    Matcha Egg Waffle
    Millena P.

I say this every time because it's true .. desserts after dinner is always essential! Parking: There's a medium/large parking lot. Finding a spot can be easy. We visited late at night, so it was a bit trickier. Ambiance/Environment: We visited a quarter till 9pm, and it was poppin. Every indoor table and seat was full. It's very casual and family friendly. The tables do need a cleaning though. The table we were at was sticky and full of crumbs. We stayed till 11pm, and it was still poppin. Service: We self ordered through the kiosks. They were extremely busy, so throughput took long. We waited about 25 min for our drinks and bubble waffle. Dessert & drinks: I've always gotten their signature puddings. That's what they're best known for - hot desserts. Though, I wanted to try something different. 1) Fluffy Thai Tea w/ Mini Q - I had high hopes for their new Thai series. I thought it tasted okay .. the tea wasn't as strong as I preferred. It was very sweet, so I suggest adjusting the sweetness level. The foam was thick, and the mini pearls tasted as expected. 2) Matcha Egg Waffle - Rather than getting my usual, I tried their egg waffles. The matcha flavor came through. The egg waffle texture and taste was as expected. Can't mess up a classic waffle. The ice cream, red beans, and jelly paired well with it. Pricing: Prices have gone up over the years, and honestly I don't blame them for operating in this economy. I'd definitely come back for their signature desserts!

Worst MeetFresh location ever!!!!! I can't believe I saw Krak Boba next door and thought "nah I want real boba" and ended up with this overpriced watery soup. I ordered Fresh Milk / Boba Tea 1/2 sweet and it's the worst 1/2 sweet milk tea I've ever had. Tasted like water or milk tea that had a ton of ice melted into it. NEVER would have thought a Taiwanese shop would disappoint me. I also ordered the hot red bean dessert with all the other toppings and it just came out looking like it was randomly tossed together. Taste wise? Fine but with the milk tea being ass and seeing this presentation just ruined everything. I barely go out to enjoy myself now and I can't believe I wasted my calories/free meal from my diet here

Black Sugar Boba Milky Shaved Ice (Large)

Went here on a hot day and the portions and value did not disappoint! The black sugar boba milky shaved ice was very reminiscent of a blended milk tea through a spoon. The boba on the side was so much and so warm. They ran out of ice cream so they just gave a big cup of soft serve which is arguably better suited for this dessert. They also have a promo for $1 wintermelon tea which was refreshing. I had so much boba leftover that I just topped off the drink with it. Service was a little slow even though there were only a few customers but the value def made up for it!

Came here on a warm day craving shaved ice to cool down and ordered the taro mochi milk shaved ice with almond jelly. It was HUGE -- definitely shareable -- but unfortunately, that was about the only highlight. The ice itself was pretty chunky (I personally prefer a finer, fluffier shave), and it was mostly just a big pile of bland ice. The toppings -- taro, mochi, and almond jelly -- were also pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. We even had to ask for extra condensed milk just to give it some taste, and still ended up removing a lot of the ice because there was just too much of it. That said, the space itself is nice -- plenty of seating with comfortable cushioned seats, and it was fairly empty on a Sunday afternoon, which made it easy to relax and cool down. For nearly $17, it didn't feel worth it. If you're specifically looking for flavorful shaved ice, this isn't the spot.

I love going to Meet Fresh!! One of my friend groups love to go here after all of our dinner plans so we tend to frequent it pretty build your own grass jelly. They used to have a grass jelly C that we liked but I think they changed their menu, but our favorite toppings are the melon jelly, boba, condensed milk, and the mini yellow and purple balls (I forgot what they're called). It's refreshing, shareable, and a great balance between creamy and icy. It does get crowded sometimes but there has always been seats when I've gone with my friends. It's an easy order process through a kiosk and you pick it up on the side. I will be back!

Came here on a Monday afternoon and ordered three drinks. It wasn't even busy but they forgot to add boba to one of the drinks that is supposed to include boba. Disappointing.

Amazing service and amazing people. It was my first time trying this place and I was not disappointed at all, the items have just the right amount of flavors, make you want to try all of them lol. The atmosphere is really a good place to hangout after any situation. (PS I'd say try their green tea too. It's amazing, different than any other green tea for sure, even different than other franchises)

I'm not crazy about desserts but after the heavy lunch in Paradise Dynasty, our group wanted to try Taiwanese dessert place so someone recommended this place in Westminster. I've would never visit this place since the name is meeting fresh and all sweet stuff here. I've tried the signature bowl, called Icy Grass Jelly Signature with all the trimming and some tea, came out to $21 LOL. No wonder my kids are raking the credit card bills like crazy. Dessert cost more than a meal at McDonalds or In-n-Out burger. Amazing. Yes, it's very tasty and good, the place is nice and clean, it's all self services. There is no ice water to wash down the sugar in all these bowls. Anyhow, this place is for young people who like sweet and trendy stuff, I'm too old for this. My kids are working part time making $16-$18/hr, how can they afford these without daddy credit card?

    Jonathan C.

Good Taiwanese desserts to choose from if you're in the area. A little pricey depending what you get but it's really good. Don't get too many things or you'll get over sweetened but the ice desserts and bobas are really good.

8/10 Black Sugar Boba Milky Shaved Ice - I liked it. I didn't love it. The only thing for me was the texture of the ice--personally, I love when it's silky smooth, almost like soft ice cream, and this one didn't quite hit that mark. That said, the toppings were a solid 10/10, and the boba was absolute perfection! Plus, they gave such a generous amount of sauce to pour over. Cost - $16.11 for the large size with tax.

    osmanthus shaved ice
    Jin H.

Usually I love Meet Fresh everything, so this review is only for their new osmanthus menu. Got the osmanthus shaved ice and it wasn't as good as my go-to here, the q mochi shaved ice. The osmanthus flavor wasn't really there, just a lot of sweetness if anything. The toppings were also not as good as the q mochi. I'll be back to try their other new menu items though since they sounded really good- they have a thai tea and dubai chocolate series apparently

    Jenny L.

Stopped by Meet Fresh in Westminster on a hot day with a discount coupon--but the visit was a disappointment. Staff were really impatient and unhelpful about using coupons. Ordered the Grape Mango Shaved Ice ($15.75 with 25% off) and expected mango chunks, but mostly got under-ripe pineapple--hard, tart, and artificial tasting. On top of that, the printed menu doesn't show prices, and you have to either download the app or see the counter menu which is super inconvenient. Overall: poor service, misleading dessert, and I probably won't be coming back. Meet Fresh 15606 Brookhurst St, Westminster, CA 92683

    Randy T.

My girl and I had horrible service at Krak Boba which is next door so we said forget this place and noticed the Meet Fresh next to Krak had a similar promotion which was a life saver! We both got their Black Sugar Boba Fresh Milk which is the best Milk Tea ever!!!

The beef with the scallion pancakes was sooo tender. The cucumber salad was extra refreshing with the perfect balance of savory and tangy. You also can't ever go wrong with spicy wontons, pan fried buns, popcorn chickens, or braised green beans. Yum! Huge bonus: the restaurant is directly connected to Ben Gong's Tea. Mine and my bf's go to are the dry fried green beans, mapo tofu, Chong Qing Spicy Chicken, and Yang Chow fried rice. These are more than enough for two people and we always have leftovers to take home. The mapo tofu pairs soooo well with the fried rice and my bf loves the chicken. Green beans are flavorful and crispy as well! Hot and sour soup is HUGE. They aren't consistent in making this because some days it's the perfect balance of tangy and spicy flavor, but other times its tooooo sour. The restaurant is very spacious. We waited one hour on my visit, but that is to be expected as the restaurant is quite small. Beef Rolls (5/5): We got two orders of these, and it was our favorite for a reason. Crispy and flaky wrap on the outside and it was packed with flavor. It was very satisfying to eat! Scallion Pancakes (3.5/5): They were plain but that is to be expected, I didn't taste much scallion. It needed the sauce of course! Spicy Wontons (4/5): These are solid and the chili oil does pack a lot of heat. I would say they are on the spicier side, just wish there was a little more depth to it. Seven Grams XLB (4/5): Juicy and flavorful! Not the absolute best I've had, but still worth ordering. Golden Beef Noodle Soup (5/5): This bowl right here was amazing. Green leafy kale paired with the extra hearty soup was what made this bowl a standout dish for me. 100% would order this alone! Mapo Tofu (5/5): Yummy silky tofu cubes with the minced meat sauce were delicious in every bite! I had no other complaints, but this dish gets very filling easily. Seriously, this place is one of my favorite places in Tustin. The service one inside is efficient, and the ambience is a bit noisy and packed, but this place is popular for a reason. I'll definitely revisit this spot when I get the chance.

Seating consider is around 10 tables plus hjgh top stools, so if you are a large group the wait can be long. We stopped by yesterday to try out some new items, which were a mixed bag. First the Cheese Chicken Roll was surprisingly good. Imagine the Beef Roll and swap things around to get something off of a fancy KFC menu. It features a crispy flaky tortilla outside, wrapped around copious chicken (katsu texture), some lettuce for a crunch, some melted cheese, and then a spicy Thousand-Island type dressing. It all pairs well, has a good chicken portion, and texture variation too. My only desire would be for slightly more lettuce and slightly less cheese, otherwise perfect. Crispy Lotus Root Fries are solid, but not a replacement for typical potato fries. The lotus version was not as crispy or crunchy, but would be an Asian version. It comes with ketchup and the same spicy thousand island dressing as the chicken roll. Lastly we were let down by the Pan Fried Shrimp&Chicken Dumplings (Whole Wheat). The whole wheat wrapping had a very slight texture difference, not as chewy as the typical dumpling wrapping. But the inside was the main focus. It seemed like it was a fishball inside, a homogenous color and texture and more reminiscent of fish than of shrimp. It's possible we got the wrong dumpling. Based on this experience we would not order it again. Wheat wrapping would be fine, but the shrimp/chicken filling would be a no.

The restaurant itself is a bit on the small side so you'll be close to your neighbors not that it was an issue personally. My buddy and I ordered our items and shared with each other for a good full experience. We got the three-in-one noodles medium heat and the Ma Hu Beef noodles with mild heat alongside the cucumbers with medium heat as an appetizer. Cucumbers were very fresh! However, they really were just cucumbers with a little heat on them so they weren't anything too special. Once the main entrees came in, I couldn't stop myself from digging in! I forgot to take a picture until after some damage was done to our meals. Three-in-one was so flavorful and sweet with the noodles becoming incredibly soft after having mixed it all together. The star of the show for me though was the Ma Hu Beef noodles. The beef was remarkably tender and delicious and the noodles had a firmer texture that complimented with the flavors. Oddly enough, the mild heat on the Ma Hu Beef was spicier than the medium heat three-in-one! If you find yourself in the mood for Biangbiang noodles, this is definitely the spot to go to. On a side unrelated note about the parking which did not influence my review; the parking here is rough. It's consistently packed so watch out for that. There is a structure across the street that allows parking for the food court. I parked in the structure but I had a bad experience because since it's also parking for the residents above, the gate was closed on us after 8pm. I had to wait for a vehicle to come out and open the gate for not only just me but for multiple other people that had also parked in the structure!Just something to keep in mind. Steamed Chicken & Corn Dumplings (6 pieces - $13.00): I should have read the menu more closely as these steamed dumplings contained corn and I certainly wasn't expecting this ingredient. They tasted alright. Shrimp with Pork Siu Mai (6 pieces - $12.50): Ironically this appetizer order was probably the best of the three, but damn hefty price tags for 6 small pieces of pork siu mai. *** 3-star for the food but bump down due to (1) the food took a long time to prepare (20+ minutes) despite this being a fast-casual restaurant and (2) the portions were small relative to the somewhat expensive prices. The prices on these dumplings were pretty decent and affordable. We ordered, house special beef noodle soup, juicy pork dumplings, and scallion pancakes! Overall, I'd say everything was pretty solid and would recommend this place if you love dumplings!

We ordered 3 "kids meals", which was a Pikachu bun fried chicken sandwich. But, it was served all on one place with fries. Not sure why they weren't plated separately with 3 servings of fries instead. It felt like they were cutting corners. We couldn't finish the sandwiches. They had too much mayonnaise on the oily fried chicken. They even gave us extra mayonnaise on the side. The fried buns were not crunchy. They were rubbery and hard to bite into. The bottom was spongey/soggy-like. We ended up only eating the meatball inside. We didn't enjoy them at all. Inside was hot and humid. There wasn't any air-conditioning or fans running/offered. The staff interaction was minimal. The only times were when we entered, they told us to pick anywhere to sit, and when they came out with the food. Everything else was done on your mobile device.

The food came reasonably quickly even though the restaurant was packed when we were there. The dishes were tasty and well executed (*Garlic Pea Shoot was my personal favourite). Generous portion too. Next to the restaurant is a wholesale market (an international grocery market called Rivera Food Service). Location is really convenient if you need to do grocery shopping and grab a quick lunch.

This is a chain and I've been to the ones in LA and always enjoyed the food there. I was happy to see one open up in the OC. The interior is very unassuming and is next to a bulk sized grocery store for Asian food. The signs are almost hidden from the front so you wouldn't know to look for it unless you read these reviews first! We tried a variety of items: Shrimp egg rolls, fish with seaweed, fried pork buns, Shanghai rice cakes, and salt and pepper pork. All the items were really tasty except for the fried pork buns - don't get those. The bun part was very mushy and you didn't get any soup inside. The fish with seaweed and salt and pepper pork chops were excellent. Very flavorful and not too salty. I would definitely get those again. The Shanghai style rice cakes are also very good, nice and chewy, definitely cooked correctly. And you can't go wrong with the shrimp egg rolls - they came with large chunks of shrimp which was nice. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous compared to what you would find in Irvine for similar quality. I would come back!

It's about time I reviewed them! My number one dish goes to the minced pork rice- it's a pretty simple dish, but it's sooo good here for some reason. I've ordered this dish at other Taiwanese restaurants and nothing compares to the one at A&J- the pork is always SO flavorful, never dry and enough to coat all the rice, the egg is perfection, and all the little garnishes compliment the dish so well. It's also just as amazing takeout which I always appreciate. Other go-tos are the spicy beef noodle soup- the beef in it is always so tender and I love getting the thick noodle option because of the rough texture it adds. Beef roll and pan fried dumplings are always a good option for sharing. Have tried a lot of things on their menu and nothing so far has disappointed!

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the beef noodle soup, minced pork over rice, spicy wontons, fried pork chop, and scallion pancake. At first, the portions looked smaller than we expected, but the prices were reasonable and the food ended up being more filling than it appeared. We actually thought we'd need to order several more dishes for our group of four, but by the end of the meal we were completely satisfied. My favorite was definitely the spicy wontons. The wontons themselves were great, but the sauce was flavorful, slightly spicy, and addictive!
