I watched the monks, each with their own set of master craftsman skills, make this place one day at a time. If you come here, you will be greeted openly by someone who will try to answer your questions. The monks and lay people as well are full of grace. Please do not wear a hat or shoes inside the temple or other buildings. If you are female, you should understand that the monks are not allowed in Thai Buddhism to touch you or even touch an object at the same time that you are--so please be respectful of this. Putting your palms together when addressing a monk is polite and not standing fully erect in the temple with the Buddha staue is as well. When the temple grounds were being built, I saw the monks working very hard. One monk, Phra Narong, who was the master architect of the dragon and many other things there would constantly be working while his lips were cracked and bleeding. He never thought a thing of it. I was sad when I had to leave the temple to make an out of state move and I told Phra Narong that I would miss him and never forget him with tear filled eyes and he turned to me and said quite simply with a smile "Why not?" If you dont understand this, it is the Buddhis principle of non-attachment at work. I, being inexperienced at such things had become very attached to a few of the monks there. They were always very kind to me and my daughter and I had the rare opportunity to be able to teach some of them english for a while. Monk Phra Pa Jon was an amazing person of heart. He had to go back to Thailand right before I had to move out of state. I was so sad, that I couldnt go say goodbye to him, because I knew I would cry too much. If you go here, be sure and ask your greeter what you can do to insure that you are being polite and following Thai custom appropriately. If you are so inclined, ask if there is anything that you can do to help that day. Maybe the ladies need help in the kitchen. Maybe the grounds could be swept. Please be sure and smile. Thais understand a nice big smile and probably have one waiting for you. If you encounter someone that is very serious, dont be offput by that. In Thai Buddhism, getting to the point and not wasting words with frivolous conversation is customary. Have an idea of what you want to ask before going and you will feel most comfortable when interacting. If you like, when you go into the grounds, just go occupy a bench in the court yard are and likely someone will come to you and greet you. Also, dont point, touch people's heads or touch things or point with your feet. This is very rude in their culture. Enjoy and feel lighter when you leave. Then come back

About 20 dollars should keep you full! Bring cash, they don't accept cards! Most food items run from 2 to 10 dollars. Like 2 dollar skewers and 5 for 10 skewers or 5 dollar papaya salad or 5 dollar big jug/cup of freshly pressed sugar cane juice or another favorite of mine coconut juice. I reccomend trying skewers and if you like spicy, the papaya salad will burn your mouth and your insides but its definitely a good funky spicy kick. Everyone comes and drinks lots of beer and all the foods accommodate alcohol well. I think you can bring your own drinks but they also sell beer there too. It can get hot so wear light clothes and bring a light jacket in case it might rain or get windy. Some ppl bring umbrellas haha. They also sell like thai boat noodles, pho, sticky rice, a bunch of other fried items like fried bananas and quail and wings and etc. It's a great way to learn about the culture and support the local community and have a cute little date or a fun friends outing.

This is an enormous church the resembles an auditorium. Greeters are out front to hold the door for you and make you feel welcome. The church is secure with Police officers watching the grounds. I felt really safe, as I walked in. The officer wasn't on his phone like, many others. He was alert and ready for action. Sunday School was a nice experience. Ladies were welcoming. The teacher helped us understand scripture better, by reading each verse line by line. She also asked us thought provoking questions. Morgan showed us how our lives our applicable to the scriptures. To the lady, who worked in Childrens Ministry and whore a cute Disney Mask. Thank you for living out scripture. See Mathew 25:35. Your presence was calming, sweet and reassuring. Worship Pastor was the best! He resembled, the Christian Comedian, Michael Jr. He really focused on hearing from God. He demonstrated Hebrews 12:10 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfector of our faith. He performed not for the audience but, for Jesus. The sound was crystal clear like the Omni Theater! The Worship Band performed my current favorite songs, such as Holy Spirit, Do it Again and Promises! The drummer was a female and she was as good as Suzette Quintanilla! ( The sister of the late Tejano legend, Selena.) Pastor Jason Paredes was well spoken. He had a subtle Spanish accent but it was cute. It really worked for him. He was also dressed to impress. He told us that he had a sermon ready to preach but, the Spirit was telling him to tell a different story because, someone needed to hear it. Pastor JP delivered his sermon without missing a beat. He spoke about how to pray in the name of Yeshua and delivered a compelling story about sharing your faith. I was so moved by his preaching, I began to weep. I had an encounter.The spirit spoke to me and told me, I need to witness to particular person, who is Agnostic. Pray for me, Ya'll. This is a safe nurturing environment. A spirit lead Church with an incredible Worship team and Staff. It's a must attend!
