since moving to the area, I've been to the salon three different times two for a haircut and one…read moremost recently for a haircut and color. This most recent visit was honestly not the best. I went in for a action Culler and no, I should've done a bit more of the relationship building with the actual stylist. She wasn't super familiar with my hair, but the woman that I previously was visiting I couldn't find on their website. So I went in and requested a pretty vibrant color. she was about 20 minutes behind because of a previous client that was talking quite a bit, though. I suspect it was actually her just based on how she was during my visit once in her seat, she looked at my hair a bit more closely and suggested that she was going to do a new technique on my hair to try and break down the dark color. I am totally open for experimentation. fast-forward about three hours into the job, she completely forgot to notice on my reservation that I had also wanted a hairstyle. When I spoke to the receptionist about the color that I wanted the color of my hair and what I was looking for, she told me to estimate between 3 to 4 hours for my hair. I had done that, but it was taking considerably longer, and by the time she wrapped up with my hair, I was already late for a meeting. So did I get a haircut? No, I did not. The hairstylist was friendly enough at the end, recognizing that she had fail to notice I wanted a haircut from the very beginning. She told me to reschedule my haircut at a later time since I had already paid for it within the cost of the color. Honestly, it was such a pain to schedule this session with my full-time 9to5 job, that I'd rather just take the loss of the money and, find someone else to cut my hair. but the reason for my lower star review is really because of the actual dye job. After about a month and a half of using color safe shampoo and other things to keep my vibrant color, the majority of the color had washed out. I'm now three months out from when I dyed my hair and the color is all but gone and I'm left with this gross blonde green. personally i think it's because she tried a new technique that she even said herself she was not really familiar with.

I was wrong when I arrived there were two people sitting in the chair. One is having her hair colored I think and the other is having a haircut. There were three more people waiting sitting on the back and on the other side. What? I thought I had an appointment with her. She's the only one cutting the hair. I waited for a while and decided to leave because I don't want to waste my precious time sitting around waiting for her. Apparently, she is overbooked and didn't want to admit it. Nine days later, she texts me and says she wants to book an appointment. I told her I still didn't have the budget for that and that is when she said she'd do it for $100. I thanked her and was actually really excited. Three weeks later, I finally have an appointment. I asked what the latest time she could start on the day my appointment was bc I had to go to Houston to run an important errand. That's when she told me she actually had to take her mom to the doctor. It worked out well for both of us even though I thought it was a little strange that she just flat out moved it to the next day even though she told me she was always booked "six weeks out". So I'm waiting in the front and Tiffany comes out and ignores me for about a minute to talk to one of her friends about a hair show in Dallas. I overlooked that. She was nice the whole appointment and we talked a lot; I liked this person. I told her I wanted very natural looking balayage as if the sun had done it but maybe just a little more. I watched as she mixed a powder and a creamy thing in a bowl. (When I told her my hair was breaking off the next day, she claimed to have added the olaplex treatment which protects hair when you lighten it as much as she did even though she did not add it) She quickly noticed the shock on my face when she pulled the towel off of my hair to reveal almost blonde hair. She kept reassuring me that it would look great and that I would love it. Believing her, I tried to give it a chance. I really tried. In her defense, it looked pretty, just not on my skin tone. It wasn't at all what I asked for and since she went so much lighter, that meant that it damaged my hair that much more. So she completely disregarded me and decided to do what would look good to her. She also told me she saved on cost by not toning my hair.. Everyone I've talked to has told me that is an important step. I even agreed to take pictures in the 100 degree Texas heat. Notice how in one of the pictures I am uncomfortably close to a corner. She literally said "get as close to the corner as possible" so we could both fit in a tiny space for her precious pictures. Immediately when I got home, one of my neighbors sitting on her 2nd floor balcony complimented my new BLONDE hair. A lot of my friends complimented my BLONDE OMBRÉ. When I woke up the next day and it wasn't all pretty and curled, reality set in; my hair was breaking off, it felt like sandpaper, and it wouldn't even hold a curl. I looked horrible. Completely opposite of what I was going for. I tried to put my hair into a pony to see how it looked, it was streaky and almost and orangy color. So even though she asked me to "try it out for a few days before you make up your mind to make it darker" I could not.I called her as soon as I looked in the mirror the next morning and she told me "come at 2:30" no smileys or hearts or anything like before. Then she says, "come later I'm not done" I get there and she is doing her cousins (or niece idk someone she was related to) hair and is still nice but no where near as talkative or friendly as she was over text or the day she first got her hands on my hair. I see the little olaplex bottle next to the bowl with her relatives hair mixture. So she makes me wait for a long time then in between doing stuff to the other girls hair, she puts me in a sink and dyes my hair while she's spraying it with water. She dripped hair dye in my eyes not once, but TWICE. She was showing me that the hair wasn't getting darker like I'm supposed to know what to do. She also mentioned that she's "known for going off course" with clients. I go home, dry my hair and it's no where near where I want it to be. It's still way too light. I replied to her text a few days later and told her I wasn't happy with my hair and that's when she invites me back for a third time "to add darker pieces to the bottom". No thank you I just want a refund. Apparently then I'm a "scammer" and starts throwing personal blows. I will never return.
