We came twice and we had the same experience: we ordered the drinks before we ordered foods, and the drinks came waaaay after we finished our foods. Yeah you're looking at at least 30 minutes to get your drink. All the drinks have fancy looks, but they all taste the same: very bland and full of ice. Misleading price, dishonest promotion, and poor transparency I visited Chubbi Tea Shoppe and ordered three Smashed Avocado Durian drinks after confirming with the staff that the "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" promotion applied. The staff clearly said "Yes" when I asked if the Avocado Durian was included. However, when the receipt came out, I was charged: * $9.00 for each "Smashed Avocado King" * +$2.50 for "Add Durian" (each cup!) Even for the free drink, they still charged $2.50 for durian, saying the "free" part was only the avocado base -- not the full drink. So in reality, I paid $27.73 for 3 drinks, meaning nothing was really free. Then I checked Yelp: * The posted price for Smashed Avocado Durian is $9.85, already including durian. * But in-store, they charged $11.50 ($9 + $2.50). When I asked, the staff said, "We can't change the price on Yelp." That's false! any business owner can update their Yelp menu anytime. To make things worse, the cashier never asked about drink size and automatically selected "King" size, making the price higher without my consent. Summary: 1. Price on Yelp actual charged price. 2. "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" promotion is misleading (still charged for topping). 3. Auto-upgraded to "King" without asking. 4. Dishonest explanation about Yelp pricing (you can edit it). I came here for their avocado smash BOGO promo since my friend recommended. To be honest, the one cup could easily be shared by 2 adults. I love that they keep their smoothies menu with the season for example sapodilla smoothie is only available for certain months of the year. They really try to provide all the tropical fruit smoothies like in Asia which I miss so much. It was my first time going inside this market and I was surprised like "wow am I in Vietnam right now?" All the shops here have set up just like the traditional Vietnamese market food court. That means no AC. I wonder if they would have some kind of fans for the summer time. Please avoid this place if you value your own time at all. We were told 25 minutes for our 3 drinks (which is already insane) and waited almost an hour to receive them. We ran late to our doctors appointment at 3:30 pm despite paying at 2:10 pm because they're THAT slow at making smoothies. Not a single sorry or any concern from them. After 50 minutes of sitting around in a dingy, dirty and depressingly cramped "marketplace" that looked more like a summer swap meet storage warehouse, we asked about our drinks and they said "we just put it in the blender" They prioritize their phone call orders but not the customers waiting in front of them. You are a business, find a more efficient way to make your smoothies, respect your customers' time. Expecting them to sit around and wait an hour for $9 drinks is absurd. To top it all off, the drinks weren't good. We didn't see anything that capture our eyes until we saw this place. I got strawberry tornado & my mom and uncle got the soursop drinks. The strawberry tornado was very fruity, delicious, and sweet. It has a good taste of the strawberry. The crystal boba was soft, chewy, and not hard. I would give this drink a 5/5 since it has a great strawberry and sweet taste to it. My mom & uncle got the soursop drinks and they both love soursop and it comes with jelly on top. I think they would give it a 5/5 since it's a refreshing and delicious drink. The service was fast & employee is very nice and friendly. There is plenty of parking. The store has a great atmosphere, seating is inside, and clean. I'm generally not picky when it comes to fruit tea, but this place really missed the mark. I ordered ambarella fruit tea half sweet, and somehow ended up with a mouthful of syrup; it was unbearably sweet, as if the drink wasn't mixed properly. On top of that, waited for 30 minutes for just one drink only made the experience worse. I threw away the drink after 4 sips and I even tried to mix it up, but it did not help. Big portion but did not taste good at all. I got bo dam sau rieng and strawberry smoothies. Prefer to spend money on other popular bo dam, it's smaller cup but tastes much better. I couldn't finish since it was yucky. My kids loves smoothies and couldn't finish either. Smoothies needs to put more condensed milk in it for more creamy. Just very sweet. Ordered boba at 830pm and the honey boba was old and hard. Didn't taste like it had honey on it. The service was friendly though. Located inside a food court to the left right as you enter. Dragonfruit tea - crazy sweet. Couldn't drink it Tropical Fruit tea - not very sweet but the old boba made the drink not taste good Soursop tea - I can slightly taste the sour flavor but overall bleh and bland. This experience was absolutely ridiculous. My parents came to Chubbi Tea Shoppe earlier today and waited 35 minutes for just three drinks. The place wasn't even busy. After making them wait that long, the staff gave them stickers of the drinks (??) and told them to come back later in the day to actually get them after my parents got fed up with waiting for half an hour. So I show up later at 7:05 PM to pick them up -- thinking it'd be quick and simple since the drinks were already paid for and "promised." It's now 7:46 PM as I'm writing this, and I'm still waiting. On a random Tuesday night. No holiday, no rush, no excuses. This is absolutely outrageous. A tea shop should not have this much trouble managing a couple of drink orders. I tried the Mung Bean Pandan and it had actually some jello bits but it wasn't as strong of a green color or strong of pandan flavor as expected. They were really accommodating in terms of adjusting this to not have whole milk for me. My Dad tried the Avocado Durian and thought it was pretty good and sweetier than expected. My friend had the combo dessert and thought it wasn't bad but also a little too sweet for her taste. Overall, it was worth it considering they currently have a Buy 2, Get 1 free deal, but each drink was $7 so without there deal, this would be on the pricier side. read more

When i came in there was no line in front of me but i had to wait several minutes before the worker noticed me and came to the register. Once i placed my order i walked around the area and waited for about 15 mins before the worker came and said they are out of one drink so what would i replace it with to which i said just refund me one drink and i'll just grab the other two since i wasn't getting the buy 2 get 1 free deal anyways. I thought i would have to maybe wait like another 5 or 10 minutes or so since i saw other reviews about them taking a long time with orders and i had already waited 15 mins but NO 40 mins later when i finally ran out of patience and just asked them if my drinks are ready or just cancel and give me a full refund, did they quickly finished my two drinks.
