I had seen that the Alice in Wonderland bottles were available in the Instastory so made a point of visiting the store to get drinks after an appointment and on our way to run an errand. I ordered my usual of strawberry matcha latte with soy, a strawberry lemonade, and I had to have the Malibu smoothie again because I enjoyed it so much on my last visit. Daughter ordered a pink frost, a strawberry hibiscus lemonade, and a rose lemonade. A couple came in to order after us and a man came to pick up his coffee while we waited for our drinks. I asked my daughter if she thought the Cinnamoroll with a pink hat was available in association with the Alice in Wonderland bottles. She didn't think so. She thought the Sanrio plushies, even the Melody in her cute dress, are part of the spring Sakura collection. Any time I suffer a leg cramp, my husband tells me that I should have a banana. I like my banana in a smoothie. The Malibu is described as being a blended strawberry, banana, and blueberry smoothie with strawberry and blueberry bits. I would not say they are blueberry bits. There are actual plump blueberries and strawberry chunks. Daughter likes the Tropical Storm, but wanted the coconut jelly in the pink frost. She prefers the strawberry lemonade to the strawberry hibiscus lemonade. She couldn't really taste the rose syrup in the rose lemonade. read more

This place is super duper cute, small but really cute! They sell cute Sanrio and friends stuffies, totes, cups, and fun other Knick knacks. There isn't any place really to hang out here so no tables and a few chairs (probably to sit while just waiting for your drinks to be made). So you must order to go. They have a black board with customers and the employees' favs so it's nice to have some recommendations. We ordered a milky latte $6.75 and a black milk tea $6.20 adding boba. The milky tea was creamy (note this has no coffee in it). The black milk tea was really good. Both were really refreshing and came in a super cute reuseable plastic bottle. I did read the sign on the door, and it said they serve in glass containers and to be aware and safe while handling it. But we were served in a plastic bottle instead. So not sure if they ran out or what. But if you expect a glass bottle just be aware you may not get one. I would definitely come back to try other as they have a vast menu of drinks! read more

But honestly, it's gone downhill since then, and now it just feels like you're paying for the souvenir cup, not the drink. The drinks themselves are nothing special anymore. They're usually about 70% ice and maybe 30% actual drink, even if you ask for light ice. The flavors are watered down, not well-balanced, and definitely not worth the hype or the price. Speaking of price, it's super overpriced--you're paying a premium for a drink that's under 16oz, and the quality doesn't justify it. Service is whatever--not rude, but also not anything memorable. At this point, it really just feels like a place people go for the aesthetic cups, not for the drink experience. If you're looking to get a new reusable water bottle, Roasting Water is the place to go. Lots of parking for easy access, everything is super cute, and if you follow them on IG, you might even find cute seasonal designs for your bottles. The menu has a good variety to choose from and isn't overly complicated. My favorite thing about toppings here is that the first scoop of boba is free, so most of the time I'm not paying extra. The downside is that some drinks aren't as customizable, such as the amount of sugar you can put in. I chose a regular oolong milk tea with cream and since I couldn't lower the sugar levels, it was a bit too sweet for my taste. I ordered the RW Coffee--it's on the sweeter side, but still has a nice strong coffee flavor, so it strikes a good balance. Attempted to go to another Roasting Water location, but that one was closed down for some reason. So here I am at this location, needing some refreshment before heading down to SD. This is a cute boba restaurant with merch throughout. They have a variety of boba drinks that come in cute portable plastic containers. The only issue is that these containers are narrow, so you can't put any ice in it. I mean, you can, but only a little ice since the vessel is narrow. I attempted to order the guava iced tea, but they are out of guava. Instead, I opted for the Lychee tea with Lychee bits and boba. The boba was soft and fresh, and tea was tasty enough. We were shopping nearby in Little Saigon and found this boba shop via Yelp. First off, the shop itself is very small so there are no chairs or tables. Just an order and go type of boba spot. The store is really tiny, kinda like a grab and go place. Staffs were all really nice and attentive. We order the green tea macchiato and green tea half sugar. I would suggest to order all drinks 1/4 sugar because the drinks we got are super sweet in my opinion but if you like sweet drinks then yes this place make their drinks pack with sugar! Came in before a concert on a Friday night. Went inside at 6:49pm. Came out at 6:56pm. It was quick, but she charged the drink incorrectly and tried to justify it a different way. We've been coming here for years, and they didn't change it, so I'm sure she was wrong. My cup was deformed. Luckily, the bottle still closed properly, and I liked the inside ice stopper part. There's no seal in the lid, but that didn't seem to be a problem with this bottle. I've had issues with some of their other bottles leaking. We'll be back, but we're definitely going to make sure it's charged properly before proceeding. I also wish there was a recycling bottle program. Maybe something to look into. read more
