BEWARE! I will never go back to this ENT clinic. Horrible experience with Dr Love. She couldn't get out of the room fast enough. Brisk attention, talked so fast I could hardly understand her. She asked (?) if I wanted her to scope me for an issue I was having. I've been scoped before... they sprayed an anesthetic in my nose first, then did it comfortably... NOT Dr Love. She literally CRAMMED the scope in with no anesthetic... hit my deviated septum & quickly CRAMMED it down the other side. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE procedure... Quickly showed me the video on her phone (?) and left. THEN I GET THE BILL...I was charged TWICE BECAUSE THE HOSPITAL BILLS TOO because they are considered a "hospital clinic"!? A $230 visit charge ended up being $460!? RIDICULOUS. AND they both listed charges for "surgery"!? Surgery includes anesthetic... my visit did not. I am never going back there & have serious questions about my PCP (also with CSV) who referred me. read more

I just got out of my appointment with Dr. Padilla and Dr. Whonsetler and I am so upset! I explained to Dr. Padilla that when my only working ear is cleaned too vigorously, I have trouble hearing for a few days. I explained that I had to work the next day and would need to hear. It seemed like she understood, but then she brought in Dr. Whonsetler. I tried to tell him the same, but he retorted, "We're always gentle here" and proceeded to do the very thing I asked them not to do while Dr. Padilla just stood there and passively watched. Afterwards, I said to her, "That's exactly what I asked you guys not to do," but all I received in response was a mumbled sorry. They do what a lot of bad doctors do: Assume the patient has no idea what they're talking about and think they know better. If you want doctors to take you seriously and not brush off your lifetime of experience with your own health issues, then avoid these doctors! I received a referral to Christus St VIncent ENT in Santa Fe. I didn't hear from them and it had been ample time so I called them. The first thing they said to me was that they charge an upfront fee of $412 to visit the Doctor, it's a Hospital Surcharge since their Offices are located within the Hospital. It's due upfront. I questioned them and said I would have to contact my Insurance since this was separate from the $75 co-pay. I then read about many people questioning this and my Insurance verified they can do this and they can request it upfront and it would be up to me to get a refund if they covered any or part of it. So if I want to visit the Ear, Nose Throat Doctor it would be almost $500 every visit (MY Portion). It's disappointing, but I am thankful that's the first thing they said and probably why they didn't contact me. read more
