Whatever you do do not rent your skis from here. The girl that adjusted my bindings ruined my winter. I had an Epic pass and a Copper pass for the season. My first day skiing at Copper a snow boarder ran into me and the tip of my ski got stuck in the snow. My ankle twisted 180 degrees, my bindings did not release. I broke my ankle and have been incapacitated for ten weeks. Lost a lot of time, money and fun. Have a real ski expert get you set up. read more

Every time I come in here, the rental people are always so nice and helpful. Honestly, the most amazing people. I came in today (01/24/25) And there were three people working rentals in the morning, two guys and one girl. Went here to get my skis waxed and sharpened. Their service was quick and friendly! They provided a timeline for when it would be finished (2 days). Paid at the time of drop off so I already knew what I was paying for. The pickup was super quick! In and out within 5 minutes. Nice to get a good wax of the skis before hitting the slopes. read more

I don't think I can put into words how amazing Christy's Sports is -- but I'll try! I was first recommended Christy's by an acquaintance for my first seasonal rentals -- service was fast, personal, and in and out. No frills attached. And the best part about Christy's is that they have stores in all of the major resorts to tune-ups and switch outs are no problem. This year, I happened to stop into Christy's while my partner was renting and decided to try on some boots to pass time because I wasn't sure if I would be buying or renting yet. It was a slow day so the salesguy was super happy and helpful. I had previously had a really bad experience with a boot fitter so this was refreshing. He talked *with* me and not *at* me, didn't treat me like I didn't know what I was doing, and wanted to make sure I would be as comfortable as possible in any type of boot -- even when I said I wasn't sure if I was buying. Well after discussing and fitting multiple different boots for not just myself, but my partner as well (who initially came in to rent), we ended up purchasing two pairs, and they're perfect. This probably only took about 1.5 hours or so including custom heat molding! My salesguy even let me know about some skis if I wanted to buy over rent, which was very helpful. I ended up coming back next week to purchase them, which was yet another great experience. I told him the budget I wanted to work with and he just smiled and said he could make it happen. Walked in and selected skis and bindings within 20ish minutes and picked them up freshly mounted three days later. The customer service here is fantastic, it's just people doing what they love and hoping others can share their passions. So happy someone recommended Christy's to me and I will continue to do the same. read more

First time here we were looking for gloves. My husband had an easy time finding some in his size but I had to settle on a pair because there wasn't much options for women that weren't over $100. Good selection of helmets and goggles. Okay selection of jackets. BUT. We were in the glove section for 10 mins trying on pairs and the same worker girl came up 3 times within a 5 minute period. We said we did not need help the first time/second time and then the 3rd time she came up I asked her if we were doing something wrong because she keeps asking us over and over. It felt like they thought we were stealing. It was super uncomfortable. Then she stood around and watched us. We ended up finding some but it was not a comfortable shopping experience. read more

Even Dec 24th (today) I got brand new boots I was a little frustrated with the online system and wasn't able to book in Advance for 20% off which would have been a $25 savings, even after confirming with the store (it said no inventory available even though there was). We ran all over the city trying to find boots for my husbands skis I bought him for Christmas to go skiing the weekend after New Year's Eve. Silly me didn't realize how rare his size 12 boots were, so we were running out of time to find boots. I finally gave in and decided to rent. I was so pleasantly surprised how affordable it was to rent at Christy Sports! It made the choice a no-brainer. Then when we went in to pick up the boots the night before and get them fitted to the skis, I was prepare to spend an hour or longer at the store - we were finished in about 20 minutes or less! And to top it all off, the night before we were supposed to go skiing, our car got broken into and our lift tickets got stolen - of course ruining our plans to go out that day. I went to Christy Sports with a copy of our police report and explained what happened and they let us move the rental to the next day so we could actually go up and go skiing as planned (a day later). This isn't even the closest Christy Sports location relative to my home in Denver, but I always come back here anyway because the crew is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about snow sports. I used my gear this last weekend and it was great, excited to have my skis through April while I figure out what to eventually purchase. I had taken a few seasons off from snowboarding and sold off my gear. After looking around I rented a snowboard here for the 19/20 season, just to get back into it. When I went in Brandon took the time to help me figure out the right board for my needs. After a couple of times up when I was having some issues with the slider I again had Brandon help me and he was able to get me something that got it fixed. When I finally decided I was going to invest in my own binding Brandon again helped me. He helped me chose the right bindings to invest in and even took the time to help install them on a board that was better suited to them. Brandon has obviously been fantastic, but all of the people I've worked with when there have been awesome as well. read more

Super helpful, friendly staff! I recently purchased a set of used skis from Epic up the road and was trying to get them fitted for a weekend trip (which was in like 2 days). They would've needed weeks to do it, so they recommended I take them to Christy instead. Not only were they able to do it that same day (actually in about 4 minutes while I was waiting in the lobby), they did it for free, and wouldn't even let me pay them when I offered a tip. Fantastic new ski buying experience--wouldn't go anywhere else. I talked with store manager Jonah in Aug., and last week he remembered the conversation, and put me in touch with Asst. Mgr Scott. They could have upsold me $150, but based on my goals (quickness, forgiveness, flotation and stability in crud), and my profile--go with the Armada ARV 106. Then they had a demo pair in stock and the demo price applied to a new sale. Mike set me up with the demos and then he mounted the new Look Pivot 12's on the new boards, and detuned them for hookiness. Everyone is knowledgeable, loads of experience--a place an avid skier can trust. Even the young dark haired guy who I talked to about new thicker ski socks recommended staying with my old, good thin socks--and I truly appreciate the culture of integrity at Christy's Arvada. Heck, I'll probably go back to them when my BBQ grill wears out. read more

We had just landed in Denver and were headed toward Breckenridge to start our ski trip. We just needed to pick up our skis and poles first. We made the mistake of not checking store hours and got to Christy's at closing. Lucky for us, and seeing our desperation, the manager let us in. We were helped by Jude and he was incredibly helpful and friendly. He made sure our equipment was secure and adjusted appropriately. He was so nice the entire time despite working a bit after hours. Probably the BEST service I've had in any type of retail-situation. I went for snowboard bindings, was sold exactly what I wanted in the price range I asked. Wasn't hassled or "upsold" on unnecessary things, although was helped with my boot insoles, because I didn't realize the burning sensation under your feet was treatable. They customized the insoles for me, and were super friendly, and personable. It was actually an enjoyable experience. If you go there for anything snowboard related, as for BRANDON. He was super knowledgeable, helpful and witty. Promised me a tune up after I rode a couple times. Just a very chill environment, the only thing missing was a snowy mountain to hop on. Best part, they let me bring my dog in and he ran around greeting customers while I got my fittings just right. The owners, (i assume) were an older couple who were just so sweet and hospitable.
