also felt comfortable dining in. It's a great family run business and there's something for everyone. I didn't realize there was an ice cream window as well. I was helped right away and service was warm but to the point (they are busy! For a good reason!) If you go I do recommend looking beyond the paper menu they have. For some reason there are a million more offerings written on whiteboards in the restaurant. On a recent Saturday night the kitchen was overwhelmed. Waited over an hour to get our food. When food arrived, one dish was severely undercooked and had to go back. Steak tips marinade is literally indescribable and not in a good way. A combo of teriyaki and something undefinable. Salmon did not taste great either. Poor waiter had his hands full. Not sure about the reviews talking about rude service. Assuming that person is gone because I saw nothing but great attitudes from everyone who worked there. The chicken wings were great and disappeared before I took a picture! I was quick enough to get picture of 1/3 of the spinach pie. I had the lamb chops Greek style with rice pilaf. Two of the boys had the Chicken Souvlaki. One had rice and the other had potatoes. The last meal was the Greek salad topped with seafood salad. Two of us had the lemon rice soup. My husband and I have eaten here before and enjoyed the food. Today we arrived a bit before 2:00p.m. and ordered two cheeseburgers and fries. The server who took our order was pleasant. The place was busy but not completely full. After about 25 to 30 min, no food, and we noticed others that were seated after us getting their food. So we asked that server if our food was coming. She said "yup" and we waited. Then right away another server arrived with the meal. My husband mentioned the wait and asked if the burgers were still warm, mentioning the almost 30 min. wait. He was matter-of-fact and very pleasant. She rudely said "just because you arrive at 2:00 does not mean you will be served, promptly" or something like that. She asks "do you think waiting that long is unreasonable when the restaurant is busy?" We both answered "yes" since it does not take that long to cook a burger. She ended by saying we can just stay home, then. Needless to say, thank you, we will and we will not be returning. Now this server was very attentive to those customers she called by name. Ya think she could of spent a minute of her time communicating with us? Or does she not bother with the non regulars? We just wanted was a bit of communication saying sorry your burgers will be coming up, sorry for the wait, we are slammed or short of staff or something. Others we getting served before us, who came after us, so we eventually wondered what was up. Did someone forget our order? Waiting almost one half hour for two burgers/fries, without any updates is a long time. (I don't know who this woman was, the owner, the daughter of the owner or. Beware, from reading previous reviews, this might be the rude server others have complained about.) I noticed, as she worked the room, she is very friendly to her "regulars"; and I think the regulars get the quicker service! And, if you are not a regular, you do not really matter and don't question the service!! We left a 20% tip because that is how we roll; on second thought, we really should not have. (Oh, and we ordered the burgers medium and they came to us well done. We would of sent them back but she probably would of blown a gasket.) read more

Very good, homestyle and homemade (if you come from a Greek family!) food. I think it's probably somewhere between 4 stars and 5 stars. The food is phenomenal, and the prices are excellent. Their grilled foods are excellent (Greek pork chops are lemony excellence), and their Greek green beans (sauteed with onions, tomato and spices) and lemon potato wedges are heavenly. The roasted lamb shank is close to perfect. Be sure to spoon out the marrow. I let the kids get their desserts, which are huge, homemade and "awesome" It's not fancy, but it is comfortable and enjoyable. To me, the only downside is the small number of staff. They are extremely nice and amazingly efficient, but the meal becomes a slow one. I think it is appropriate that it is called a "Euro Cafe." It's a really nice little place. read more

We saw this restaurant on The Phantom Gourmet Show on TV and after seeing both the show and the online menu, we decided to drive up from Providence. We were not disappointed. We started with the Horiatiki Salad, or true Greek salad, which was spectacular. We also decided to try the 'Opa Opa Fries' and they were really good, too. For dinner, I really enjoyed the Baked Stuffed Green Peppers while my husband ordered the Roasted Lamb Shank. Since we had that salad, we opted for the White Bean Soup which was full flavored and zestful. Overall, all the dishes were really tasty, and we did get a true taste of Greece as I have not had a restaurant of true Greek food since I went to Athens years ago. I asked server to please return it She the got upset and told me they do not take orders back and redo them for anyone and I must pay regardless if I like it or not! Walk in a customer, leave family. Located at the Norwood Airport this place is a hidden gem! The interior reminds me of a diner setting with their dessert displays filled with homemade treats. They are known for their amazing over the top frappes (literally overflowing with toppings!) Tasos is top notch & one of our favorite restaurants in the area. This is a family owned business filled with passion & it shines through on the delicious food. Our first time there the owner Christina walked us through the menu & explained in detail the Greek options that we unfamiliar with. Per her recommendation we tried the dip trio served with fresh pita - delicious! The Opa fries topped with feta & mozzarella cheese. Called in to place my order. The woman who answered was not friendly. I asked a question about a meal and she was rude like I was bothering her. Then she said "Do you have a name?" instead of saying "your name please?". While I was waiting to pay, I was even more taken aback when a woman came in with a little girl, possibly her granddaughter. They wanted to order ice cream and the worker said you have to order outside. The patron then asked can we come back inside afterwards to eat it? Well the worker said abruptly and rudely, No, you can sit outside and eat it, it's a nice day. Mind you all the tables inside were empty except one. We recently phoned in a to-go order from this little gem tucked in by the Norwood airport. There was a short line for pickup, but they were fast, friendly, and efficient--especially Megan, a friendly cashier/counter staff person who took our phone order and greeted us with enthusiasm upon our arrival. Love Tasos! The staff is incredibly warm, welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious with massive portions. High marks for the grape leaves, chicken gyro, roasted chicken with potatoes, and of course the pita! The hummus was good but I won't crave it later. Would highly recommend this spot for pick up or a casual meal. It's right next to the airport so lots of families with young kids enjoying watching the planes take off. Originally discovered Tasos Euro Cafe on an old episode of Phantom Gourmet. It kind of makes sense considering the rather unique location this establishment has, being on a small road which connects a main artery which goes through Norwood to the actual airport in Norwood. It's not exactly a street most people would drive on frequently, it all all. Fast forward about twenty separate trips to this place and we love it. We've even recommended it to friends and taken family here. It's fairly quiet, the staff is friendly and the overall quality of food is outstanding. The restaurant goes to great length to serve up some delicious, authentic Greek food and they even import some of their ingredients from Greece, including their tomatoes which are outstanding year-round. I almost always get their Horiatiki salad, a gigantic platter which features three kinds of Greek olives, some tomatoes, some feta, onions, cucumbers, oregano and olive oil. It's a-m-a-z-i-n-g and my absolutely go-to dish. Their chicken Gyro is great too as is their Moussaka and their pizza is also low-key awesome and a locally kept secret. Don't sleep on their desserts either, they bake tons of cookies and other delicacies and maybe give their famous baklava ice-cream a try as well. Service is friendly, there's tons of parking and they're very Covid-19 compliant and converted their ice-cream window into a takeout window for all orders. Tucked away, almost hidden really, on a twisty-turny road near the Norwood Airport and a light industry area is this small restaurant. I don't know how you'd ever know it was here if you didn't work in that neighborhood. I originally heard about Tasos when the Boston Globe wrote a positive review a couple of years ago. The menu is an assortment of Greek favorites like moussaka, gyros and pastitsio (a kind of lasagna), but also offers pizzas, salads, mac and cheese and a few seafood dishes. There is a board with daily specials tending toward Greek items. Today we stopped in after bringing my car to the nearby dealership for an oil change and tire rotation. Waiting for those tasks to be completed left us a little peckish in that food lull between lunch and dinner. We both ordered the spanakopita (spinach and feta cheese pies in phyllo pastry.) These came with disappointing salads that were clearly prepared ahead of time. They were much too chilled and the cucumber and tomatoes were not in the best shape, having been overly refrigerated. The spanakpita however was really good. There was plenty of tasty, well-seasoned filling between the flaky sheets of buttery phyllo. The size of each portion was so large that I ate only half. I love having leftovers to bring home. Sadly, this place doesn't have a liquor license as I would have enjoyed a Mythos beer which is one I tend to get in Greek restaurants. There is a bakery and pastry case here filled with an assortment of both Greek and American desserts. I've previously had some Greek cookies that were good. We were too full this time to have any dessert. Tasos is a pleasant enough, no-frills stop right off the so-called Auto-Mile. Decent food with a Greek focus at reasonable prices. It's not a place I'd go out of my way to visit but when I'm in the area for that next oil change, I'm pretty certain I'll be back. read more

For lunch, I had the Pastichio ($9.95), a Greek lasagne served with a decent Greek salad and a hot roll with butter. The Pastichio was very filling and had lots of meat, pasta tubes, topped with a thick layer of Bechemel. I had much of this meal boxed up since I filled up on the Grape Leaves. The service was good with my food coming out quickly. My waitress served my table from over the railing. So who goes to an airport just for a meal? Wait, this is an airport? The first time I drove to this restaurant, I thought it was actually a golf course instead of an airport. There were a couple of golf-like carts and a lack of indication of the presence of planes around. It's a hidden gem though and definitely worth the look. I went for the lamb souvlaki and ordered it medium rare, knowing that it was going to end up being medium. And yes, it ended up being medium. The lamb was good though, as it managed to be pretty tender and flavorful. The lemon juice marinade does show. Getting two skewers is another positive. The large amount of rice and grilled pita bread will fill you up at the end. The spankopita is definitely two meals in one. The spinach pie is one large fillo parcel with spinach/feta goodness inside. The fillo was crispy and not greasy, while the filling was abundant and savory. I could only manage to eat half for lunch, so it ended up being dinner later. It's substantial, to say the least. What diminishes this restaurant to a 4-star affair? The green bean side that came with both meals was tasteless and cooked to crap. If you're going to serve a Greek salad at a Greek restaurant, and I realize it's a side salad, but have more than just one minute olive. Lastly, while the wait staff can be friendly (they were to me at the end), sometimes being chatty can slow down service a little. Food is mediocre for the price. Staff are unhelpful and somewhat rude. If you try to sit outside, they literally won't give you a cup of water and insist that you purchase bottled water, because they "cant give out the disposable plastic cups".
